First Lady, Mrs. Sandra Granger, on behalf of President David Granger on Wednesday commissioned a $64.5 million water supply system in Paramakatoi, Potaro-Siparuni (Region Eight), which is expected to bring much-needed relief to approximately 1200 residents. The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) and the Paramakatoi Village Council signed an agreement in 2017 to source potable water, after residents identified two springs near the Paramakatoi Mountain, as a possible solution to their water woes.
