LIFESTYLE OF A P31:17 GET FIT WOMAN Getting Fit is an annual goal for many people. Their stories are many, their truths are sometimes denied or hidden deeply, which can hinder the progress for their personal victory if not dealt with in truth. This is what I found in pushing through the repetition of the same losses, gains, and losses until the loss was not easily obtained. This is where the rubble meets the road. And the cries reach the throne of grace...

Become is a Christian Lifestyle magazine dealing with the whole woman we focus on our need for strong spirit-filled men. In this issue we hear from them while we usher in a fitness focus of being the whole woman God created us to be spirit, soul and body.

...Getting fit and staying fit is the goal, it's called a lifestyle,therefore; the rules had to change. Personally, I made a decision. God needed to be involed in this part of my life.

I needed His plan not a pill or a drink but a plan, mines. What I discovered from my heartfelt cry to God was His answer. It came in the package of a genuine person that loves seeing people reach their fitness goals. She puts in the work with you if you are willing to commit yourself to the results you desire. That person is Nancy Brown Wheeler, zumba/p31:17 get-fit instructor. We talk and all road blocks came down.

Together we started of the p31:17 get-fit group with friends, as Nancy established a Vital Class which walks out the meaning of the p31:17 woman (showing readiness to every good work and with cheerfulness, spirit, and resolution. She set a resolution serving others beyond measure.

Together we are writing our own story of the Lifestyle of a P31:17 Get Fit Woman.

As you read the bible you will find that it reveals your place within God's plan and answer all the crucial questions pertaining to our origin, purpose, and destiny.

Godly Fatherhood Fatherhood was one of the first jobs God gave men. Immediately after creating Adam and Eve, God commanded them to “be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:28). One of His primary purposes for marriage was offspring who would fill the earth with God’s praise and glory. However, providing sperm for conception is merely the beginning of God’s expectation for fathers. Sperm can make a child, but it takes a real man to be a father.

Some men who want to be good fathers have little understanding of what godly fatherhood looks like, so this article will explore some characteristics of a godly father 1. A godly father knows God. It should go without stating, but many men want their children to have a relationship with God but do not have such a relationship with God themselves. They let their wives take the kids to church, trust the preacher to instill godly values, and assume they are being what they need to be because they provide exposure to godliness. But children model what they see. If Dad does not consider obedience to God important, why should they? If Dad doesn’t lead the family spiritually, it must not be a priority. So godly fatherhood begins within the heart of a man. He considers his own relationship with God the most important one in his life and models that godliness for his children. .

2. A godly father loves and honors his wife. It has been said that the best gift a father can give his children is to love their mother. When children grow up watching healthy, loving interactions between their parents, they naturally seek to imitate that in their own marriages. Sadly, children often do not see their fathers and mothers loving each other.

Even if a man is divorced or single, he can still model respectful behavior toward his child’s mother; if he is remarried, he can demonstrate a loving relationship with his current wife (Ephesians 5:25, 28).

3. A godly father accepts responsibility for his children’s spiritual training. Too often, the children’s training is left to the mother while the father considers a paycheck his contribution to the family. While providing financially for a family is an important responsibility for fathers (1 Timothy 5:8), it is not their only responsibility. While he may delegate much of the day-to-day teaching to his wife, a godly father still bears responsibility. For example, he should pray with his children and talk with them about what the Bible teaches. He encourages Christian character in his children by his example as well as his words of instruction and the expectations of behavior he sets forth for and enforces with his children.

4. A godly father is continually aware of his influence. “Do what I say, not what I do” has been the unfortunate attitude of many fathers. Little eyes observe and learn from watching Dad’s behavior, regardless of what he says he believes. Sons, in particular, need male role models to show them how to become men. Dads may not realize it, but everything they do is influencing their children. Words alone are not enough. Consider what a child might learn from these fatherly instructions: • “Church is important, so you guys go, but I’m staying home to watch football.” • “Don’t you lie to me, but tell that person on the phone that I’m not here.”

