COMMON TYPES OF CAR ACCIDENTS

REAR END COLLISIONS One of the most common types of crashes is rear end collisions. These types of accidents happen when a motorist is not paying attention or following too closely to the car in front. They often occur in heavy, stop and go traffic. The best way to prevent rear end crashes is to leave sufficient space between you and the car in front of you.

T-BONE COLLISIONS T-bone collisions generally happen in an intersection when two vehicles are travelling in different directions. The most common scenarios include one car running a red light or stop sign without properly stopping, or taking a misjudged turn into oncoming traffic. These types of collisions are typically very dangerous and involve serious or fatal injuries.

SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISIONS Single vehicle crashes tend to involve high speeds and often happen among younger drivers. These types of collisions typically happen when a driver takes a turn too fast, hydroplanes or runs off the road and hits something.

LOW SPEED CONTACT COLLISIONS Low speed motor vehicle crashes generally happen in areas where people are driving at low speeds, like parking lots. They often happen when one driver is trying to avoid to maneuver their car without hitting other obstacles, but instead hit another car. Low speed accidents include any crash happening under 10 mph. Even though these crashes happen at a slow speed, they can nevertheless involve serious injuries to the victims.
