Final works underway on Mainstay Access Road: Road markings are set to be completed shortly on the one-kilometre Mainstay Access Road, Essequibo Coast, Region Two as the $187 million upgrade nears completion. The two-lane asphalt roadway includes reinforced concrete curbs, an additional 80 metres of pavement, a three-lane entrance, guard rails, improved shoulders and new signage, enhancing access to the Mainstay Airstrip and benefiting more than 2500 residents across Mainstay/Whyaka, Lima Sands and Tapakuma (President Dr Irfaan Ali’s social media page photo)
