PRÓLOGO Por Eduardo Jáudenes de Salazar (CEO de ARTEDEI y crítico de arte)

Este libro que tienen en sus manos y que lleva por título “EL GRAN ANUARIO INTERNACIONAL DE ARTE CONTERMPORÁNEO 2021: Edición Madrid. Antología”, constituye una imprescindible herramienta de trabajo, para los amantes del arte.

Este anuario contiene la obra de 52 artistas de 22 países de todo el mundo.

Los textos, como no puede ser de otra manera para su adecuada difusión hoy en día, se encuentran en español y en inglés.

Será enviado en versión digital a varios países alrededor del planeta.

El libro recoge un amplio muestrario de temáticas, habilidades y las técnicas de los artistas que aquí aparecen son muy diversas, fotógrafos, collage, pintura, escultura, tanto la abstracción, como lo figurativo.

El criterio de selección ha sido la calidad de las obras de arte y su fin el ayudar a los artistas en sus carreras No solo para los amantes del arte es importante este libro, también para dar a conocer a los artistas, cosa imprescindible para abrirse camino en el mundo del arte. Lo que no se conoce no existe.

En su obra el artista objetiviza su espíritu. Para llegar a comprender la obra hay que conocer al artista.

This yearbook contains the work of 52 artists from 22 countries around the world.

The texts, as it cannot be otherwise for their adequate diffusion today, are in Spanish and English.

It will be sent in a digital version to several countries around the globe.

The book includes a wide range of themes, skills, and techniques of the artists that appear here: very diverse, photographers, collage, painting, sculpture, abstraction, and figurative.

The selection criteria have been the quality of the works of art, and it aims to help the artists in their careers.

Not only for art lovers is this book important, but also for making artists known, an essential thing to make their way in the art world. What is not known does not exist.

ESPAÑOL Ernesto es un artista urbano y fotoperiodista especializado en el collage analógico. Su obra presenta una simbología pop llena de ironía y una estética barroca con grandes contrastes de color. Cuenta con un vasto currículum con exposiciones individuales en galerías de diversas ciudades en Inglaterra, México, España, Estados Unidos e Italia.

Su obra se encuentra en colecciones alrededor de los cinco continentes, es el autor del cartel oficial de la segunda temporada de la serie “Narcos México”, de la cadena Netflix y fue seleccionado para exponer en Photo España.

“Soy un artista mexicano radicado en Madrid. En mi juventud me desarrollé como fotoperiodista en una de las ciudades más caóticas y pobladas del mundo, La ciudad de México, ahí aprendí el famoso “instante decisivo” que menciona Cartier Bresson, donde un segundo, una buena o mala decisión, son la diferencia entre una buena o mala imagen. Durante un periodo de crisis tanto personal como de trabajo, decidí dejar la fotografía, y tomando lo primero que tenía a la mano, un par de tijeras, pegamento y muchas revistas, recorte a recorte empezaron a formar historias, a veces de forma brutal, y a veces como un silencio, una especie de terapia psicológica que me ayudo a centrar mis ideas.

Lo que más me gusta del collage, además de la belleza del encuentro al azar, es la unión de tiempos, papeles de diferentes épocas se unen para un nuevo lenguaje atemporal. Papeles de distintas épocas, se encuentran, deshaciéndose de su significado anterior y encontrando nuevos, volviéndose actuales.

Mi estilo ha sido considerado como collage Pop barroco, porque mis collages están formados por cientos de papeles, todos uniéndose entre sí, todos contando sus historias, realizadas con tanto detalle que el observador, a cada mirada puede encontrar algo nuevo que no se había percatado anteriormente. Además mi estilo conserva los colores y sabores de mi país.

El corazón es regularmente la pieza central de mi trabajo, esos corazones, que van más allá de su carácter anatómico y se convierten en “milagros” en “Sagrados corazones” no solo de Jesús y María, sino de cualquier santo, Dios, animal o cosa que pueda buscar la divinidad. También utilizo el corazón en mis collages, porque es el primer órgano del ser humano que se forma durante la gestación, el latido es el primer sonido que engendra la vida.

Por el momento queda seguir recortando, juntar las piezas de los rompecabezas de los mundos que tengo que contar.”

Ernesto Muñiz ENGLISH Ernesto is an urban artist and photojournalist specialized in analog collage. His work presents a pop symbology full of irony and a baroque aesthetic with great color contrasts. He has a vast curriculum with solo exhibitions in several galleries in various countries such as England, Mexico, Spain, the United States, and Italy. His work can be found in collections around the five continents. He is the author of the official poster for the second season of the series “Narcos México,” from the Netflix network and was selected to exhibit at Photo España.

“I am a Mexican artist based in Madrid. In my youth, I developed as a photojournalist in one of the most chaotic and populated cities in the world, Mexico City. I learned the famous “decisive moment” mentioned by Cartier Bresson, where a second, a good or bad decision, can be the difference between a good or bad image. During a period of personal and work crisis, I decided to stop photography, and taking the first thing I had on hand, a pair of scissors, glue and many magazines. Cut by cut, they began to form stories, sometimes brutally, and sometimes as a silence, a kind of psychological therapy that helped me focus my ideas.

What I like the most about collage, in addition to the beauty of the chance encounter, is the union of times; papers from different eras come together for a new timeless language. Papers from different eras, they meet, getting rid of their previous meaning and finding new ones, becoming current.

My style has been considered as a Baroque Pop collage, because my collages are made up of hundreds of papers, all joining each other, all telling their stories, made in such detail that the observer, at each glance, can find something new that he had not noticed previously. In addition, my style preserves the colors and flavors of my country.

The heart is regularly the centerpiece of my work. Those hearts, which go beyond their anatomical character and become “miracles” in “Sacred hearts,” not only of Jesus and Mary, but of any saint, God, animal, or thing that divinity can seek. I also use the heart in my collages, because it is the first organ of the human being that forms during pregnancy, the heartbeat is the first sound that generates life.

For the moment, it remains to continue cutting, putting together the pieces of the puzzles of the worlds that I have to tell about.”

ESPAÑOL Rico Torres es un artista único, un visionario de estilo espectacular, un fotógrafo y maestro de la luz reconocido por aficionados de todo el mundo, a través de cuyo lente han pasado las más grandes estrellas. Forma parte, por derecho propio, y muy justo, del mundo del cine moderno. Cuenta con más de 20 años de carrera en el séptimo arte, principalmente en producciones «Made in Hollywood» y también en otras europeas. Todo se refleja en su trabajo, en su arte, lo divino y lo humano, que siempre sorprende a los que lo siguen y coleccionan.

Podemos observar su trabajo en grandes producciones cinematográficas como Sin City o Desperado, entre muchas otras. En su fotografía está presente un toque muy personal, contraste intenso y especial atención por el estudio de la luz y sombra.

Nació en Perú. Rico creció en diversos países como Uruguay, Paraguay, El Salvador, Ecuador, Argentina y Chile. De joven estudió cine en EE.UU., y terminó residiendo en España, donde acude a descansar.

Trabajó y colabora habitualmente con Warner Bros, Universal, Lionsgate, Dimension, 20th Century Fox, y grandes directores como Ridley Scott, Martin Campbell, Robert Rodriguez, Wes Craven, Tony Scott, Nimrod Antal, entre otros.

Por el objetivo de Torres han pasado diferentes celebridades por citar unos pocos: Bruce Willis, Lady Gaga, Mick Jagger, Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas, James Coburn, Adrien Brody, Denzel Washington o John Travolta.

Otra faceta de Torres es su trabajo en publicidad, como en caso de la nueva campaña de Nike con Kobe Bryant.

Rico Torres tiene esa mirada mítica, ese talento por el que siempre le estaremos agradecidos los fans del mundo del cine y la fotografía, y del mundo del arte en general, porque conoce y comparte, como diría Bogart: «la materia de la que están hechos los sueños».

ENGLISH Rico Torres is a unique artist, a visionary of spectacular style, a photographer and master of light recognized by fans all over the world, through whose lens the greatest stars have passed, and who is already part, in his own right, and very fair, from the world of modern cinema. ESPAÑOL José Bayro C. es un artista de talla mundial. Es licenciado en Arquitectura por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Máster en Artes Visuales en la Academia de San Carlos (México) y tuvo una formación en todas las disciplinas artísticas. Así como diferentes diplomados sobre Gestión Cultural, Museografía, Arte Contemporáneo y Filosofía. Tiene exposiciones colectivas e individuales en diferentes galerías y museos de México, Bolivia, Estados Unidos, Francia, Canadá y otros países alrededor de todo el mundo. Recibió comentarios en su obra por parte de personalidades del mundo artístico y crítica internacional como Carlos Monsiváis entre muchos otros. Su obra se encuentra en colecciones públicas de todo el mundo. Cuenta con tres esculturas monumentales en Puebla, México. La más reconocida #hombreazul (5 metros de alto) es un homenaje al emigrante y está forrada en talavera policromada.

Actualmente el maestro Bayro reside y trabaja en Puebla, México, donde imparte clases y genera proyectos en a diversas partes del mundo.

Su obra es colorista y sofisticada, ya que apunta a decir cosas profundas a través de la alegría y el color. Su trabajo tiene que ver con la psicología de sus personajes. Figuras etéreas, ingrávidas, ligeras, muchas veces sensuales, parecen, no obstante, capaces de pensamiento y acción. Los tonos de su pintura se yuxtaponen sin acabar de mezclarse.

Difuminados, permanecen y palpitan, hasta que la obra atrae nuestras pupilas. Hay épocas en que predomina un color en los lienzos: amarillos, rojos, o azules.

Su arte es cinético, fragmentado, con figuras recortadas, anatomía, perspectivas superpuestas y tantos detalles que guían nuestra mirada dentro y fuera de cada cuadro. Su obra es muy completa por ser un artista multifacético. Trabaja el gran y pequeño formato. En óleos. Gráfica. Cerámicas y bronces como accesorios y joyería.

«Es importante lo que están haciendo los personajes; están a la espera de la sorpresa, de que algo les suceda. Es un diálogo entre el espectador y el cuadro, no hay una imagen directa. Son como gatillos que disparan la experiencia psicológica del espectador.

Hay un principio en mi pintura, que es la pintura colonial, los arcángeles arcabuceros. Y hay un final: Picasso. Siento que, por mi generación, yo terminé ahí.»

José Bayro C. ENGLISH José Bayro C. is a world-class artist. He has a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; a Master’s in Visual Arts from the Academia de San Carlos (Mexico) and trained in all artistic disciplines, as well as different diplomas on cultural management, museography, contemporary art, and philosophy. He has group and solo exhibitions in different galleries and museums in Mexico, Bolivia, the United States, France, Canada, and other countries around the world. He received comments on his work from personalities in the artistic world and international critics such as Carlos Monsiváis, among many others. His work is in public collections around the world.

He has three monumental sculptures in Puebla, Mexico. The most recognized is #hombreazul (The Blue Man) (5 meters high), a homage to the emigrant lined in polychrome Talavera.

Currently, Bayro lives and works in Puebla, Mexico, where he teaches classes and generates projects that go out to different parts of the world.

His work is colorful and sophisticated, since it aims to say profound things through joy and color. His work has to do with the psychology of his characters. Ethereal figures, weightless, light, and often sensual, nevertheless seem capable of thought and action. The tones of his painting are juxtaposed without finishing mixing. Blurred, they remain and throb, until the work attracts our pupils. There are times when one color predominates on canvases: yellow, red, or blue.

His art is kinetic, fragmented, with cut-out figures, anatomy, overlapping perspectives, and details that guide our gaze in and out of each painting. His work is very complete for being a multifaceted artist. Work the large and small format.

“What the characters are doing is important; they are waiting for surprise, for something to happen to them. It is a dialogue between the viewer and the painting, there is no direct image. They are like triggers that activate the viewer’s psychological experience.

ESPAÑOL Fotógrafa desde pequeña, Gema es una artista nata que finalizó con tan sólo 19 años sus estudios de Imagen y Sonido en el IORTV (Instituto de RTVE) y CICI, llegando a trabajar en televisión y productoras publicitarias.

Tiene un gran recorrido laboral y de colaboraciones con importantes campañas publicitarias, en este periodo desarrolló un amplio conocimiento que sirvió para explorar su trabajo artístico.

Así su trabajo está dominado por el retrato y el realismo fantástico, con una actual etapa de experimentación y creación de collages, en los que mezcla el collage analógico y la fotografía. Sus obras presentan contrastes y juegos de planos superpuestos, creando un surrealismo muy particular.

