“Join us now and stand
up for a fair deal for Guyana, a fair deal for …as Int'l activists start global campaign the planet” ahead of Liza 1 Permit renewal THE HOUR OF $$ DECISION IS NIGH! The Liza-1 Permit expires next Tuesday, May 31st. The clock is ticking away. Our national leaders, President Irfaan Ali and Opposition Leader Aubrey Norton, should by now be aware of what will be beneficial for Guyanese. Guyanese want a greater share of revenues from Liza-1. OR NO RENEWAL. Guyanese must get more from Liza-1, OR NO MOVEMENT ON RENEWAL. President Ali, and Mr. Norton
must fully support this. They should use the application for the renewal of the Liza-1 permit to reclaim some of our oil birthright which has been stolen by Exxon. The international experts have outlined, in the sharpest, clearest terms, how Guyana has been shortchanged financially and environmentally. They have also urged our leaders to USE THE LIZA-PERMIT RENEWAL AS A GAME CHANGER, SO THAT G U YA N A R I G H T F U L LY
BENEFITS. This opportunity must not be spurned. Exxon has played hardball with Guyana for its own benefit. It is now Guyana’s turn to be tough and determined and to capitalise on this golden opportunity. President Ali and Opposition leader Norton must demonstrate their patriotism. They must strike while the iron is hot. Fortune favours the brave. This must be their finest hour.
