he now 18-day-old “Avi” (Yuvesh Bistonauth) of Number 60 Village, who was abducted on May 24, was on Sunday found after Police acting on information, swooped down on a house located at 56 Chesney, Corentyne, Berbice. Two persons were taken into custody as the baby was reunited with his mother. According to sources, approximately 09:30h, Police acting on an anonymous tip, went to the home, where they confronted the woman “Debbie”, who claimed that the child was hers as she had given birth on May 23. The Police, not satisfied with her response, decided to detain her for questioning. But before going to the station, the Police took the woman to get a medical examination, which confirmed that the woman did not give birth recently.