Gema crea su obra basándose en un sentimiento donde el proceso tiene su inicio en la cámara en sus manos, y finaliza en el espectador, y su observación y percepción de la obra. Creando un diálogo íntimo ente la esencia de la artista y el observador.

“Siempre que echo la vista atrás me encuentro con la cámara en la mano, mi relación con la fotografía ha sido desde siempre reveladora, buscando conectarnos, observando, mirando de un modo personal y que al igual que otras artes llegue de forma directa a los ojos de quien este delante de la obra y reciba el impacto que ésta encierra. En mi fotografía busco transmitir sensaciones, atrapadas a veces en un gesto, una mano, una mirada, un cuerpo desnudo... siempre atrapo emociones escondidas, que afloran cuando consiguen inspirar un sueño, una historia inventada en aquellos que se detienen a contemplarla. Gema Muñoz ENGLISH A photographer since she was little, Gema is a born artist who finished her Image and Sound studies at the IORTV (RTVE Institute) and CICI at just 19 years old, eventually working in television and advertising production companies.

Her career path, and collaborations with important advertising campaigns, developed a wide knowledge that served to explore in her artistic work.

Her artistic creation is dominated by portraiture and fantastic realism, with a current stage experimenting and creating collages, in which she mixes analog collage and photography. Her works present contrasts and games of superimposed planes, creating a very particular surrealism.

Gema creates her work based on a feeling where the process begins with the camera in her hands, and ends with the viewer, and their observation and perception of the work. Creating an intimate dialogue between the essence of the artist and the observer.

“Whenever I look back, I find the camera in my hand, my relationship with photography has always been revealing, seeking to connect, observing, looking in a personal way and that, like other arts, reaches directly to the eyes of those who, in front of the work, receive the impact that it contains. In my photography, I seek to convey sensations, sometimes caught in a gesture, a hand, a look, a naked body... I always catch hidden emotions, which emerge when they manage to inspire a dream, a story invented in those who stop to contemplate it. Do not leave indifferent; get to transmit, that the work is a vehicle that reminds us that we have a soul that feeds on sensations “Eudemonia.”

The collages that I present here are born of the need to return to the freedoms of spirit that embraced us before the pandemic; they represent how we cope with these strange times that we live in and the desire that this world return renewed, in harmony and wrapped in resurrected art.”

ESPAÑOL Pilar Sagarra es una artista española autodidacta con una vasta y galardonada trayectoria artística. En la que destaca premiaciones y exposiciones, tanto colectivas como individuales, diversos museos e instituciones son contenedores de su obra. España, México, EE.UU., Suiza, Singapur, Japón, Luxemburgo, Alemania, Corea, Catar, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Francia, Colombia, Argentina, México, Uruguay, Canadá, Holanda, Italia, y Austria son algunos de los países que han sido testigos de su obra.

“Es un misterio el por qué elijo un material u otro en el proceso creativo. Pretendo que dialoguen: tintas calcográficas, collages, pigmentos para resolver cada etapa de la obra. La intuición es mi aliada. El principal protagonista -el metacrilato- soporte rígido y deslizante, se convierte en la vertiente más subjetiva de la ejecución, estableciendo un peculiar diálogo entre la intuición y el azar, lo que provoca una tensión intelectual bajo la cual se controlan y configuran las formas. Josef Albers decía “Todo tiene forma y toda forma tiene significado”. El arte nos enfrenta a la realidad íntima, la que subyace en nuestra conciencia, la que nadie ve.

Sigo creyendo en la pintura, pintura…el impulso físico de las manos y el cuerpo, con su movimiento –afirmación física de la existencia –y – el impulso creador- que el artista, en el proceso de ejecución, transfiere a la obra. Esta, es un ser vivo, es un universo, un mundo propio, en donde las imágenes no son meros objetos. Son objetos que materializo en mi interior con su significado. Estas imágenes se suceden una y otra vez manteniendo una relación espacial y temporal.

Cuando pinto, me abstraigo en soledad y en silencio. El silencio, necesario en la consecución de mi labor artística, es el alma de donde fluye mi fuerza vital. En el silencio afloran: los colores, las mariposas, la naturaleza, formas y movimientos…su luz, la esencia, que transforma una emoción, un sentimiento en expresión.

La naturaleza y su espiritualidad están siempre presentes en mi obra: puertas y ventadas abiertas, campos y pueblos, bosques, montes, el mar y sus playas, nubes, amaneceres y crepúsculos invocan mi mirada.”

Pilar Sagarra ENGLISH Pilar Sagarra is a self-taught Spanish artist with a vast and award-winning artistic career, including awards, group and individual exhibitions, and museums and institutions as containers of her work. Spain, Mexico, USA, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, Luxembourg, Germany, Korea, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, France, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay, Canada, Holland, Italy, and Austria, are some of the countries that have witnessed her work.

“It is a mystery why I choose one material or another in the creative process. I intend for them to dialogue intaglio inks, collages, pigments... to solve each stage of the work. The main protagonist -the methacrylaterigid and sliding support, becomes the most subjective aspect of the execution, establishing a peculiar dialogue between intuition and chance, causing an intellectual tension under which the forms are controlled and configured.

Josef Albers used to say, ‘Everything has a form and every form has a meaning.’ Art confronts us with the intimate reality, the one that underlies our consciousness, the one that nobody sees.

I still believe in painting... the physical impulse of the hands and the body, with their movement - physical affirmation of existence - and the creative impulse that the artist, in the process of execution, transfers to the work. This is a living being; it is a universe, a world of its own, where images are not mere objects. They are objects that I materialize within myself with their meaning. These images follow one another over and over again maintaining a spatial and temporal relationship.

ESPAÑOL Radicada en Escocia y de origen polaco, Bolli Blas está relacionada con las artes desde su nacimiento. Así mismo dedicó años de trabajo al mundo de la economía y el análisis empresarial. En su carrera artística, Bolli cuenta con exposiciones y ferias de arte en Nueva York, Londres, Niza, Milán y Florencia Entre trazos fluidos y colores cálidos, su obra enfatiza temas como la religión, las emociones y la sociedad que nos rodea. En ella, además, destaca la presencia de ojos enormes, que miran directamente al espectador, simbolizando su apertura al verdadero rostro de la sociedad. “Mi nombre es Bolli. Desde que tengo uso de razón, he estado creando cosas. Crecí en Poznan, Polonia y me mudé al Reino Unido en 2006.

Mi arte es algo profundamente personal, algo que siento que tengo que compartir. Esta dualidad introvertida/ extrovertida, y su síntesis resultante, es el campo de batalla constante entre la mente y el alma. Cuando pinto, existo en el momento, donde mi mano y corazón están en perfecta sincronía. Mi material preferido es el óleo sobre lienzo, con frecuencia utilizando varios tipos de materiales mixtos.

Cada obra de arte debe provenir del corazón. Utilizo colores básicos y alegres, y un movimiento libre y fluido en la pintura para expresar mi visión de un mundo esencialmente injusto.

Uno de los temas de muchas de mis pinturas, es la idea de personajes con los ojos muy abiertos mirando directamente al espectador. Esto simboliza para mí, sostener un espejo a la sociedad moderna.

Otro tema dominante es la religión. La idea de Jesús como un hombre que vive en el siglo XXI, es una visión que estoy segura, se tomará como controvertida en lo más mínimo, y blasfema para algunos en extremo. Enterrar la cabeza en la arena, como un avestruz, es negar que existan ciertas subculturas y perversidades. Y en un mundo donde una verdad absoluta es cada vez más difícil de discernir a través de la difusión de “noticias falsas”, el artista debe mostrar su verdad sin las restricciones de los tabúes.”

Bolli Blas ENGLISH Based in Scotland and with polish origins, Bolli Blas has been close to the arts since her birth. As well, she has dedicated years of work in the world of business analysis and economics. In her artistic career, she has participated in exhibitions and art fairs in New York, London, Nice, Milan, and Florence.

Between fluid lines and warm colours, her work emphasizes topics such as religion, emotions, and the society that surrounds us. Additionally, the occurrence of huge eyes stands out in her work. They appear to look directly at the viewer, symbolizing their opening to the true face of society. Bolli seeks to show her truth without restrictions or taboos, being her mark in this life.

“My name is Bolli. I have been creating things as long as I can remember. I grew up in Poznan, Poland, and moved to the UK in 2006.

My art is a deeply personal thing, something I feel I have to share. This introvert/extrovert duality and its resulting synthesis is the constant battlefield between mind and soul. When I paint, I exist in the moment, where hand and heart are in perfect synchronicity. My preferred medium is oil on canvas, frequently using various types of mixed media.

Every piece of art should come from the heart. I use cheerful, basic colours and a free, fluid movement of paint to express my vision of a world that is essentially unjust.

One of the themes of many of my paintings is the idea of wide-eyed characters looking back at the viewer. This symbolises, to me, holding a mirror up to modern society.

Another dominant theme is religion. The idea of Jesus as a man living in the 21st century is a vision that I’m sure will be taken as controversial in the least and blasphemous to some in the extreme. To bury one’s head in the sand, ostrich-like, is to deny that certain subcultures and perversities exist. And in a world where an absolute truth is increasingly more difficult to discern through the spread of “fake news,” then it becomes incumbent upon the artist to show their truth unrestricted by taboos.”

Sin embargo, fue durante su estadía en el Reino Unido, cuando se vio expuesta a un mundo artístico más amplio, que resultó ser una experiencia mentalmente estimulante y reveladora para ella. Esha es una artista polifacética, cuya expresión artística y búsqueda de inspiración, realmente no conoce límites.

“Atraída por mundos caprichosos donde los límites se vuelven borrosos, encuentro inspiración en cualquier lugar y en todas partes. Podría estar escondida en un libro que estoy leyendo, una película que terminé de ver o incluso podría surgir de una conversación con un amigo; se necesita poco para sentirme inspirada.

Esha Srivastava ENGLISH Esha is a self-taught artist with a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, UK. Ever since she was a young girl, she has loved expressing herself creatively, finding art to be both exciting and cathartic.

Her eclectic artistic sensibilities have been deeply influenced by the historical and artistic magic of Jaipur and Delhi (India), cities where she grew up.

It was, however, during her time in the UK that she was exposed to a broader artistic world, which proved to be a mentally stimulating and eye-opening experience for her. Esha is a multifaceted artist, whose artistic expression and search for inspiration truly knows no bounds.

With intricate colors and patterns, Esha reveals to us an overflowing style, expressive, dynamic, and full of intense colors, beaming with universal concepts such as life, courage, and freedom.

“Drawn to whimsical worlds where boundaries become blurry, I find inspiration anywhere and everywhere. It could be hiding in a book that I am reading, a film I’ve finished watching, or could even spurt from a conversation with a friend - it takes little for me to feel inspired. Of course, translating and fine-tuning those ideas on canvas can sometimes be challenging, hence all the more enjoyable when achieved. As an ardent observer of life, I believe that ideas/stories are ubiquitous - one just needs to pay attention. Perhaps in part due to my academic background, I am particularly attracted to interpretations of inter-disciplinary concepts through a myriad of lenses - from philosophical, societal, to spiritual. It is finding that unique voice that represents my vision and state of mind that excites me the most about making art. In this regard, I am deeply enchanted by dreams, psychoanalysis/psychology, emotions, the idea of God, religion, mythology, academia, history, patterns, etc., and tend to detest restrictive boxes. Although I do not have one distinctive style yet (which gives me the freedom to experiment), colors and intricate patterns are somewhat common across most of my works. ESPAÑOL Artista diverso, Thatcher creció en el sur de California, EE. UU., donde su expresión artística se desarrolló de formas multifacéticas, adornando la ciudad con arte callejero, grafiti y obras abstractas que reflejaban su alma en colores.

Realizó cursos básicos de arte en la escuela, y su arte, más tarde, de forma autodidacta, evolucionó hasta convertirse en su obra actual. Canaliza en él su amor por la creación musical y su creencia en la vida basada en la dualidad.

Su trabajo, en su mayor parte, muestra la presencia del concepto de dualidad, del ying y el yang, que ha dado forma a su vida.

Thatcher espera lograr un sentimiento especial en los espectadores de su trabajo artístico.

“Desde que crecí como una rata patinadora y destrocé las ciudades locales del sur de California, siempre he tenido una pasión por expresarme como individuo por cualquier medio necesario. Desde colorear patrones abstractos en la cinta de agarre de mis patinetas, hasta pintar grafitis en las zanjas de drenaje de la ciudad, siempre estuve buscando formas de retratar los patrones de mi alma en la realidad.

