Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly and Party
On Monday 3 July, we bade farewell to our wonderful Year 6 students in a touching and emotional Leavers' Assembly. This was followed by an afternoon filled with joy and celebration at their leavers' party. The assembly was a truly memorable event, featuring heartfelt and humorous memories shared by Kiera, Sanaa, Charlotte, Chloe Y (in 6 Aleph), and Amber, Gracie, Zoe, and Xiaocheng (in 6 Aesc). The students recollections of their time at Habs Girls were poignant and funny, reminding us of the special moments they have shared throughout the years.
The highlight of the assembly was a moving performance of Dr Seuss' beautiful poem, “The Places You'll Go ” . This powerful metaphor resonated deeply with everyone, capturing the endless possibilities and potential challenges that lie ahead for our incredible pupils. Ms Lansdown delivered an inspiring and uplifting speech, expressing her pride and best wishes for the departing students, which was followed by the handing out valedictories with Mrs Wright. The assembly concluded on a high note with an upbeat rendition of the song “ All in This Together" from the film "High School Musical ”. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by the Year 6 students was contagious, leaving everyone feeling buoyant and uplifted.
In the afternoon, Year 6 donned their most sparkly party outfits and made their way to the Performance Space, ready to let their hair down and dance to the latest pop songs. The atmosphere was electric as DJ Skittleman spun the tracks, filling the room with infectious rhythms. The Parents' Guild deserves immense credit for organizing such a memorable event, ensuring that the girls had a fantastic time. Plenty of refreshments and a photo booth added to the festivities, creating lasting memories for all in attendance.
Seeing the Year 6 students enjoy themselves so much was truly heartwarming. They exited the building in style, ready to embark on the next stage of their educational journeys. We cannot express enough gratitude for their hard work, dedication, and positive contributions to our school community. Year 6 have been a fantastic year group, and we wish them all the luck in the world as they move into the next chapter of their lives. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them.
