MEDICAL & HEALTHCARE Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers 28,634 SF | 52 jobs Construction underway for the facility at the northwest corner of 159th Avenue & McDowell Road with anticipated opening in June 2024.

• Radiation & Medical Oncology, CT & PET diagnostic imaging, state of the art radiation, chemo & immunotherapy treatments, as well as women’s oncology services.

SINGLE-FAMILY | PERMITS Single-family permits have averaged over 1,300 new homes per year to keep up with significant growth in Goodyear.

GSQ Globe Corporation and RED Development initiated a joint venture to build GSQ, a 150-plus-acre mixed-use development set to transform Goodyear as the city’s premier cultural hub. The new upscale development will include firstof-its-kind entertainment concepts, a mix of both high-end and fast-casual restaurants, signature retail and specialty shops, along with residential, office space, and hotel options.

Abrazo West Campus 6,900 SF | 3 jobs Completed construction on a 6,900 expansion which includes expanded pharmacy space and a second Interventional Radiology suite.

• Pharmacy expansion allows more efficient hospital operations for handling complex medications.

• Additional Interventional Radiology suite increases capacity for both emergent and scheduled procedures such as biopsies, angioplasties, and other vascular procedures.

MBI Industrial Medicine 6,000 SF | 6 Jobs MBI, an Arizona-based Occupational Health clinic, opened its second location in Goodyear at the southwest corner of Litchfield and Indian School Roads. With 13 clinics in Arizona, MBI specializes in occupational injury care for employers and their employees, providing fast and effective injury care to support a prompt return to work.

The Pilot Clinic 1,500 SF | 4 jobs Lifelong West Valley resident, veteran, and pilot Dr. Travis Allen opened The Pilot Clinic in Palm Valley Office Plaza at the northwest corner of Litchfield and McDowell Roads. Dr. Allen is a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and HIMS AME certified for the Federal Aviation Administration and a boardcertified internal medicine physician. He provides Direct Primary Care and Aviation Medical Examiner Services, specializing in comprehensive pilot evaluations.

INNOVATIONHUB The InnovationHub is celebrating its 10th Anniversary of serving entrepreneurs and small business owners. The Hub occupies a 1,200-squre-foot space in the Georgia T. Lord Library and offers FREE entrepreneurial and small business assistance, one-onone mentoring, workshops, networking opportunities, and many other business resources.

INFRASTRUCTURE news Water – Goodyear Water Reclamation Facility (GWRF) Goodyear is working with the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department to re-rate the 157th Avenue facility to increase its capacity. In addition, a capital improvement project is underway to remove the reverse osmosis (RO) concentrate from the plant, reducing the demand on the facility.

Street Improvements There are five major road widening projects with construction in FY 25 through FY 28.

• Estrella Parkway - Vineyard Rd. to MC85 • Cotton Lane - Estrella Pkwy. to the Gila River Bridge • SR 303 Extension - MC85 to Van Buren St. • Camelback Road - SR 303 to 152nd Ave. • Estrella Parkway under Interstate 10 Transportation – WeRIDE WeRIDE has expanded service hours to 6AM-8PM Monday through Friday for $2 per trip. The WeRIDE-Micro app is available on Apple and Android platforms.

Civic Square at GSQ Construction on retail and restaurant buildings adjacent to Goodyear Civic Square are underway with many expecting to be open in late 2024. Highly desired restaurants like The Stillery, High Tide Seafood & Grill, Copper & Sage, Over Easy, Bacchus Wine Bar, The Yard Milkshake Bar, and Shake Shack have already committed to the project and a second 535-space parking garage under construction will help attract more signature retail the community desires.

GEN1 at GSQ Globe Corporation completed this 103,629-square-foot Class A office building in July 2022. Globe Corporation has eight companies who have signed leases with three others in negotiations, eagerly awaiting this type of upscale office product in the West Valley. These best-in-class businesses will bring high-quality office jobs to Goodyear improving upon the city’s daytime population.

PARKS & REC update Civic Square Park Since opening in July 2022, Civic Square Park has continued to thrive as a vibrant hub for community engagement, hosting an array of enriching and entertaining events tailored to residents’ interests and major holidays.