Si bien la única formación artística formal que tuve fueron algunas clases básicas en la escuela primaria, nunca dejé de experimentar con diferentes medios y formas de arte. Usé el movimiento enérgico del skate como la encarnación física de mi angustia infantil. Los dibujos y pinturas, sirven como una instantánea de la perspectiva y las emociones del período de tiempo actual. A la vez que la creación de la música estuvo y siempre estará ahí para expresar todos los sentimientos que es imposible expresar sólo con palabras.

Cuando era un niño, mis padres se divorciaron a los 6 años, me crié en dos entornos domésticos completamente opuestos, mi mente y mi perspectiva de la vida parecen haberse formado en torno al concepto del ying y el yang. La dualidad de todo lo que existe, se equilibra con fuerzas iguales y opuestas. Este concepto aparece en la mayoría de mi trabajo, ya sea en esquemas de colores complementarios, simbolismo nítido sobre un fondo caótico y abstracto, o presentando la naturaleza en un ambiente sintético estéril.

Espero que mi trabajo transmita y haga sentir algo.”

Thatcher Smith ENGLISH A diverse artist, Thatcher grew up in Southern California, USA, where his artistic expression developed in multifaceted ways, adorning the city with street art, graffiti, and abstracts that reflected his soul in colors.

He took basic artistic courses in school, but his art, in a self-taught way, later evolved into his current work. His art is guided by his love for musical creation and his belief in life based on duality.

For the most part, Thatcher’s work shows the presence of the concept of yin and yang, which has shaped his life.

Thatcher hopes to evoke a special feeling in the viewers of his artistic work.

“Ever since growing up as a skate rat and tearing up the local towns of Southern California, I have always had a passion for expressing myself as an individual by any means necessary. From coloring abstract patterns on my skateboard’s grip tape to painting graffiti in the drainage ditches of the city, I was always looking for ways to portray the patterns of my soul into reality.

While the only formal art training I have had were a few basic classes in grade school, I have never stopped experimenting with different mediums and forms of art. I used the energetic movement of skateboarding as the physical embodiment of my childhood angst. Drawings and paintings serve as a snapshot of the perspective and emotions of the current period, while the creation of music was and always will be there to express all the feelings in which it is impossible to do so with words.

As a child whose parents divorced when I was 6 years old and being raised in two completely opposite household environments, my mind and perspective on life seems to have been shaped around the concept of yin and yang– the duality of everything in existence being balanced out by equal and opposite forces. This concept shows up in the majority of my work, whether it be complementary color schemes, crisp symbolism over a chaotic and abstract background, or presenting nature in a sterile synthetic environment.

ESPAÑOL Afincado en Málaga, Delgado Ramírez es artista desde siempre. Ha tenido una estrecha relación con el arte desde muy temprana edad. Su obra tiene una clara influencia clásica e impresionista, por lo que especifica que su estilo es clásico/impresionista y se define por una búsqueda para captar la “esencia” en sus pinturas (desde sus personajes hasta sus paisajes).

Amante de la armonía en lo que crea, trabaja: escalas, perspectivas, texturas, profundidad, manejo del volumen, etc.

Desarrolla su obra con mucha calma y paciencia, logrando captar el ánimo de sus personajes, vívidas impresiones y atmósferas especiales obtenidas de su colorida paleta.

“Soy amante del arte en general y de la pintura en particular: Un lienzo y un pincel me robaron el corazón. Siendo un niño me enamoré de una de las expresiones más antiguas y apasionantes: “La Pintura Artística”. Realizo mis obras desde el corazón, sin pensar en cosas que las dificulten, para mí pintar no ha de ser complicado.

En este mi segundo anuario 2021 presento dos obras, muy peculiares, con un mismo formato y distintas entre sí, la primera: “Interpretación de la Bailarina de S. Evalenteu”, firmada en 2016. El magnífico fotógrafo ruso S. Evalenteu, con su fotografía inspiró mi pintura. Deseo mostrarla en este anuario porque a todos los eventos que se expuso llegó interiormente a las personas, por lo que siento que hay que seguir publicándola. La segunda obra es: “Río Alzette a su paso por el barrio de Grund, Luxemburgo”, firmada en 2020, es posible que sea la primera vez que la muestre al público, se realizó con la intención de exponerla en la Feria Internacional de Arte de Luxemburgo, dic/2019, (pero no hubo tiempo para concluirla). Después fue seleccionada para PARÍS ART EXPO 2020, (feria suspendida por la situación existente).

Disfruto de hermosísimas y profundas sensaciones cuando pinto. Siento y amo lo que hago, y desde esa pasión por mi arte, estoy convencido de que mis pinturas llegan a muchas de las personan que las ven y las descubren, por eso las realizo. No dejaré de buscar nuevas formas y de nacer cada día en esta pasión que poseo por el arte, tratando que cada una de mis obras tenga vida propia. No puedo, ni quiero evitar mi estilo pictórico en este mundo tan modernista, dejaré que la voluntad de mi arte se desarrolle, fluya y evolucione de forma natural. “El arte en la pintura nos hace soñar, nos transporta, nos da felicidad…”

Delgado Ramírez ENGLISH Based in Malaga, Delgado Ramírez has always been an artist, having a close relationship with art from an early age. His work has a clear classical and impressionist influence. It is defined by a desire to capture the “essence” in his paintings, from his characters to his landscapes.

As a lover of harmony in what he creates, he works scales, perspectives, textures, depth, volume management, etc.

He develops his work with great calm and patience, managing to capture the spirit of his characters, vivid impressions, and special atmospheres obtained from his colorful palette.

“I am a lover of art in general and painting in particular; a canvas and a brush stole my heart. As a child, I fell in love with one of the oldest and most exciting expressions, “Artistic Painting.” I do my works from the heart, without thinking about things that make them difficult. For me, painting should not be complicated.

In this, my second 2021 yearbook, I present two very peculiar works, with the same format, but different from each other. The first, “Interpretation of the Dancer by S. Evalenteu,” signed in 2016. This magnificent Russian photographer inspired my painting with his photograph. I want to show it in this yearbook because all the events that were exposed reached people internally, so I feel that I must continue to publish it. The second work is “River Alzette passing through the Grund neighborhood, Luxembourg,” signed in 2020. It may be the first time I will show it to the public. It was made with the intention of being exhibited at the International Art Fair of Luxembourg, Dec 2019 (but there was no time to finalize it). I enjoy very beautiful and deep sensations when I paint. I feel and love what I do, and from that passion for my art, I am convinced that my paintings reach many of the people who sees and discovers them; that’s why I make them. I will not stop looking for new ways, and being born every day in this passion that I have for art, trying to give each of my works a life of its own. I cannot, nor do I want to avoid my pictorial style in this modernist world. I will let the will of my art develop, flow, and evolve naturally.

“Durante mis primeros años como estudiante, me fascinaron las paletas multicolores y las pinceladas texturizadas de los Impresionistas. A medida que mi estilo maduraba, adopté un estilo de pintura más modernista. Admiro mucho las pinturas del artista español Joaquín Sorolla, con sus paisajes marinos luminiscentes, y sus estudios históricos sobre la sociedad y el realismo social.

Aunque me inclino por el realismo social, más recientemente he estado explorando las facetas del surrealismo y las pinturas de artistas surrealistas como Salvador Dalí, quien jugó un papel destacado en el movimiento artístico mundial.

Me interesa el diálogo que existe entre los sueños y el estado de vigilia: el mundo onírico de fabricaciones ilógicas en oposición a la inflexibilidad política y social impuesta dentro de las limitaciones de nuestras sociedades pos contemporáneas.

Uno de los cuadros con los que contribuí a este libro: “Salvador”, es un homenaje al célebre artista Salvador Dalí; representa la conflagración de creencias religiosas en el Medio Oriente.

Mi segundo cuadro: “The Rethinker”, basado en la famosa escultura de Rodin, interpreta obras de otros surrealistas: Magritte, de Chirico y Ernst. Esta pintura representa un “Suceso antropomórfico” en el que el artista toma el lugar de la escultura. A menudo expresamos amor por un artista cuando, en realidad, amamos su obra de arte. Ambos parecen intercambiables.”

Josette Wecsu ENGLISH Born in Paris, France, and later living in Canada, Josette studied at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montreal, where she studied drawing, painting, and sculpture. Years later, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

“During my early years as a student, I was fascinated with the multi-colored palettes and textured brush strokes of the Impressionists. As my style matured, I adopted a more Modernist style of painting. I greatly admire the paintings of the Spanish artist Joaquín Sorolla with his luminescent seascapes and his historical studies on society and social realism.

Although I am inclined toward social realism myself, more recently I have been exploring the facets of Surrealism and the paintings of Surrealist artists such as Salvador Dali, who played a leading role in the worldwide movement.

I am interested in the dialogue that exists between dreams and the waking state: the dream world of illogical fabrication in opposition to the political and social inflexibility imposed within the constraints of our Post-Contemporary societies.

One of the paintings that I contributed to this book is “Salvador,” a tribute to the famous artist, Salvador Dali. It represents the conflagration of religious beliefs in the Middle East.

My second painting, “The Rethinker,” is based on Rodin’s famous sculpture. It interprets artworks by other Surrealists such as Magritte, de Chirico, and Ernst. This painting represents an “Anthropomorphic Happening” whereby the artist takes the place of the sculpture. We often express love for an artist when, in reality, we love his/her artwork. The two appear interchangeable.”

ESPAÑOL Nacido en Houston, Texas, EE.UU, asistió al Instituto de arte de Houston y al Colegio Comunitario en el área de Arte, también en Houston. Su padrastro era dueño de la galería Baquero Gallery, en Houston, donde también vivió durante 10 años de su juventud. Ha tenido varias exposiciones individuales en los Estados Unidos que incluyen Baquero Gallery, St. Studio y el Art Institute of Houston.

El artista crea en su obra una atmósfera emocional y profusa, que expresa su comprensión de la emoción humana, otorgando formas líquidas y caóticas, que invitan a la ambigüedad y perspectivas infinitas por parte del espectador.

“Pienso en mis pinturas como una extensión de nuestro inconsciente colectivo. Cada pieza es una improvisación basada en lo que estoy viviendo en el momento de la creación, la evolución natural de la emoción humana y mi incesante búsqueda de un propósito. Mis pinturas son ambiguas, lo que permite al espectador moverse hacia un espacio de especulación más allá de mis intenciones personales. Hasta ahora he abrazado la falta de forma de la fluidez para proponer una falta de comprensión respecto a la emoción humana, y en el proceso, apuntando a su maleabilidad como líquido. He descubierto que las obras, tanto del canon del surrealismo, como del expresionismo abstracto, son mis mayores influencias artísticas, y mis pinturas siempre se han basado en mi propia crianza tempestuosa.

A lo largo de los años, he recopilado una gran cantidad de técnicas artísticas que incluyen el dibujo, la pintura acrílica y la escultura. Combiné estos conceptos para crear un estilo propio. Con un compresor, espátulas, pinceles y mis propias manos, manipulo capas de pintura usando su fluidez natural, gravedad y ráfagas de aire meticulosamente hasta lograr la imagen exacta que he formado en mi cabeza durante el proceso.”

Ben Dahl ENGLISH Born in Houston, Texas, USA, Ben Dahl attended community college and the Houston Art Institute. His stepfather owned a gallery in Houston called Baquero Gallery, where he also lived for 10 years of his youth. He has had several solo exhibitions in the United States that include Baquero Gallery, St. Studio, and the Art Institute of Houston.

The artist creates an emotional and profuse atmosphere in his work, which expresses his understanding of human emotion, granting liquid and chaotic forms, which invite ambiguity and infinite perspectives on the part of the viewer.

His creation presents a high level of artistic techniques, such as sculpture, drawing, and acrylic, resulting in his own style, which he calls “contemporary abstract maximalism.” Faithful to the absence of form, and with a strong influence of surrealism and abstract expressionism, Ben presents his work as the product of spontaneity and personal intention, which exist at the moment of creating.

“I think of my paintings as an extension of our collective unconscious. Each piece is an improvisation based on what I am experiencing in the moment of creation, the natural evolution of human emotion, and my unending search for purpose. Al observar sus pinturas, nos dan una impresión escultórica, debido al buen manejo de los volúmenes y los claro-oscuros. “Me considero una persona muy sensible y todo lo que me rodea se queda grabado en mi retina y en la cámara de mi móvil.

