Connected to home and culture Kako Village youth revels in the beauty and lifestyle of where he came from
TWENTY-SEVEN-YEAR-old Romario Hastings is originally from Kako Village, a small Akawaio community on the left bank of a river bearing the same name. Though he is currently an environmental officer with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Georgetown, Romario admits that nothing beats being back in his village where he can enjoy the food, the culture and the rich outdoors (Photo courtesy of Romario Hastings)