• “I just cussed out our neighbor, but if I hear you guys saying those words, you’re gonna get it.” • “Stay away from drugs and alcohol. Now bring me a beer and my cigarettes.”

5. A godly father models selfless service. Much of Jesus’ earthly life was given to serving others. As followers of Jesus, we are to imitate that service (Matthew 20:28). Godly fathers figure out ways to involve their little ones in that service. “Let’s go over and mow Mrs. Jones’ yard. Her husband had surgery, and she’s got a new baby.” When children grow up watching Dad quietly serve the Lord without the expectation of reward, they internalize those values.

6. A godly father is consistent. Nothing confuses children more than inconsistency, either in discipline or example. A father who is angry one minute and loving the next creates insecurity in his children. Dads need to be careful that they don’t take out their frustrations on their children and later excuse their behavior by saying, “I was just upset.” Godly fathers channel their anger where it needs to go, they practice forgiveness, and they never allow anger to create confusion in their children. If Dad says he is going to do something, he’d better do it. Children need to know what to expect from their fathers.

7. A godly father disciplines his children appropriately. Discipline is part of child-rearing and should not be ignored or solely delegated to the wife. Hebrews 12:9–10 reminds us that earthly fathers disciplined us for our own good and our heavenly Father does the same. Wise discipline helps children learn to control themselves and keeps them out of serious trouble (Proverbs 13:24; 18:19). Correct discipline is not abusive, vengeful, or sporadic. A child should know where the boundary lines are, and he should also know with absolute certainty what happens when he crosses those lines.

8. A godly father does not allow himself to be controlled by outside influences.

Addictions, such as alcohol, drugs, or pornography, often create a home environment marked by insecurity, fear, and depression. Fathers who display addictive behaviors often teach their children to do the same. Godly fathers are controlled only by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Children tend to adopt whatever gods their parents consistently worshiped; thus, alcohol and drug abuse is passed from generation to generation (see Exodus 20:4–5). However, children who watch their fathers run to Jesus with their problems can learn to imitate that healthy behavior.

9. A godly father is a man under authority. Due to his sinful nature, a man will fight to be his own boss. In many cultures, it is considered admirable to “answer to no one.”

However, Jesus demonstrated that He was a Man under the authority of His heavenly Father (John 5:19; 12:49). He readily gave credit to God for His successes and submitted Himself fully to the will of God (John 8:29). A godly father will live as a man under God’s authority and that of God-given earthly institutions, such as employment, church, and government (1 Peter 2:18; Romans 13:1–2; Hebrews 13:17).

10. A godly father will lead. The world is in desperate need of men who will lead wisely.

Leadership is not domination or control. A leader is one who goes first. He sets the pace for the family by practicing what he preaches. He is on the lookout for dangers and takes initiative to protect his family from them. He meets first with God so that, when he presents a plan to his family, they have confidence that he is following the direction of the Holy Spirit. He leads them to a healthy, Bible-teaching church. He leads them in personal devotions. He leads them away from worldliness. He leads his wife as her confidant and champion. He leads his children to come to know Christ. He leads in his community through charitable service and wise counsel. He leads at church by serving according to his gifts. And he leads other men to follow his example. He is a man that his children can be proud of (Proverbs 17:6).

Regardless of a man’s past or his own parentage, he has the potential to be a godly father. The qualifications for an elder or deacon found in 1 Timothy 3:1–12 are a good standard for all of us. A father who adheres to those guidelines will do well. If he seeks the Lord with all his heart (Proverbs 3:5–6), strives to keep his priorities straight, and lets love and humility define him, any Christian father can become a man that his children are honored to call “Dad.”

TESTIMONY OF A STRONG WOMAN

I write today as a testimony and a word of caution to those that may find themselves in a similar situation. If you're in a struggle right now, do everything you can to "Keep Your Home"!