Disfruto con la sonrisa de un niño, la pose inconsciente de una mujer sentada tomando un café, aquel músico tocando su violín a cambio de unas monedas, mis recuerdos cuando dibujaba en la pizarra de mi humilde y entrañable colegio…

Todo lo que me rodea y mis recuerdos son mis musas e inspiraciones.

Cuando pienso cómo hacer cada obra, ella me indica como quiere que la realice, su estilo, sus colores, su diseño y el material en su construcción, rodillos de caucho, pinceles, espátulas, etc.

Mis obras parten de una emoción que inunda mi corazón, se transforman en una idea que toma forma en mi cabeza y mis manos plasman con color y luz la emoción percibida.

Mi obra ha pasado por varias etapas, desde el uso de pintura a base de manchas, arte realista, arte expresionista con rodillo de caucho y ahora estoy transformándolas a un estilo muy propio y característico, con la fuerza del color, la geometría en el espacio y la técnica impresionista.

Este nuevo estilo lo he llamado Impresionismo Geométrico, y su obra más representativa es “La vida es un tango”.”

Carlos Vicente Losa Revuelta ENGLISH Carlos is an artist of textures, light, and color. With realistic and figurative work, he has impressionist influences that have led him towards a unique and personal style, a style that he calls Geometric Impressionism.

His work exhibits a clean aesthetic handling, presenting solid colors and well-worked textures. When observing his paintings, they give us a sculptural impression, due to the good handling of volumes and light-dark. His characters tend to avoid the viewer’s gaze, generating an aura of mystery.

Carlos tries to get the viewer of his work involved in it, and live it as he did at the time of the artistic creation.

His extensive record of accomplishment includes fairs, exhibitions, and awards throughout Spain, France, Italy, China, and the United States.

“I consider myself a very sensitive person and everything that surrounds me remains recorded on my retina and on my mobile camera.

I enjoy the smile of a child, the unconscious pose of a woman sitting down having a coffee, that musician playing his violin in exchange for a few coins, my memories when I drew on the blackboard of my humble and endearing school...

My memories and everything that surrounds me are my muses and inspirations.

When I think about how to do each work, it tells me how it wants to be done–its style, its colors, its design, and the material in its construction, rubber rollers, brushes, spatulas, etc.

My works start from an emotion that floods my heart. They transform into an idea that takes shape in my head and my hands capture the perceived emotion with color and light.

My work has gone through several stages, from the use of stain-based paint, realistic art, expressionist art with a rubber roller, and now, I am transforming them to a very personal and characteristic style, with the force of color, geometry in space, and the impressionist technique.

I have called this new style Geometric Impressionism, and my most representative work is “La vida es un tango.”

Inició su camino artístico en 2001, año en que también nació su hijo.

Como artista tomó cursos y talleres de arte, mejorando así su técnica. Más tarde impulsó su carrera artística vendiendo su trabajo en galerías y exponiendo en WohnKreativ, Gunskirchen, Emerging Artist Platform, Artbox.Project Zürich 2020 y Context Art Gallery Treviso.

Su obra abstracta tiene una fuerte muestra de su energía. Juega con texturas y materiales, combinando espátula y dedos, logrando un vibrante equilibrio entre caos y control. Busca causar un viaje perceptivo, que revele nuevos detalles al observar su obra y que envuelva emocionalmente al espectador.

“Me di cuenta de que convertirme en artista y crear pinturas abstractas, me permitió no concentrarme en lo que veía, sino en cómo me sentía y en la energía que venía con ello. Por un corto período de tiempo, dejé ir mi necesidad de control, tomé riesgos y me perdí en el proceso.

Es muy relajante para mí, poner mis diferentes emociones en un lienzo con colores fuertes, en un flujo armonioso.

Prefiero trabajar con colores acrílicos, arena y pasta de estructura en un estilo abstracto. Me encanta trabajar con tizas pastel, además, para darle a la pintura un poco más de profundidad, en lugar de mis pinceles, uso mi espátula y mis dedos la mayor parte del tiempo.

Finalmente, mi proceso de pintar es como encontrar el equilibrio adecuado entre el caos y el control. Quiero llevar a los espectadores de mi obra, a un viaje en el que siempre encuentren nuevos detalles, cuanto más tiempo echen un vistazo a mi arte y sientan el flujo armonioso.

Crear arte significa trabajar emociones y ver surgir cosas nuevas.

Después de 19 años en mi trabajo de actual, decidí que tenía que haber algo más en la vida y por eso quiero poner más energía en lo que amo y quiero reforzar mi carrera artística.

Ser o convertirse en artista nunca ha sido una cuestión, simplemente sucedió.

Para mí es un placer cuando a la gente le gustan mis pinturas y puedo satisfacerlas.”

Cornelia Stadler ENGLISH Based in Austria, Cornelia is a chemist and self-taught artist, with a background in the pharmaceutical industry. She dedicates all the time possible to her passion for art.

Cornelia began her artistic journey in 2001, the year her son was born.

It’s so relaxing for me to put my different emotions on canvas with strong colors in a harmonious flow. I prefer working with acrylic colors, sand, and structure paste in an abstract style. I love to work with pastel chalks to give the painting some more depth, and instead of my brushes, I use my palette knife and my fingers most of the time.

Ultimately, my painting process is like finding the right balance between chaos and control. I want to take the viewers of my painting on a journey where they always find new details and feel the harmonious flow.

Creating art means working up emotions and seeing new things arise.

After 19 years in my job, I determined that there had to be something more in life. I want to put more energy into what I love and I want to force my artistic career.

“Me encanta pintar con espátula, me encanta la textura y formas que se logra, colores limpios e intensos, crear nuevas formas.

Al ser madre me dio mayor sensibilidad de pintar a niños y tratar de captar en mis obras su inocencia y ternura, también pinto mujeres ya que somos el pilar de una familia. En mi obra “Mantener la Calma“, hago referencia a que cuando uno tenga problemas tenemos que permanecer positivos y decir “esto pasará” para transmitir seguridad y tranquilidad a nuestros hijos.

Mi objetivo es conocer más lugares mediante mi arte y siempre estar agradecida con Dios porque sin él nada de esto sería posible.”

Graciela Gallardo Barrientos ENGLISH Graciela is a virtuous Bolivian painter, born in Oruro, Bolivia, who has a broad artistic career, having participated in collective and solo exhibitions throughout the American continent, in countries such as the United States, Ecuador, Argentina, and Bolivia.

Her work is figurative, with an impressionist influence, charged with emotion and revealing a very personal vision of the world that surrounds her, expressed with lines full of fresh colors, with great sensitivity and overflowing positivity.

Graciela creates her artistic work using the spatula as her favorite and primary tool, which allows her to create textures and shapes that harmonize in the dance of her strokes, with colors that give life to her art. Her style exposes the soul of her pieces, in which femininity, childlike innocence, and her strong sensitivity to reality, emerge from a positive point of view charged with energy, and leaving her personal essence reflected.

“I love painting with a spatula. I love the texture and shapes that are achieved, the clean and intense colors, creating new shapes.

Being a mother gave me greater sensitivity to painting children and trying to capture their innocence and tenderness in my works. I also paint women who are the pillar of a family. In my work, “Keep Calm,” I refer to when one has problems; we have to stay positive and say this will be over, and transmit security and tranquility to our children.

My goal is to know more places through my art, and always be grateful to God, because without him, none of this would be possible.”

ESPAÑOL Nacido en Seúl, Corea, Hojin Hwang trabajó por más de 15 años como ajustador de siniestros en reclamos de incendios y desastres naturales. Las tormentas que azotaron el curso de su vida, le dejaron traumas que se aliviarían al expresarse en fotografías, sin necesidad de palabras ni de escritura.

En el área laboral fue testigo de devastación y muerte de animales, desastres naturales, que lo marcaron irreversiblemente. Su narrativa visual está compuesta por los ecos de sus heridas internas, como un monólogo de las marcas que se tatuaron muy en el fondo.

Trabaja bajo la filosofía de que todo está conectado como una red y que no hay forma de encontrar soluciones en la vida sin una comprensión de la relación causa-efecto.

En julio de 2020, fue seleccionado en una exhibición de competencia para representar a Corea en el “Premio de Arte Asiático Soberano 2021” organizado por la Fundación de Arte Soberano con sede en Londres y Hong Kong.

“Los desastres eran parte de mi vida diaria y, durante muchos años, me gané la vida comprobando qué los causaban.

Por razones de privacidad, mi trabajo prohibía explicar lo que veía a los demás, pero desde que me familiaricé con este medio aburrido de vida, me sentí más cómodo con las fotos que con las palabras y los escritos. Como no soy una persona inteligente, las palabras y escrituras “eran como una red de pesca con nudos tan anchos, que no eran ideales para explicar lo que vi” Una vez, frente a una pareja joven que perdió a su hija de 10 años en un incendio, tuve que tomar fotografías del lugar donde se encontró a la niña tendida. Un día, pesé decenas de miles de peces que murieron por la marea roja en una piscifactoría, y tuve que tomar fotografías mecánicamente de las figuras que representan el peso de los peces muertos en la balanza durante todo el día.

Solo después de que el sustento que tenía que soportar desde la perspectiva de un observador llegara a su fin, pude comenzar a hacer imágenes superponiendo y pegando los momentos de los desastres agazapados en mis fotos.

No hay otra razón. Solo espero que partes del mundo en las fotos que dejo en el registro, permanezcan con la gente como un espejo en su vida diaria. Escuché que para Nam June Paik, el fundador del videoarte, la luna era el televisor más antiguo del mundo. Para mí, el espejo es la cámara más antigua del mundo.”

HJH (Hojin Hwang) ENGLISH Born in Seoul, Korea, Hojin Hwang has over 15 years’ experience working as a loss adjuster dealing with fire and natural disaster claims.

The storms that hit the course of his life left traumas that would be alleviated by expressing themselves in photographs, without needing words or writing.

He witnessed devastation, natural disasters, and animal death that irreversibly marked him. His visual narrative is composed of the echoes of his internal wounds, like a monologue of the marks that were tattooed deep inside.

He works under the philosophy that everything is connected as a web, and that there is no way to find solutions in life, without an understanding of cause and effect relationship.

In July 2020, he was selected in a competition exhibition to represent Korea in the “Sovereign Asian Art Award 2021” organized by the London and Hong Kong-based Sovereign Art Foundation.

“Disasters were part of my daily life, and for many years, I made a living by examining what such disasters caused.

For privacy considerations, my job prohibited explaining to others what I saw, but since I became familiar with this boring livelihood, I felt comfortable with photos more than words and writings. As I am not a smart person; ‘words’ and ‘writings’ were like a fishing net with wide knots, which were not ideal to explain what I saw.

Once, right in front of a young couple who lost their 10-year-old daughter in a fire, I had to take pictures of the spot where the child was found lying. One day, I weighed tens of thousands of fish that died from the red tide in a fish farm and mechanically had to take pictures of the figures representing the weight of dead fishes on the scale all day long.

Only after the livelihood that I had to bear from an observer’s perspective came to an end, I could start making images by overlapping and pasting the times of disasters crouching in my photos. There is no other reason. I just hope that slices of the world in the photos I put on record would remain with people just like a mirror in their daily lives. I hear that to Nam June Paik, the founder of video art, the moon was the oldest TV in the world. To me, the mirror is the oldest camera in the world.”

“Desde que tengo memoria amé el dibujo y la pintura, y comencé con la poesía desde los 16 años.

Mis poemas están en holandés e inglés. Nunca olvidaré el primero.

Conociendo la fuente de toda luz. Es como ver crecer un árbol en un solo momento.

Antes de empezar a vender, la calidad de mi trabajo fue valorada por el conservador del Museo Frans Hals de Haarlem.

Esta venta comenzó a finales de los años 80, y hasta ahora, cientos de ellos se venden entre acrílicos y obras sobre papel a empresas, arquitectos, abogados, etc. y por supuesto, a coleccionistas.

El gobierno holandés también compró mi obra para las embajadas de Berlín, Londres y Varsovia, entre otras.

Para algunas de las esculturas a pequeña o de grande escala y para las maquetas que realizo, empleo todo tipo de material, desde madera flotante hasta marga y acero.

She also has artistic talent in poetry, which is directly projected in her paintings, through elegance and grace with which she proposes figures that are far from trivial, but with specific characteristics that convey serenity and calm.

Her work in painting shows a mature and very personal unique style.

The main message in the development of her work, is freedom, and above all, female emancipation and the understanding of human coexistence.

“Since I can remember, I loved drawing and painting. I began poetry at 16 years of age.

My poems are in Dutch/English, and I’ll never forget the first one.

Knowing the source of all light is seeing a tree grow in a single moment.

