Signs of Nursing Home Abuse

It is not easy to detect whether a loved is a victim of nursing home abuse. Often times, elderly individuals may be suffering from medical conditions that affect their mental capacity and ability to properly communicate what has happened. While it may be difficult for an elderly to communicate an abusive pattern at a nursing home facility, there are certain signs that loved ones can look for that may indicate nursing home abuse, such as: Bruises, cuts or serious scrapes. Bed sores or ulcers. Sudden change in personality or mood. Change in health condition, which is unrelated to a medical condition Sudden and unexplained weight loss. Torn clothing or broken personal items. If you notice any of these or other symptoms that may be indicative that your loved one has been subject to nursing home abuse or neglect, it is imperative that you immediately contact the appropriate authorities. www.habbaspilaw.com Call - 949-558-3421