My near homeless journey began in the year 2008, I made some unwise decisions in my finances and I relinquished my 1st home to the bank. This action catapulted me into years of moving around from place to place. I sat down one day and took an inventory of my life and I prayed and asked God if there is any way I could be blessed with another home, show me the effective open door.

I was working at Duke Health and I began to attend Duke's Homeownership Program. This program educated me concerning finances, budgeting, savings, and how to stay n a home. I was referred to Habitat for Humanity of Durham and entered their program in April 2019. Habitat had sweat equity requirements for a single person of 250 volunteer hours, where I physically went out and learned to frame, use a power saw to cut wood, painting, landscaping, etc., etc. I participated every Saturday in the heat and the cold, but I learned a lot about home maintenance.

In December 2019 I was fired from my job, covid hit and I felt that my chances for homeownership were over. In July 2020 I started a new job and I was informed of a new homesite shortly thereafter. I completed my volunteer hours, went and chose my interior colors, and my new home is being built with an expected move-in date of June 2020.

Its been a long journey, but the word of God states in Joel 2:25-32: So God will restore to you, to me the years that the locust has eaten.....whatever you're believing God for just no "All things are possible with God(Matt 19:26) and in his timing.

Spiritual Fathers Spiritual Fathers, Is that a phrase in the Bible? No, however, many scriptures refer to our spiritual leaders that are called to serve in the roles of Pastors, Apostles, Teachers, and maybe other titles that implicate the role of Spiritual Fatherhood.

When a man of God takes on the title of a Spiritual Father he is accepting a role that first requires a committed relationship with God as his Father and the Lord of his life. He is also saying he is devoted to the lifestyle of a follower of Jesus Christ. He trusts the word of God and allows it to govern his life. It's a lifestyle of decisions without compromise. and a ready state of mind to repent in shortcomings.

As Jesus did, this sets the example that others can follow, so should one in Body of Christ and one considered a Spiritual Father When we have Spiritual Fatherhood in the church it means that spiritual leaders are taking their roles seriously and overseeing their churches with the heart of Abba Father, shepherding after God's own heart.

Spiritual Fathers don't have anything to do with being the natural father, however, a natural father can be in both roles. In fact, a natural father should be the first spiritual father in a child's life.

I personally believe that anyone bearing the title spiritual father or spiritual children earns this honor through a relationship to God and one another.

a genuine relationship of the church and with one another in communication and obedience of the word of God in turn allowing your leadership to watch for your soul with respect and honor. That respect goes both ways. This also happens by allowing the Holy Spirit to provide you the guidance.

I have seen honorable men and those who have dishonored their role, I pray for them both.

Whether Spiritual Fathers is specifically phrase this way scripturally or not, I can respect the honorable men that have taken their roles as leaders in fatherhood, in the same way, Paul exemplifies with Timothy and how Timothy followed his example by leading of Holy Spirit in his life. Paul taught doctrine as well as being an example of Christian living, giving him first-hand experiences through travel on missions.

2 Timothy 1:13 Acts 16:1-3; 2Corithians 1:19 Timothy follows the example of taking on leadership, disciplining other believers in a spiritual father relationship.

Read: 1 Thessalonians 3:2; 1Timothy 4:11-16 What training grounds! Although we are acknowledging our male leadership in this season, women are not excluded from their spiritual leadership roles. Paul mentions that to Titus as he discussed how older women should teach younger women in the faith.

Remember: None of these titles are honorable unless they are handled with respect for one another and for God. Also remember, Man is not above our Heavenly Father but rather serving Him in trustworthy stewardship of honor. *

Women Need Strong Godly Men As we approach the upcoming month of June, there is a designated time and day to celebrate Father’s Day. Father’s Day is to celebrate that male figure that is either your natural father or has been a fatherly image in your life.

The bible declares that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.

Men have stepped back and taken the back seat. They have backed out of their responsibilities to provide for the family, therefore leaving the woman to become the head of the house. This is not the order in which God has set in motion.