Before I started selling my work, the curator of the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem judged it on quality.

Selling my work began in the 80’s and now hundreds have been sold. This includes my acrylic art and other work on paper.

I have sold my work to companies, architects, lawyers, and of course, collectors.

The Dutch Government bought my work for Embassies in Berlin, London, and Warsaw.

The sculptures are big, small, and scale models. For this, I use all kinds of material from driftwood to marl and steel, and some have been realized.

I am oversensitive and I live withdraw.

ESPAÑOL Micah es una artista autodidacta e informática, conocida en el mundo del arte como Miyakah. Comenzó a dibujar desde temprana edad, pero no fue hasta que asistió a la universidad que esa pasión artística se formalizó, dando lugar al deseo de convertirla en su vida profesional.

Como pintora neurodivergente, deja en su creación una huella nunca antes vista. Su trabajo abstracto, afilado y desafiante es el resultado de su don y visión únicos que la caracterizan, dejando en su camino un arte estimulante y magnético que es capaz de transmitir hasta la energía más sutil.

“Mi proceso artístico comienza con un impulso; que busca hacer visible, visual y bien definido lo invisible, esquivo e intangible. Mi trabajo proviene de mis dones y mi visión única como persona neurodivergente; de esta manera, cada pincelada es a la vez estimulante y una fijación de mi capacidad innata de percibir e interiorizar las energías sutiles y complejas que me rodean. Mi trabajo artístico sorprende y deleita con lo atrevido, desafiante, dinámico y sin forma; en muchos sentidos, se puede decir que mi campo de juego consiste en la transmisión de sensaciones, caos y emociones, al mismo tiempo que resalta un orden subyacente que flota en su interior.

El desafío, la subversión de la normatividad y la comunicación auténtica son parte de mis metas como artista. Miyakah ENGLISH Micah is a self-taught artist and computer scientist, known in the art world as Miyakah. She began to draw from an early age, but it was not until she attended university that her artistic passion was formalized, giving rise to the desire to turn it into her professional life.

As a neurodivergent painter, she leaves an imprint on her creation not seen before. Her abstract, sharp, and challenging work is the result of her unique gifts and vision that characterize her, leaving in her path a stimulating and magnetic art that is capable of transmitting even the most subtle energy.

Micah’s abstract work has been gaining popularity around the world, starting with a solid presence on social media, to exhibitions in the USA, Brussels, and Canada.

“My artistic process begins with an impulse; an itch aimed at making visible visual, and defined the invisible, elusive, and intangible within them. My work comes from my gifts and unique vision as a neurodiverse person. In this way, each brushstroke is both stimulating and a fixation of my innate ability to perceive and internalize the subtle and complex energies that surround me. My artistic work surprises and delights with the bold, challenging, dynamic, and formless. In many ways, it can be said that my playing field consists of the transmission of sensations, chaos, and emotions at the same time that they highlight the pockets of order that float inside.

Defiance, subversion of normativity and authentic communication, are part of my goals as an artist. These come directly from my identity and subsequent way of occupying space in the world. ESPAÑOL Rossana es una artista autodidacta, estudió en un colegio científico y fue modelo en el mundo de la moda. En el 2015 decidió dedicar más tiempo al arte, continuando así el camino artístico que empezó cuando era niña y que siguió presente en el transcurso de su vida.

Ella reinterpreta estilos antiguos, mezclándolos con su propio estilo, lo que la lleva a crear un trabajo íntimo y personal.

Su estilo realista presente bajo la influencia del Renacimiento muestra la figura human y la representación de rostros idealizados como tema central. Podemos observar también la influencia del Barroco en la manera en que trata la luz y la oscuridad. Sus temas religiosos muestran un juego entre lo erótico y lo sagrado, creando así una lectura conceptual hacia esta nueva estética.

La delicadeza y precisión de sus líneas bien definidas, el contraste de las figuras son reflejo de una búsqueda de la belleza humana o lo divino dentro de esta humanidad.

Finalmente podemos decir que de su obra emana cierta ironía y misticismo que no sincita a descifrar su verdadero significado.

«Empecé a dibujar y pintar cuando era niña de forma autodidacta debido a una gran inherente pasión, como si fuera bombardeada por una inacabable explosión de imágenes e ideas que pedían ser creadas. A pesar de ello nunca seguí una formación artística.

Cuando terminé el colegio me inscribí en la facultad de derecho pero no terminé la carrera, preferí trabajar como modelo en la industria de la moda.

En el 2015 empecé a asistir a cursos de pintura en una escuela de la ciudad donde vivo, tomé como inspiración a mis “monstruos del pasado” y empecé a perfeccionarme. Desde entonces, también me gusta reinterpretar el trabajo de esos grandes pintores clásicos, los personalizo. Al mismo tiempo inicié mi camino en la escultura.

En mis obras lo individual siempre está en el centro como dentro de un espacio interior conceptual en donde los sujetos están inmersos, en un espacio y tiempo de la mente y el alma. Solo existe el instinto más libre. Las imágenes surgen desde mis sueños. Sabemos de nosotros solo a través de las sensaciones. Rostros, cuerpos, símbolos, miedos, deseos y recuerdos se superponen.

Hasta ahora me he especializado en óleo, pero quisiera experimentar con nuevas técnicas. Aún me siento en la búsqueda constante por explorar lo profundidad íntima y expresarla a través de este lenguaje maravilloso.»

Rossana Baraldi ENGLISH Rossana is a self-taught artist, having studied at a scientific school and being a model in the fashion world. In 2015, she decided to devote more time to art, continuing the artistic path that started when she was a child and carried on during her life.

She reinterprets antique styles, mixing them with her own personal style, leading to the creation of an intimate and private work.

Her realistic style presents Renaissance influence, showing the human figure as the central theme and the representation of idealized faces. We can also observe the baroque influence in the intense treatment of dark and light, and in its religious themes, which show a game between religion and eroticism, creating a new aesthetic and conceptual lecture.

The delicacy and precision of her lines form well-defined and contrasted figures, showing a search for human beauty or the divine side of the human.

Finally, we can say that her works emanate a certain mystery and a certain irony, which incite us to decipher their true meaning.

“I started drawing and painting as a child, self-taught due to a strong innate passion, as if I was struck by an unstoppable explosion of ideas and images that were asking to be created. Despite this, I have never undertaken an artistic school path.

After scientific high school, I enrolled in the Faculty of Law, which I did not complete, preferring to work in the world of fashion as a model.

In 2015, I started attending a painting school based in my city where, taking inspiration from the great masters of the past, I tried to perfect myself. Since then, I have worked to reinterpret the works of the great painters of the past, personalizing them.

At the same time, I started to devote myself to sculpture.

In my works, the individual is always at the center, in an interior conceptual space in which the subjects are immersed–a space and time of the mind and soul. There is only the freer instinct. The images emerge as if from dreams. We measure ourselves only with sensations. Faces, bodies, symbols, fears, desires, and memories can overlap.

Until now, I have preferred to paint in oil, but I also love to experiment with new techniques. I still feel along the way, in a spasmodic research for the intimate depth, to be expressed through this marvelous language.”

ESPAÑOL Virginia cursó Diseño Gráfico en la escuela de arte superior ESDIP y actualmente estudia el Grado en Conservación de Arte en la UCM. Con exposiciones en Milán, Barcelona, Cuenca y Madrid, es una artista inmersa en la abstracción, si inspiración nace en las emociones y la naturaleza, con una especial fascinación por los temas marítimos.

Utiliza el ALCOHOL INK (tinta con base de alcohol) para crear obras de forma espontánea e intuitiva, obedeciendo y siguiendo muchas veces los caprichos del material y las condiciones atmosféricas, ya sea en el secado, el craquelado o en las formas que van surgiendo al mezclar materiales sobre el lienzo.

Su investigación pictórica busca la armonía y los matices en el color, para lograr piezas con mucha luz y superficies matéricas que incitan al tacto.

“Desde muy pequeña comencé a dibujar, y se convirtió en la manera de comunicarme con el mundo… mi maestro fue mi abuelo, que me trasladó la pasión de plasmar en lienzos estados de ánimo, emociones y sentimientos.

Realicé mis estudios de Bachillerato artístico y volví a coger mis viejos pinceles después de años, entonces descubrí la magia de la pintura abstracta, donde mis emociones al visualizar aquellas obras se ponían a flor de piel, algo casi inexplicable, por lo que decidí experimentar.

Seguí mi investigación en el arte abstracto fluido, quería más, quería tener mi propia técnica que fuera mi sello personal, por lo que pasé de trabajar con láminas a trabajar con lienzos, buscando transportar aquellas tintas a otra dimensión… Aparecieron nuevas texturas y una paleta de colores muy personal en pinturas acrílicas como base para dar forma y fuerza a las obras, desarrollando un concepto de arte improvisado, de intuiciones y corazonadas, dejando que el sentimiento crezca y sea plasmado.

Mi obra busca acercar a la gente a la emoción de poder imaginar, sentir armonías y emociones que me inspiraron en la creación de las mismas, es por ello que mi inspiración se basa, sobre todo, en la naturaleza, especialmente en el mar, en la libertad que este me aporta, su magia, su misterio, y lo bien que conecta a la hora de ser plasmado sobre un lienzo” Virginia Lozano ENGLISH Virginia studied Graphic Design at the ESDIP School of Art and is currently studying for a degree in Art Conservation at UCM. With exhibitions in Milan, Barcelona, Cuenca, and Madrid, she is an artist immersed in abstraction, inspired by emotions and nature, with a special fascination for maritime themes.

Use ALCOHOL INK (alcohol-based ink) to spontaneously create works and intuitively, obeying and following many times the vagaries of the material and atmospheric conditions, whether in drying, cracking, or in the forms that arise when mixing materials on canvas.

Her pictorial research seeks harmony and nuances in color, to achieve pieces with lots of light and material surfaces that incite the touch.

“From a very young age I began to draw, and it became my way to communicate with the world. My teacher was my grandfather, who transferred to me the passion of capturing moods, emotions, and feelings on canvas.

I did my Artistic Baccalaureate studies and picked up my old brushes again after several years, and discovered the magic of abstract painting. My emotions, when visualizing those works, were put to the surface, and something almost inexplicable happened, so I decided to experiment.

I continued my research in fluid abstract art, but I wanted more. I wanted to have my own technique that would be my personal stamp, so I went from working with sheets to working with canvases, seeking to transport those inks to another dimension. New textures and a very personal colors palette appeared in acrylic paints as a basis to give shape and strength to the works, developing a concept of improvised art, of intuitions and hunches, allowing the feeling to grow and be captured.

My work seeks to bring people closer to the emotion of being able to imagine, feel harmonies and emotions that inspired me to create them. That is why my inspiration is based, above all, on nature, especially on the sea, on the freedom that it gives me, its magic, its mystery, and how well it connects when it is captured on a canvas.”

Comenzó su carrera de pintura como resultado de varias experiencias espirituales que le cambiaron la vida, en las que tuvo visiones y sueños exquisitos, que ahora pinta. Su estilo en la pintura va desde lo místico, psicodélico, abstracto hasta experimental.

El arte de Nisha ha ganado un reconocimiento internacional sin precedentes en muy poco tiempo. Su trabajo es considerado único y “nunca antes visto” por famosos coleccionistas de arte y críticos, y es representada por plataformas de arte y galerías como: Van Der Plas Gallery (Nueva York), Van Gogh (Madrid), Mads Milano (Milán), Day2day (Montpellier), Zigguart (Milán), Context (Treviso) y la expo del proyecto Artbox (Zúrich).

Durante estas epifanías, cambié a un estado de trance y sueños lúcidos. También he experimentado mi cuerpo elevándose físicamente en el aire y transportándose a una nueva dimensión.

Pero el incidente que inició específicamente mi viaje artístico, ocurrió hace unos 2 años. Recuerdo claramente el día: me sumergí en un spa, en una sala, y caí en un estado de sueño profundo, donde comencé a tener sueños lúcidos 5D, nuevamente, con visiones e imágenes muy hermosas, fuera del mundo. A diferencia de antes, este evento fue tan convincente que cuando volví a casa, supe que tenía que dibujar lo que veía, y éste se convirtió en el comienzo de mi viaje como pintora. Así, el Arte me eligió.

Leí una cita de Van Gogh mucho después de mis propias experiencias, que se hacen eco de él: “Sueño mi pintura y pinto mi sueño”.

Mis obras hablan de mi mundo interior, que es como un trance profundo, místico, pero dichoso e iluminado. Me han dicho que todas mis obras son únicas y nunca antes vistas. Y que todos hablan de un efecto de ensueño místico, psicodélico y profundo.”

