Six-month maternity leave soon Guyana’s Ambassador to the United States, Dr Riyad Insanally on Friday last presented his Letters of credence to President Barack Obama at the White House. In this White House photo, Ambassador Insanally and the US President posed for a photograph following the ceremony. Ambassador Insanally, who was appointed by President Granger earlier this year, has been on the job since September 1, the day he presented his credentials to the Deputy Chief of Protocol at the US State Department. He succeeds Ambassador Bayney Karran, who has been posted to China.