Women need strongmen of God that are men of integrity, character, and accountability. Strongmen of God look to Jesus as the ultimate example of what a true strongman should resemble.

In the era that we are living in, the male voice has become almost obsolete in the household. Men, it is time to gird up, stand up, and take your authority on this earth, as the strongman God has planned and purposed for you to be.

Women look for strongmen of God that have boldness and confidence in themselves that only comes from the Lord.

Women need strongmen of God that is not afraid to take off the limits because they know who they are and whom they serve. These strongmen of God know His voice. They look for a strongman to take control of any circumstance that may come their way, yet not controlling her, but loving her even as his own body.

God is all about order. The word tells us that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of every woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God. God put men on this earth to rule over the works of His hand and have given him dominion over this earth.

Women need strong men of God! Strong Father’s to be that authoritative figure in the home. Strongmen that will allow God’s word to become a final authority over their household. Women need Strongmen that will not be intimidated by the female if her salary outweighs his. Women look for godly men to be God-led and not flesh-led.

Women need Strongmen that are compassionate towards them. The word of God says in ( I Peter 3:7), Likewise, husband live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel since they are heirs with you of the grace of life so that your prayers be not hindered.

With the woman being the weaker vessel, they look for a godly man to be a good provider in the household. They look for a strongman that will not throw in the towel when things get tough. They need strongmen that are strong like a fortified city, no matter came at them, he will not be impervious to any attack of the enemy. He will not be moved.

When we think about strongmen, our mind immediately thinks about the strength of the man.

The word tells us that bodily exercise profit little, but godliness is profitable to all things having the promise life now is and that which is to come. Women in natural appeal to men that have muscles because the muscles represent the bodily strength of the man. More importantly, the strongman that is built up in the word of God, supersedes that natural strength of a natural man. This is the kind of strength that a godly woman should desire. His strength comes from the Lord.

Godliness prepares the male to become everything God has created him to be, therefore taking their rightful positions as a father, husband, or son. Once they find their identity, it is only then he becomes a true Strongman.

The reason why we need strong godly single men that knows their identity in Christ is that one day they will become strong Godly husbands and then strong Godly Fathers, therefore taking their rightful position in the family and in the Kingdom of God. This is God’s decree will for his life.

Dance Dance and music are universal. They are loved among many people.

I love both dance and music in their purpose and the celebration of God in worship. Sometimes I think about the benefits of movement to the mobility we need as we grow and begin to have a serious opinion that its the traditions of man and (for me) the carefulness we righteously adopted in the infancy of our Christian walk that may have caused many of us to lose the freedom of our love to dance. Dance was used throughout the Old Testament in praise and worshipping God, however; dance was also used in the worship of idols and anti-godly manner just as it is today. Music and dance are beautiful but you must be careful of whose music and whose dance you are moving to. Study music from the bible perspective and dance.

We must always be alert to ensure we aren't giving the enemy access to corrupt our character/testimony in these areas.

We sometimes resolve to fear and let our freedom of holy rejoicing glorify Him and with a dance to be taken from us. All things God created for good but can be miss used. Just remember His motions will never take you out of His Character. His sound is always glorifying and promoting His good. Also remember, your heart sees in God that rules it.

I dance to declare my victory, because "I am not afraid to dance" as written in a poem in the book, Creation's Path a Poetic Journey of Faith.

The Lord was pleased with dancing that worshipped Him. People have questions about the Christian lifestyle, it means everything. People also reject it because they fear what they have to give up. When God gave us so much. Some things are used to steal kill and destroy because it has been turned into corrupted fruit, while the church needs to teach truth and not compromise for their own fleshly desires, which mislead others.

What kind of music do I listen to?

What kind of music can I listen to when it involves just chilling with my spouse?

What kind of music do I exercise to?

Are any of these places a place to invite worldly secular music? write us and let us know Everyone has an option but God has a standard.