Nisha Kapoor ENGLISH Nisha Kapoor is an international award-winning artist with affiliation from UNESCO. Her talents as an artist range across painting, filmmaking, writing, and many more creative spheres.

She began her painting career as a result of some life changing spiritual experiences, in which she saw exquisite visions and dreams that she now paints. Her style in painting ranges from mystical, psychedelic, abstract, and experimental.

Nisha’s art has gained an unprecedented international recognition in a very short span of time. Her work is regarded as very unique and “never seen before” by famous art collectors and critiques and she is represented by art platforms and galleries viz. Van Der Plas Gallery (New York), Van Gogh (Madrid), Mads Milano (Milan), Day2day (Montpellier), Zigguart (Milan), Context (Treviso) and the Artbox project expo (Zurich). She was selected to show her work in Raw Artist online gallery and Emerging Artist Plattform. “Throughout my life I have had a lot of spiritual experiences - for more than a decade. During these epiphanies, I get shifted to a state of trance and lucid dreams. I have also experienced my body physically getting lifted into the air and transporting into a new dimension.

The incident that specifically started my art journey happened about two years ago. I clearly remember the day.

I was immersed in a spa at a parlor and fell off into a state of deep sleep, where I started having lucid 5D dreams again. They were very beautiful, out of the world visions and images. Unlike before, this event was so compelling that when I came back home, I knew I had to draw what I saw. This became the start of my journey as a painter. Hence, art chose me.

Van Gogh’s quote is much after my own experiences, which echo him – “I dream my painting and paint my dream.”

My works speak of my inner world, which is trance-like, deep, mystic, yet blissful and illuminated. I have been told that all of my works are very unique, never seen before, and that they all speak of a mystic, psychedelic and deep dream effect.”

ESPAÑOL Beatriz Larrosa, es una artista plástica autodidacta, manifestó su interés artístico a muy temprana edad, siempre ha estado relacionada con la cultura. Su obra es mayormente abstracta y presenta un alto contenido emocional y dinamismo, juega mucho con los sentimientos y la intensidad de los trazos.

Al observar con detenimiento sus pinturas, comenzamos a descubrir formas y figuras ocultas, producto de la fuerza de su línea y movimiento en sus colores. Con diversas muestras artísticas a lo largo y ancho de toda la República de Uruguay, Beatriz nos muestra un universo intimista y muy personal.

“Me considero una artista autodidacta, ya que me instruí a mi misma por mis propios medios y llevé a cabo el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje sin ayuda de un maestro, basándome en el conocimiento adquirido por la experiencia y mi propio juicio crítico. Comencé a manifestar mi interés en el ámbito a muy temprano edad, sin embargo, mostré mi arte de forma pública hace algunos años atrás. Un día, en compañía de mi hija menor, fuimos en busca de un poco de pintura y algunos pinceles, desde ese entonces no paré de hacer lo que realmente me gusta, pintar. He realizado múltiples exposiciones en distintos museos y hoteles de Uruguay. Para mis obras utilizo pinturas acrílicas y óleos sobre lienzo. Me especializo en el arte abstracto, considero que la representación de objetos identificables mediante imágenes reconocibles es lo que más me apasiona hacer.

Mi inspiración es el simple hecho de estar con vida, aunque he de reconocer que situaciones de tristeza, felicidad y frustración son gran motivador para mi, el arte es una forma de desahogo y es en donde me siento yo misma, lugar en el cual puedo expresar mis emociones.

El título de mis muestras “Todo por tu luz” se debe a una cuestión personal y familiar, que al igual que todo lo otro, esto también tiene que ver con mi motivación.

Actualmente estoy exponiendo en Treinta y Tres, mi ciudad natal, en conmemoración del día de la mujer. Realizo obras por pedidos o por el simple placer de realizarlas; siempre me encuentro dispuesta a participar en exposiciones con compañeros del ámbito o de forma particular, pintar es lo que me apasiona y siempre será así.”

Beatriz Larrosa ENGLISH Beatriz Larrosa is a self-taught plastic artist, who began expressing her artistic interest from an early age, always being related to culture. Her work is mostly abstract and presents highly emotional content and dynamism, playing a lot with the feelings and the intensity of the strokes.

By carefully observing her paintings, we begin to discover hidden shapes and figures, a product of the strength of her line and movement in her colors. With diverse artistic exhibitions throughout the entire Republic of Uruguay, Beatriz shows us an intimate and very personal universe.

“I consider myself a self-taught artist, as I taught myself by my own means and carried out the teaching and learning process without the help of a teacher, based on the knowledge acquired through experience and my own critical judgment. I began to show interest in the field at a very early age. I first showed my art publicly a few years ago.

One day, in the company of my youngest daughter, we went in search of a little paint and some brushes. Since then, I have not stopped doing what I really enjoy–painting. I have had multiple exhibitions in different museums and hotels in Uruguay. For my works, I use acrylic paints and oils on canvas. I specialize in abstract art. I consider that the representation of identifiable objects through recognizable images is what I am most passionate about doing.

My inspiration is the simple fact of being alive, although I have to admit that situations of sadness, happiness, and frustration are a great motivator for me. Art is a form of relief and it is where I feel myself, a place in which I can express my emotions.

The title of my exhibitions “Todo por tu luz” comes from a personal and family matter, which like everything else, has to do with my motivation.

I am currently exhibiting in Treinta y Tres, my hometown, in commemoration of Women’s Day. I carry out works by request or for the simple pleasure of doing them. I am always willing to participate in exhibitions with colleagues in the field. Painting is what I am passionate about and it will always be that way.”

ESPAÑOL Con una evidente inquietud artística desde pequeña, Joana Loução, actual estudiante de Diseño de Equipos en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Lisboa, es una artista portuguesa que sobrepasa las fronteras de lo usual, aterrizando en una producción artística diversa, emotiva y personal.

Joana se desenvuelve en un plano abstracto, producto de una serie de exploraciones artísticas. Las que iniciaron con dibujos, hasta ir evolucionando a la pintura, emplea medios como el óleo y el acrílico, acompañados de elementos sin forma pero con mensajes que no hacen más que plasmar aquello que ella lleva adentro. Así expresa un desorden perfectamente ordenado.

Son sus trazos pronunciados, la energía que contienen y la vitalidad de sus colores, que logran un acabado peculiar e impresionante, convirtiéndose en música para el espectador. Una sinfonía de trazos danzantes e inmersos en su abstracción, rebosantes de mensajes y continuos descubrimientos sobre la verdadera esencia de la artista, presentes en cada espacio de su obra.

“Estoy a la mitad de mi licenciatura en Diseño de Equipos de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Lisboa. Mi amor por las artes comenzó desde el inicio de mi corta edad. Aparte de mi enfoque principal y estudio en Diseño de Productos, siempre he tenido una tendencia y pasión por el dibujo. Mi diario de gráficos me sigue a todas partes y siempre que lo necesito. Se parece mucho a una recopilación de emociones y una terapia en mi vida diaria.

Sin embargo, cuando la pandemia se apoderó del mundo y tuvimos que aislarnos por completo, mi diario de gráficos ya no me bastaba. ¡Tuve que expandir mis garabatos y abstracción de alguna manera! Entonces, llené la pared de mi habitación con toneladas de hojas de papel y comencé a darme cuenta de mis emociones en ellas con pintura acrílica. Fue entonces cuando empezó mi pasión por la pintura.

Luego, hice la transición del papel al lienzo e inicié mi primera pintura personal, que es la que se presenta en este Gran Anuario y se titula “Creación y desfiguración”. Me inspiré en una mancha de cerveza derramada en los pantalones de una chica para crearlo. Esa mancha particular y extrañamente interesante, fue mi punto de partida, que luego se convirtió en algo más propio.

“Una gota en el océano” fue una inmersión en lo desconocido. Es una obra de arte no planificada en la que el pincel era el que mandaba: las líneas poco a poco comenzaron a tomar forma y significado. Y continuó desde allí... supongo que esa es mi forma de crear de manera efectiva. La espontaneidad me conmueve y es lo que más pretendo expresar.

Mi principal influencia con respecto a artistas reconocidos es Pablo Picasso: la forma en que incorpora vitalidad, movimiento, potencia y emoción en sus obras de arte. Me gustan los colores vibrantes y los lienzos llenos. ¡Sin espacios en blanco!”.

Joana Loução ENGLISH With an evident artistic interest since she was a young girl, Joana Loução, current student of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon, is a Portuguese artist who surpasses the boundaries of the usual, landing in a diverse, emotional, and personal artistic production.

Joana creates in an abstract plane, the product of a series of artistic explorations that began with drawings, until gradually evolving into painting, with media such as oil and acrylic. Her art is accompanied by shapeless elements and messages that do nothing more than capture what she carries inside, expressing a perfectly ordered disorder.

It is her pronounced lines, the energy they contain, and the vitality of their colors that achieve a peculiar and impressive finish that is like music to the viewer. A symphony of dancing lines immersed in her abstraction, brimming with messages and continuous discoveries about the true essence of the artist, present in every space of her work.

“I am half through my bachelor’s degree in Equipment Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. My appreciation for arts started at a young age. Apart from my prime focus and study in Product Design, I have always had a tendency and passion for drawing. My graphic journal follows me everywhere and is available whenever I need him. He is a lot like a compilation of emotions and a therapist in my daily life.

However, when the pandemic took over the world and we had to isolate completely, my graphic journal was no longer enough for me. I had to expand my doodles and abstractedness somehow! So, I filled my bedroom wall with tons of paper sheets and started realizing my emotions on them with acrylic paint. That was when my passion for painting started.

Then, I transitioned from paper to canvas and initiated my very first personal painting which is the one presented in this Gran Anuario and titled “Creation & Disfigurement.” I was inspired by a stain of beer spilled on some girl´s pants to create it. That particularly and weirdly interesting stain was my starting point which was then developed into something of my own.

“A drop in the ocean” was a dive into the unknown. It is an unplanned art piece in which the brush was the one in command: lines slowly started to take shape and meaning. And it went on from there... I guess that that is my way of effectively creating. Spontaneity moves me and it is what I most intend to express.

My main influence from well-regarded artists is Pablo Picasso. I love the way he incorporates vitality, motion, powerfulness, and emotion in his art pieces. I like vibrant colours and fulfilled canvas. No blank spaces!”

ESPAÑOL Marga Corsín estudió decoración y diseño de interiores, pero siempre con una curiosidad innata hacia el arte. Estudió en la escuela de cerámica de la Moncloa (Madrid), también hizo diferentes cursos monográficos: Texturas y Vidriados, Terras Sigillatas, Serigrafía y Grabado. En su estudio artístico compagina las jornadas de trabajo con la actividad docente.

Más adelante comenzó a interesarse por la pintura y sus diversas posibilidades estéticas. Le atrae el mundo oriental y empezó a practicar la técnica de pintura ancestral china Sumi-e. Producto de este gran abanico de posibilidades y la experimentación de diferentes técnicas, materiales y soportes, comprende la simbiosis entre escultura y pintura.

Con una obra primero abstracta, actualmente está inmersa en la representación figurativa de peces abisales, que habitan en la profundidad de los océanos y mares, con una intención metafórica y concepción muy personal.

“En la actualidad estoy inmersa en la temática del MUNDO ABISAL representándolo en diversos soportes (oleos, acuarelas, tintas, arcilla).

La obra los ABISALES no solo es un muestrario de seres de los abismos, es una inmersión figurativa e imaginaria que se utiliza como metáfora para acercarnos a nuestro mundo real y explorar sensaciones y estados de ánimo que nos asaltan en nuestra realidad cotidiana, a veces difíciles de sobrellevar y que, en muchos casos hace falta encararlos con valentía y equidad, aunque casi nunca resulta fácil.

Si te dejas llevar por un recorrido emocional a través de ellos ya no se perciben como seres tan agresivos ni amenazadores, incluso dan la impresión de transmitir una sensación de estar apresados o en “confinamiento”, reclamando una vía de escape. Sería posible que sean ellos los que se sienten cohibidos…”

Marga Corsín ENGLISH Marga Corsín studied interior design and decor, but always with an innate curiosity towards art. She studied at the ceramics school of La Moncloa (Madrid). She also did different monographic courses: Textures and Glazing, Terras Sigillatas, Serigraphy, and Engraving. In her artistic study, she combines working hours with teaching.

