Many Waters
The M.V. Malali ferry traversing the mighty Essequibo River. The vessel plies the Parika/Wakenaam route and is used by hundreds of Guyanese daily to get to and from the island. Ferry travel is quite common in Guyana and, apart from its affordability for passengers, it is the- only means by which large vehicles can be transported to certain locations. (Carl Croker photo)
