This Sunday with the bible

Every Sunday we have three short passages from the bible to reflect on. There's usually one from the Old Testament - the Jewish bible as well as Christian; one from the life of the early church after Jesus; and one from the gospel stories of Jesus' life. Have a read Here Now we are in the run up to the Advent season and the emphasis is on preparing ourselves for what is to come in our lives, at the end of our lives and in the world – whatever those things may be. The key is in the Old Testament

“Take away from me the noise of your songs;

I will not listen to the melody of your harps. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” It’s all about getting our focus right on the things that really matter in the long run