Later, she became interested in painting and its various aesthetic possibilities. She is attracted to the oriental world and begins to practice the ancient Chinese painting technique Sumi-e. Product of this wide range of possibilities and the experimentation of different techniques, materials and supports, it includes the symbiosis between sculpture and painting.

With her first abstract work, she is currently immersed in the figurative representation of abyssal fish, which inhabit the depths of the oceans and seas, with a metaphorical intention and very personal conception.

“Nowadays, I am immersed in the theme of the ABYSSAL WORLD, representing it in various media (oils, watercolors, inks, clay).

The work Los ABISALES is not only a sample of beings from the abyss, it is a figurative and imaginary immersion that is used as a metaphor to get closer to our real world and explore sensations and states of mind that assail us in our daily reality. It is sometimes difficult to cope and that, and in many cases, it is necessary to face them with courage and equity, although it is almost never easy.

If you let yourself be carried away by an emotional journey through them, they are no longer perceived as such aggressive or threatening beings. ESPAÑOL Ana Lucía es una artista que, desde los 9 años, demostró su pasión por la pintura.

Actualmente tiene 14 años, manifiesta ya una gran fluidez y sensibilidad que se reflejan en su creación. Su trabajo normalmente se centra en la naturaleza humana y su representación, con un contenido emocional intenso que refleja un universo muy personal.

Con cierta influencia expresionista en su obra, Lucía muestra ojos vacíos sobre sus personajes, como una ventana al alma que hay dentro, que parece darnos la posibilidad de crear historias alrededor de cada cuadro.

“Soy hija de madre española y padre alemán. Descubrí mi pasión por la pintura cuando tenía 9 años. Para mí es importante expresar mis sentimientos y momentos interiores. En particular, la separación de mis queridos padres dejó en claro una confusión en mí. Pinto las cosas que no puedo expresar con palabras. Mi objetivo es ser cada vez más precisa y mostrar la vida en sus ricos colores y formas. De ahí mi persistente pasión por las culturas y países extranjeros. En las diferencias de costumbres y sus facetas humanas, me encuentro de nuevo, plasmar este “yo” en un lienzo me llena de paz.

Mis técnicas para crear las imágenes son tan variadas como su contenido.

Disfruto trabajando con pintura al óleo sobre lienzo. Me encanta la estructura de la superficie y los colores honestos.

Pero los dibujos al carboncillo y los trabajos con acrílico también se utilizan según el estado de ánimo y el tema del contenido de la imagen.

Creo mis pinturas y las pinturas creen a mí.

En todas estas respuestas encuentro mis preguntas, un universo sigue a otro, lo más humano en mí es resolver la siguiente respuesta.

Ver eso en las profundidades fue más difícil para los forasteros.

Solo puedo pasar iluminar allí, ellos mismos tienen que abrir los ojos.

Gracias a mis queridos padres, me siento viva y despierta en cada momento de mi vida.”

Lucia Heumann ENGLISH Ana Lucía is an artist who, from the age of nine, has shown her passion for painting.

She is currently 14 years old and already demonstrating a great fluidity and sensitivity that are reflected in her creations.

Her work is normally focused in human nature and its representation, with an intense emotional content and the reflection of a very personal universe.

With some expressionist influence in her work, Lucia shows empty eyes on her characters, showing us the soul inside that seems to give us the chance of creating stories around each painting.

“I am the daughter of a Spanish mother and a German father. I discovered my passion for painting when I was nine years old. For me it is important to express my feelings and inner moments. In particular, my dear parents’ separation created confusion in me. I paint the things that I cannot put into words. My goal is to be more and more precise and to show life in its rich colors and shapes. From there I get my persistent passion for foreign cultures and countries. In the differences of customs and their human facets, I find myself again; to capture “myself” on a canvas fills me with peace.

My techniques for creating the images are as varied as their content.

I enjoy working with oil paint on canvas. I love the surface structure and honest colors. But charcoal drawings and acrylic works are also used depending on the mood and theme of the image content.

I create my paintings and paintings create me.

In all these answers I find my questions, one universe follows another; the most human thing in me is to solve the following answer.

Seeing that in the depths was more difficult for outsiders.

I can only pass the lamp there; everyone has to open their eyes themselves.

ESPAÑOL María estudió en la Escuela de Artes Aplicadas de Burgos, posteriormente completó su formación en la New School of Social Research de Nueva York, finalmente continuó sus estudios de pintura con Amadeo Roca en Madrid. Se licenció en Bellas Artes, con especialización en pintura, en la universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Su galardonada muestra artística, ha dejado huella a nivel mundial por años, pasando por Suiza, EE.UU., España, Alemania, Italia e India. Actualmente expone en Berlín y Madrid.

María expresa en su obra un sentir muy profundo respecto al papel que juega la mujer en la realidad actual, su rol infravalorado, se proyecta en la estética femenina de sus mujeres de trazos cargados de sensibilidad.

Por otra parte, reivindica la necesidad de la defensa de los derechos y valores en la sociedad actual y los recalca en una obra llena de fortaleza e intensidad.

“Nací en Valencia, tierra de pintores, Manuel Benedito Vives gran retratista discípulo de Sorolla, fue tío abuelo mío, mundo de hombres. Me licencié en pintura tarde, pero como decía Goethe “Cuando tienes 60 años, todo comienza de nuevo”. Yo los he sobrepasado, y me va mucho mejor. Las mujeres deberíamos ser símbolo de la civilización, es inaudito lo que nos cuesta convencer en igualdad de condiciones siendo estas tan desiguales la mayoría de las veces, y si aún no lo hemos conseguido, es por falta de ayuda y apoyo entre nosotras. Como artista voy a defender, mientras me queden fuerzas, hasta la saciedad los valores de mi pintura, independientemente de mi condición femenina, tengo un temperamento fuerte y original, una inmensa sensibilidad artística, soy patológicamente emocional, paso de estados de felicidad a vivir tristezas hundida en la miseria, soy consciente de lo que me rodea, y para crear expresiones de lo de fuera, que expresen lo esencial, miro hacia dentro. Exteriores e interiores se unen en armonía para conseguir una interpretación libre de irrelevancia, aunque a veces resulte grotesca.”

María Aparici ENGLISH María studied at the School of Applied Arts in Burgos, later completing her training at the New School of Social Research in New York. She continued her painting studies with Amadeo Roca in Madrid and graduated in Fine Arts, specializing in painting at the Complutense University in Madrid.

Her award-winning artistic show has made its mark worldwide for years, passing through Switzerland, USA, Spain, Germany, Italy, and India. She currently exhibits in Berlin and Madrid.

In her work, María expresses a very deep feeling regarding the role that women play in today’s reality; her undervalued role is projected in the feminine aesthetics of her women with lines loaded with sensitivity.

On the other hand, it vindicates the need to defend rights and values in today’s society and emphasizes them in a work full of strength and intensity.

“I was born in Valencia, land of painters. Manuel Benedito Vives, great portraitist and disciple of Sorolla, was my great grand uncle, a world of men.

I got my painting degree late, but like Goethe said, “When you are 60, everything begins anew.” I have crossed that line and am much better for it.

We women should be symbols of civilization. It is unbelievable how much it costs us to convince under equal conditions when these are so unequal most of the time, and if we haven’t achieved it yet, it is due to the lack of help and support amongst ourselves.

As an artist I shall defend to the utmost, whilst I still have the strength, the values of my painting, independently of my female condition. I have a strong and original temperament, an immense artistic sensitivity, am pathologically emotional, alternating between states of happiness and living sadness drowned in misery. I am very conscious of my surroundings, and to create expressions of the outside, which describe the essential, I look inside.

Inside and outside unite in harmony in order to achieve an interpretation that is free of irrelevance, even if at times it turns out grotesque.”

La unión del tiempo, la acuarela, el dibujo, el collage, el color, así como el blanco y negro de la tinta china ha hecho que tenga un estilo muy diferenciado, incluso reconocible. Dibujar es una de mis pasiones que se convierte en ocasiones, en una expresión de mis estados anímicos…

Para vosotros, muchos de mis cuadros son un descubrimiento continuo, cada vez que los estudiéis con detenimiento, un elemento nuevo se os revelará, es un universo que os sumergirá en una búsqueda lúdica.”

ESPAÑOL Raquel es una artista nacida en Dmanisi, Georgia, que actualmente reside en Nueva York, Estados Unidos.

Desde muy joven expresó una notable rebelión al papel conservador y mutilador de las capacidades de las mujeres en la sociedad. Esto marcó en ella el inicio de lo que sería su expresión artística, y el contenido profundo y característico que llevan sus obras.

Representa en sus pinturas la imagen femenina ubicada en diversos escenarios, creando una complicidad con la sólida sensualidad que emanan, a través de líneas limpias y firmes. Presenta una fuerte energía empoderada, que deja atrás la típica y estereotipada imagen femenina. Cada una de sus creaciones, lleva consigo una parte de Raquel, que se entreteje íntimamente con elementos alejados de lo común que transmiten fuerza y seguridad. Algunas de sus obras se presentan sin nombre, invitando a la observación profunda, dando lugar a la imaginación.

“Mi nombre es Raquel Bernikova, nací en la ex Unión Soviética.

Desde muy joven me rebelé contra la domesticidad tradicional femenina y esto tuvo un gran impacto en mi estilo y visión de la mujer. “… A través de la desobediencia y rebelión, a la libertad de mi mente…” estas palabras mías, hablan a través de mis lienzos.

En una larga tradición de pintura, el desnudo femenino ha sido admirado y apreciado. Ha sido Madre Tierra, personificación de la naturaleza y la maternidad, fertilidad y creación. Y ella también ha sido humana, sensual y femenina.

Raquel Bernikova ENGLISH Raquel is an artist born in Dmanisi, Georgia, currently residing in New York, USA. From a young age, she expressed a notable rebellion to the conservative and mutilating role of women’s capacities in society. This marked in her the beginning of what would be her artistic expression, and the deep and characteristic content that her works carry.

She represents, through her paintings, the female image located in diverse scenarios, creating complicity with the solid sensuality that they emanate, through clean and firm lines, presenting a strong empowered energy, which leaves behind the typical and stereotyped female image. Each of her creations carries with them a part of Raquel, which is intimately woven together with elements that are far from the ordinary, and that transmit strength and security. Some of her works are presented without a name, inviting to deep observation, giving rise to imagination.

“My name is Raquel Bernikova; I was born in the former Soviet Union.

From a young age, I rebelled against traditional female domesticity and this had a great impact on my style and vision of women. “…Through disobedience and rebellion to freedom of my mind…” these words of mine speak through my canvases.

The long tradition of painting the female nude has been admired and appreciated. She has been Earth Mother, a personification of nature and motherhood, fertility and creation. And she has also been human and sensual, and feminine.

In my practice since 2013, I am showing a distinctive personal style that emanates beauty and expresses sensuality of feminity through paintings of women in different settings.

The most mesmerizing of my canvases show strong, sensual women and at the same time a gentle blend of classicism and avant-garde, the colors of which are tread of passion.

I derived a great inspiration from both Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele, as well as Renaissance paintings depicting goddesses from mythology.

Acrylic paint and the pallet knife are my favorite tools to create strong and wild feminine and expressive women. In each of my paintings I feel a sense of me. The body tells so much…

“Mi nombre es Xan Serantes, nací en La Coruña en mil novecientos cincuenta y cuatro, y desde hace más de cuarenta años resido en Tenerife, Islas Canarias, donde me realicé como artista y empresario.

Ante todo, me considero un Collagista que aplica técnicas mixtas en sus obras, las cuales, a veces, son complementadas con mis conocimientos de pintura. Parto de un elemento central y desde ahí mi siguiente objetivo es encontrar la armonía en el color para, posteriormente, establecer un diálogo con el espectador y contarle así qué clase de sentimientos tengo cuando mis manos están llenas de recortes y papeles viejos.

Normalmente me enfoco en lo que hago y en cómo me siento a la hora de realizar mis trabajos. Hago lo que hago porque me gusta, hago lo que hago principalmente para mí, aunque si alguien quiere ver las cosas desde mi punto de vista siempre le estaré muy agradecido. El collage puede transmitir infinidad de emociones en una pieza, por eso, cuando después de veinticinco años dedicado a la pintura al óleo descubrí el collage, me dije a mi mismo que no podía dejar de escapar la oportunidad de ser más genuino.”

Xan Serantes ENGLISH Xan Serantes is a Spanish artist who works in collage and painting. With exhibitions throughout Spain and Europe, his work is by itself a journey of diverse styles where the spontaneity and imagination of the artist are clearly manifested.

