Mechanic fatally stabbed in feud with fiancée's uncle suspect arrested

Shivram Mohabir, called “Vickash”, 23, a mechanic of Lot 40 Triumph Side Line Dam, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was killed Monday evening by his fiancée's uncle after a feud between the two resulted in Mohabir being stabbed in the chest.

Police confirmed that the stabbing occurred at about 19:00 hours on Monday at a house located at 5th Street, Martyr's Ville, ECD. The 49-year-old suspect is presently in custody.

Enquiries disclosed that Mohabir and the suspect had an ongoing problem, and Mohabir's fiancée, a 22-yearold from 5th Street Martyr's Ville, ECD, is the suspect's niece.
