A) All visitors to premises being used by the Show accept that the Show, its Officers, employees or servants shall have taken all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of such visitors while in or upon the premises, or while entering or leaving the same.
B) All visitors to premises being used by the Show shall at all times exercise all reasonable care while in or upon the premises, or while entering or leaving the same.
C) It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that children under the age of 16 shall be supervised by a responsible adult who shall be responsible for ensuring their safety and welfare at all times while in or upon the premises, or while entering or leaving the same.
D) Neither the Show, its Officers, employees or servants shall be responsible to any person whatsoever while in or upon any property or premises being used by the Show, or while entering or leaving the same for any damage or loss howsoever caused to the property of any such person or for any injury, fatal or otherwise to any such person.
E) Exhibitors, the Public and all Stock handlers and Employees or servants shall be responsible for anything that may happen from any cause or circumstances whatsoever to exhibitors, their employees servants or any person visiting or attending a Show or through or to any animal or article exhibited at a Show and it shall be considered a condition of entry or admission to the Show Ground that each person shall hold the Show harmless, and that they shall indemnify the Show against any legal proceedings arising from any such case or circumstances.

COME BYE - PIG RACING
Two 30 minute races
Move over, Aintree — Come Bye brings the sport of pig racing to Heathfield, and it’s every bit as wonderfully ridiculous as it sounds! These surprisingly speedy little competitors dash around the track with astonishing enthusiasm, leaving spectators in fits of laughter and on the edge of their seats all at once. Featuring expert commentary, crowd participation and piggy personalities galore, this is guaranteed fun for every generation. Back a pig, and let the squealing begin!
COME BYE - SHEEP DOG DISPLAY WITH PYGMY GOATS
Two 30 minute displays
In their displays Come Bye explain the old art of one man and his dog. From the start where it all began and how man was able to take this animal and use its own natural instincts to train it to become the shepherd’s most important tool and best friend. The demonstration is with different levels of trained dogs and for our Show Come Bye will be using Pygmy Goats instead of sheep.

Downland Beagles, Kent Hounds, East Sussex & Romney Marsh, Crawley & Horsham will all be taking part in this parade spectacle and Coakham Bloodhounds will be offering visitors the opportunity to meet and greet the hounds – a lovely experience for all.

Saddle up for one of the most electrifying competitions on the showground! Teams from local Hunts go head-to-head against the clock in this fast, furious and fiercely contested relay. Four riders per team must navigate a demanding course of jumps and tasks — knock a pole or fluff a challenge and precious seconds are lost. This is team spirit, riding skill and sheer competitive fire all rolled into one unmissable spectacle — grab your spot at the ringside early!

Vintage machines at their best - Visitors can see a varied selection of machinery ranging from tractors to steam, most of which has been magnificently restored. This years’ featured machine is the Field Marshal tractor, icons of British agricultural heritage. Introduced in 1945, these powerful single-cylinder diesel workhorses conquered heavy soils and long hours with ease. Their most dramatic feature? Starting the engine with a blank shotgun cartridge. That unforgettable, rhythmic chug still draws crowds today.

Heffle WI
INSPRING WOMEN & PROUD TO BE CUCKOO!
Heffle WI are pleased to be asked again to represent the WI at Heathfield Show for 2026.
We are really excited to showcase Heffle and our aim is to highlight the WI in Heathfield and nationally, with its fun and camaraderie.
Our theme is the WI national campaign bystanders can be lifesavers. We will have demonstrations of CPR and a training Automatic Defibrillator on the stall, and we can explain how it works.
The WI stand will be decorated with our peace roses that we made for the Christmas tree festival at the Union Church, Heathfield where we won our category. There will also be lots of literature to promote our local WI and also the WI nationally. We will have our well-loved tombola in action and other games, so come along and have a go or have a chat with one of the team.

LAKEDOWN BREWING CO
Set in the rolling hills of East Sussex, Lakedown is set on Actor and Rock Legend, Roger Daltrey’s family farm, home to a brewery, trout fishing lakes, and the inspiration for the business. Very much a family affair, Lakedown is run by Roger’s son Jamie and son-in-laws Des and Chris. From day one, it was their vision to make excellent versions of beer styles that they love to drink and to do so without compromise. All Lakedown beers start with Spring Water that is sourced from the farm and then they add only the finest malt, yeast, hops and of course, time. As a rule, their beers are easy drinking, sessionable, super fresh and mostly vegan and gluten free.

– The Field Marshall tractor
Field Marshall tractors are among the most iconic machines ever to grace British farmland, representing a golden age of agricultural engineering. Introduced in 1945, the Field Marshall was designed to cope with the demanding conditions of post-war agriculture, and it quickly earned a reputation as a reliable workhorse that could handle heavy soils and long hours with ease.
Perhaps the most memorable feature of a Field Marshall tractor is its single-cylinder diesel engine, which can be started using a handle, or something more dramatic, the skilful use of a blank shotgun cartridge. This distinctive starting method, combined with the slow, powerful “chug” of the engine once running, makes the Field Marshall instantly recognisable and endlessly fascinating to enthusiasts and the public alike.
Today, lovingly restored and carefully maintained, Field Marshall tractors are prized not only for their historical importance but also for the dedication and craftsmanship of their owners. They stand as proud reminders of Britain’s agricultural heritage and continue to draw crowds wherever they appear.
See the parade of these incredible Field Marshall machines at the Country Ways ring at 12:30 followed by a full vintage tractor parade at 13:00. The parade of vintage tractors and steam will continue in the Main Ring at 15:15.

Judge: Anne Lambert Judging to commence at 3.00pm.
Depending on entrant numbers in the 11 – 16-yearold class. Entrants may be split between those with an Agricultural College/Young Farmers’ background and those without. Open to Young Handlers, 16 years of age or under, showing sheep already entered in previous classes including lambs from Prime Lamb classes. Judging will be on the ability of the handler to present to the Judge. The age of the handler is to be shown on the entry form. Sheep may be MV Accredited or NonScheme. Entries may be taken on the day of the Show if room. Entry Fee: FREE Prizes: £6, £5, £4. Rosettes for all entrants.
