Class
331: RAM, Shearling and upwards.
332: RAM LAMB.
333: EWE, two years old or over. To have reared a lamb in year of show 334: EWE. Shearling
335: EWE LAMB.
INTER-BREED SHEEP CHAMPIONSHIP
Rosettes will be awarded to Champion and Reserve Champion animals. The Group Champion will go forward to the Rare & Minority Inter-Breed Championship. Reserve Breed Champion to stand by.
INTER-BREED SHEEP PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP
Open to a pair of animals of opposite sex in each breed, to be selected by the respective section judge. In the Any Other Breed sections, the pair selected must be of the same breed. Judging to take place after the Individual Interbreed.
CROSS-BREEDS & BUTCHER’S LAMBS CROSS-BREED EWES
Open to exhibits not eligible for pure-bred classes. To be judged as suitable for use in a breeding flock. Pens 6ft x 6ft. Animals to be judged in pens. EXHIBITORS SHOULD BE OWNERS OF ANIMALS AT TIME OF ENTRY. NB: ONLY NON MV-ACCREDITED STOCK MAY BE SHOWN IN THIS SECTION JUDGE: MR J KING, MICKLETON
Class
339: Pen of THREE EWES, born in 2020 or before. To have reared lambs in year of show 340: Pen of THREE SHEARLING EWES, born in 2021. 341: Pen of THREE EWE LAMBS, born in 2022. Classes may be amalgamated if there are insufficient entries, at the discretion of the Chief Sheep Steward. Rosettes will be awarded to Champion and Reserve Champion animals. THE ROBERT MITCHELL CHALLENGE CUP, presented by the late R T MITCHELL, will be awarded for the BEST PEN OF FEMALES in the Cross-Breed classes likely to replenish a commercial breeding flock. THE J & S A WOOD CHALLENGE TROPHY will be awarded to the exhibitor of the Best Ewes in Class 339.
THE JANET HARVEY MEMORIAL CUP will be awarded to the exhibitor of the Best Pen of Ewes Lambs in Class 341.
