Kumihimo Square Braid

In this class, students will learn the kumihimo square braid and create a bracelet from leather cords. Knowledge of basic kumihimo braiding will be helpful, but not required. SUPPLIES: Bring a Kumihimo disc, center weight, and 8 bobbins. Supplies available to purchase from the instructor for $25, otherwise bring your own. Needle Felting

Needle Felting is the art of crafting objects out of un-spun wool using a repeated jabbing action with a barbed felting needle. These needles are very sharp and pointed, so handeye coordination is necessary. Using a variety of colored wool fiber, participants will create a 3-D object. You may decide to do an animal, bird, cactus, fruit or vegetable, etc. The possibilities are endless.
