his edition will give you coverage on future events along with updates on Consular matters, and a new feature on Guyanese who celebrated their Centenary milestones in 2017. In the New Year 2018 we will continue to transform the Consulate. Our newsletter is specifically designed to provide members of our Diaspora with relevant information on the roles and functions of the Consulate as well as information on its activities in the community. The Consulate endeavors to continue serving the Guyanese Diaspora in a professional manner through the implementation of new systems. The institution of specific days for walkin applicants, mail-in system for birth
certificate and passport applications as well as opening to the public on specified Saturdays. The Diaspora, adjusting to these developments will experience the benefits of the services that will be provided. Beyond the office, the Consulate has been active in areas relating to the Guyanese community and the Caribbean at large through attendance at cultural events and meetings. We appreciate your feedback and comments to aid improvement.
