Motors Diagnostics
Class Objective:
This program will focus on understanding the operation of PSC motors, pulse width modulation motors, X13 motors, and variable speed motors. Students will study how to diagnose these issues with these motors. They will also learn how to evaluate capacitors

Class Objective:
In this class we will study dissipation controls , TXVs, reversing valves, high and lowpressure cutouts, thermistors and transducers. We will also be studying controlling a two stage A/C with a single stage thermostat and the Comfortmaker control board.

Air Conditioning Installation & Start Up
Class Objective:
This course is designed for HVAC Professionals who are responsible for proper installation and start up of Air Conditioning systems. Students will learn proper piping, vacuuming, charging, control wiring, and start up checks.

Class Objective:
We will focus on proper use of the psychrometer and thermometer to record and determine unit performance. Students will focus on the use of factory data in system evaluation along with covering compressor evaluation and TXV evaluation.

Basic Electric
Class Objective:
This program will take new HVAC professionals from the service panel into the furnace through the door switch to the transformer then the thermostat and back to the control board then out to the contactor. Students should bring their own multi-meter. They will learn how to use it. During this early morning class your employees will get hands on meter readings giving them experience on 24 volt, 115 volt, and 230 volt circuits. They will learn how to determine if the correct power is present and whether the ground is correct. This is a short program with focus on understanding proper electrical supply and nothing more.

Class Objective:
Students will learn how application and installation of Mitsubishi M&P products along with how to use Linkdrive and the MXZ design tool.

To our valued customers I would like to extend the offer of customizing classes to fit your needs. We at Habegger are constantly trying to bring you the right training programs at the correct time of the year for your needs. I am sure that you will find a course or courses in this catalog that someone in your organization will benefit from. Even so we know that you may have needs that are not met by the courses listed in the catalog. We will be glad to customize a course or courses to fit your needs. When necessary we can bring in other trainers and or our vendor partners to do training for you when needed. I would also like to point out that most of our programs are not brand specific and are geared to general HVAC service and installation. For these we charge $50 per student for most programs. We would like to offer the HVAC Contractor owner a discount of bringing two employees at no charge when the owner pays the regular price of $50 for their own seat and stays until the course is complete. One other thought I would like to leave you with is that you may not be getting a good ROI on some trainings you are sending your employees to. I know that training is an investment but what often happens is the employees that attend are not always sure how or even if they should apply what they learn in a class to your company you have worked so hard to build. The best way to correct this is to send a decision maker from your company along with them to the training. They can guide your employees on how or even whether to incorporate the new techniques and procedures they are learning. They {your decision makers} will then be better geared to help you choose which programs to invest in if they are at the programs themselves. You may have some of your own questions or ideas on training you would like to discuss with me. I would love to hear from you about that.
