Holidays at GVR
f you’re like most people, you will celebrate a holiday this month, marking the occasion with gifts for friends and family. Are you tired of gift cards and socks (although, new socks are pretty great) and looking for new ideas? You’re in luck! GVR offers outstanding club facilities where artists and craftsfolk produce first-rate work that members and guests are welcome to buy.
At East Center, West Center, and Desert Hills, shop for jewelry and other accessories at the Lapidary and Silversmithing studios. In lobbies across the campus, look for exhibits by the Camera Club and various artists who have hung framed, wrap-ready paintings and photographs to suit any décor.
At Santa Rita Springs, the Clay Studio members offer hand-built objects both practical and beautiful.

DIRECTOR NEEDED! The GVR Foundation (GVRF) seeks applications from individuals interested in serving as a Director on the GVRF Board for a term of three years. The GVRF Board is composed of nine directors who are focused on our mission to “Enrich the lives of GVR members and community residents through programs, advocacy and financial support that promote health and wellness in Green Valley, Arizona.” The GVRF is particularly interested in applicants who have experience in one or more of these areas:

The 2021/2022 Winter Course Catalog is now in centers and online. While some gaps in the program remain, GVR is thrilled to offer 42 pages of courses and tours as our community recovers from the pandemic.
This winter, members can once again take trips with Pleasurebent Tours. Enjoy nature spectacles, theatre, sports, and Arizona’s wild and scenic beauty on one of eight trips offered this season. Under the heading of Special Interest, members will find a dozen new courses to try. New arrivals to Green Valley should check out the thirteen courses offered by naturalist Jeff Babson, for an entertaining and insightful introduction to Southern Arizona’s critters. Stay fit and flexible with one of the 51 classes in dance, sports, fitness, and yoga. If you’re still working full time and need weekend or evening options, there are 25 classes and tours to choose from this quarter. Register now to save your seat.