London, Edinburgh, Madrid, Tenerife… these are the places that have witnessed the vast work of this Galician artist.

With an endless production, his works are also full of color, wit, and retreat, thus inviting the viewer to participate in the ordered disorder of collage, completely changing their initial perspective.

“My name is Xan Serantes. I was born in La Coruña in 1954, and for more than forty years, I have resided in Tenerife, Canary Islands, where I became an artist and businessman.

First, I consider myself a Collagist who applies mixed techniques in his works, which, at times, are complemented with my knowledge of painting. I start from a central element and from there, my next goal is to find harmony in color to later establish a dialogue with the viewer and thus, tell them what kind of feelings I have when my hands are full of scraps and old papers.

I usually focus on what I do and how I feel when doing my jobs. I do what I do because I like it. I do what I do mainly for myself, although if someone wants to see things from my point of view I will always be very grateful. Collage can convey an infinite number of emotions in a piece, which is why, when I discovered Collage after twenty-five years dedicated to oil painting, I told myself that I could not miss the opportunity to be more genuine.”

Yohana desarrolla su trabajo desplegándose en una estrecha complicidad con colores intensos, patrones y aquello que exprese lo sublime y la alegría de vivir. Todo ello, combinado con la presencia de figuras atribuladas, que buscan manifestar el otro lado de la realidad.

Es el contraste de los elementos contenidos en su producción artística, lo que da como resultado una obra ambivalente, llena de colores que transmiten una nueva percepción de la luz y la oscuridad.

“Originaria de la Provenza, en el sur de Francia, he vivido y producido mis obras en París durante diez años.

Me enamoré de la pintura cuando era pequeña. Cuando era una colegiala de 6 o 7 años, me entregaron un pequeño lienzo y me encargaron copiar una obra de Vincent Van Gogh (Campo de trigo con ciprés). ¡Y fue el primero de una larga serie de pinturas! De ahí mi fascinación por este ilustre artista y mi pasión por los colores ricos e intensos. Entonces, durante mi adolescencia, hice mis escalas, comencé por copiar las obras maestras de los grandes maestros. Luego tomé lecciones de un modelo en vivo en los talleres de Bellas Artes de la ciudad de París. La fragilidad del hombre o la mujer desnudos, fue la fuente adicional de inspiración que me llevó al clic de mi propia impronta artística.

Con farándulas de colores, mis cuadros son afrutados y deliciosos y, sin embargo, no todo es tan rosado.

Los patrones y colores de las telas africanas o con patrones de cera me inspiran. Incluso algunas de mis obras están compuestas por ellos, porque utilizo lienzos que estiro sobre un marco. Para mí estos colores simbolizan la alegría de vivir.

Sobre esta base feliz, agrego rostros que a menudo lucen atormentados. Un día me criticaron “¿por qué siempre hay lágrimas en tus cuadros?” Y es cierto, mis cuadros parecen alegres a primera vista y luego notas algo que choca, un contraste. Ojos alucinados, calaveras calvas, lágrimas, monstruos, manos torcidas, y es este contraste el que me interesa, en fin, intento transcribir en mis cuadros la ambivalencia entre alegría y tristeza, vida y muerte, salud y enfermedad. “ Yohana Louis ENGLISH Born in Valence, France, Yohana is an artist deeply dedicated to art since the age of nine. “Originally from Provence, in the south of France, I have lived and produced my works in Paris for ten years.

I fell in love with painting when I was young. As a 6/7-year-old schoolgirl, I was handed a small canvas and tasked with copying a work by Vincent Van Gogh (Wheat Field with Cypress). It was the first in a long series of paintings!

Hence my fascination for this illustrious artist and my passion for rich and intense colors. During my teens, I made my scales, starting with copying the masterpieces of the great masters. Then I took lessons from a live model in the Fine Arts workshops in the city of Paris. The fragility of the naked man or woman was the additional source of inspiration that led me to the click of my own artistic imprint.

Farandoles of colors, my paintings are fruity and delicious and yet not everything is actually so pink.

The patterns and colors of African or wax-patterned fabrics inspire me. Some of my works are even composed by it because I use canvases that I stretch on a frame. For me these colors symbolize the joy of living.

On this happy basis, I add faces that are often tormented. One day they criticized me - “Why are there always tears in your paintings?” It’s true, my paintings seem cheerful at first glance and then you notice something that shocks, a contrast. Hallucinated eyes, bald skulls, tears, monsters, crooked hands, it is this contrast that interests me. In short, I try to transcribe in my paintings the ambivalence between joy and sadness, life and death, health and illness.”

Es un artista que ha dejado huella en el mundo artístico a lo largo de una vasta y galardonada carrera, que tiene sus inicios en 1977 y transcurre hasta la actualidad. Ha tenido exposiciones en diversos países, su obra está presente en EE.UU., México, República Dominicana, Alemania, España, (Louvre) Francia, Inglaterra, Hungría y Japón.

Vicente estudió Artes en la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, donde terminó los estudios como profesor de Dibujo.

Se licenció en pedagogía en el Instituto Ciencias de la Educación, y es director de la galería de Arte Eka & Moor, en Madrid, además de ser curador de arte, entre otros.

Vicente se desenvuelve en un plano híper realista con una marcada influencia del arte pop, al retratar objetos cotidianos en contextos grandilocuentes. Su obra es de línea fina y sólida, juega con los tramados de colores sólidos en consonancia con sombras e imágenes bien trabajadas.

«En mis obras contemplamos canicas de cristal, papel arrugado, pequeñas piedras, trozos de madera, cosas encontradas a la orilla del mar, modeladas por el paso del tiempo, por el aire y el agua, objetos que nos hablan de sus vivencias; realizadas sobre un fondo gris plano que contrasta con las texturas delicadas pintadas en estilo híper-realista. Este contraste se evidencia especialmente cuando pinto papel o tela arrugada, dividiendo el cuadro en dos áreas bien delimitadas, significan la dualidad del ser humano. Es mi manera poética y actual de representar el yin y el yang. La esfera o canica de cristal es un elemento que se encuentra en casi toda mi pintura, es el nexo de unión, y simboliza al ser humano en diferentes circunstancias. Vicente Herrero (Heca) ENGLISH Vicente Herrero is an artist born in Spain who has left his mark in the artistic world throughout a vast and award-winning artistic career. His work as an artist has its beginnings from 1977 to the present, exhibiting and with his work present in the U.S., Mexico, Dominican Republic, Palma de Mallorca, Germany, Spain, (Louvre) France, England, Hungary, and Japan.

Vicente studied Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where he finished his studies as a drawing professor, graduated in pedagogy at the Instituto Ciencias de la Educación, and is director of the Eka & Moor Art Gallery in Madrid, as well as being a curator of art, among others.

Vicente unfolds on a hyper-realistic plane with a marked influence of pop art, portraying everyday objects in grandiloquent contexts. His work is of fine and solid line, playing with the patterns of solid colors in line with shadows and well-worked images.

“In my works, we contemplate glass marbles, crumpled paper, small stones, pieces of wood, things found on the seashore, shaped by the passage of time, by air and water; objects that tell us about their experiences, made on a flat gray background that contrasts with the delicate painted textures in hyper-realistic style. This contrast is especially evident when I paint wrinkled paper or fabric, dividing the painting into two well-defined areas, signifying the duality of the human being. Oscila entre lo abstracto y figurativo, lo que le permite explorar la relación simbiótica entre la mente subconsciente y la producción artística. Logra de esta manera, establecer una conexión emocional con la audiencia, a través de un lenguaje visual peculiar y original que evoca mundos oníricos, metafísicos, rasgos infantiles combinados con la exploración del cuerpo humano, elementos naturales y temas sensuales. La inspiración de mi tema abarca una variedad de temas, cualquier cosa que me conmueva, me inspire y con lo que me conecte profundamente.

Mi proceso creativo fluctúa entre el flujo subconsciente de imágenes y la ejecución estructurada. Hay un tango entre lo que dejo fluir y lo que conscientemente elijo representar.

Mi intención es dejar que el observador forme su propio diálogo con la obra de arte y lo experimente con el mayor grado de libertad.

Algunos de mis temas recurrentes son las huellas del zeitgeist, la integración de opuestos, paradojas, naturaleza y biodiversidad, figuras humanas distorsionadas, identidad de género, alienación. Este año 2020 ha impulsado mi mensaje sobre cómo transmutar el miedo, el dolor y la pérdida a través del poder del arte, el corazón y la belleza. # pain2power es el hilo conductor constante que he encontrado en la historia y en la creación de arte, ya que de las heridas más profundas del individuo y lo colectivo parecen brotar los dones más brillantes y como la belleza aumentada parece ser el antídoto para una sociedad que alimenta el miedo y la dualidad. El arte siempre ha sido y ahora es más que nunca un recordatorio de lo que realmente significa ser humano”.

Elisa Rossi ENGLISH Elisa is an Italian artist based in Los Angeles who studied artistic education and classical piano in her hometown of Carpi since she was five years old. Her work has left its mark all over the world, exhibiting in Los Angeles, Miami, and Hong Kong.

Currently represented by the Wönzimer Gallery in Los Angeles and the ATO gallery in New York, she develops her expressive work with various elements (oil, acrylic, charcoal, pastels), fluctuating between abstract and figurative, which she uses to explore the symbiotic relationship between the subconscious mind and artistic production, establishing an emotional connection with the audience, through a peculiar and original visual language that evokes dreamlike, metaphysical worlds, childish traits combined with the exploration of the human body, natural elements and sensual themes. Paradox and synesthesia drive her creative flow, as she can’t separate the process of painting from music.

“As an artist I like to experiment with different mediums and to explore both abstraction of figures and representation of figure.

ESPAÑOL Con una extensa trayectoria artística, Esther Tenedor, es una artista española que ha presentado su obra en un sinfín de exposiciones individuales y colectivas en España, Italia y China, además podemos encontrar su obra en colecciones de importantes instituciones y universidades de Barcelona, Cádiz, Valencia, Galicia, Winchester, Roma y hasta el Vaticano.

Con una trayectoria de técnicas variadas, su obra tiene influencia del Realismo Mágico, con toques impresionistas, tomando como temática principal la reivindicación de la mujer y su importancia, irradiando fuerza, empoderamiento y calma. Exploró una fase surrealista, en un inicio. Además de la pintura, se desenvuelve también en un plano escultórico, haciendo uso de la terracota, el hierro y el bronce como medios de creación.

Esther busca crear un íntimo vínculo con el espectador, y que éste pueda percibir el sentir de alegría, paz y calma que tiene la artista al momento de componer su obra artística.

“Soy una artista multifacética o eso dicen porque utilizo múltiples técnicas y materiales para crear mi obra sobre un papel, un lienzo, una tela, u otra superficie en el caso de mis pinturas. También aplico múltiples técnicas como el óleo, el acrílico o la acuarela.

En cambio en la escultura puedo crear obras usando barro, terracota, hierro y bronce.

Siempre estoy abierta a lo que sucede a mí alrededor y me impregno de ello, transmitiendo esas sensaciones a mis creaciones, ya sean pinturas o esculturas.

Mis obras son creadas con la única intención de transmitir y conectar con la persona que las contemple y de esa manera conseguir un diálogo bidireccional entre ellos y yo.

El arte y mi obra pictórica y escultórica son el canal para transmitir mi verdad y mi agradecimiento a todos, al poder trabajar en mi verdadera pasión que es la creación, el arte de poder transmitir mi espiritualidad, mi calma, mi fuerza, mi alegría y todas esas sensaciones positivas que son tan necesarias para nuestra vida.

Por eso aunque mi inquietud y mi afán de comunicar me llevan a explorar continuamente nuevas técnicas artísticas, siempre mi único deseo es, que al contemplar mi obra cualquier espectador o espectadora, capte al menos una sensación o le provoque una reflexión o simplemente una sonrisa.”

Works created with the sole intention of transmitting and connecting with the person who contemplates them and thus achieving a two-way dialogue between them and me.

Art and my pictorial and sculptural work is the channel to transmit my truth and my gratitude to everyone, by being able to work on my true passion which is creation, the art of being able to transmit my spirituality, my calm, my strength, my joy and all those positive feelings that are so necessary for our life.

ESPAÑOL Jenzi nació en Montana, Estados Unidos. Es una artista abstracta con un profundo amor por el arte desde muy temprana edad. El arte forma un papel fundamental en su día a día, desarrollándose cada vez más sentimentalmente y revelando el alma de la artista.

Al haberse desenvuelto en diferentes escenarios de creación y enseñanza artística, Jenzi, fue descubriendo planos novedosos sobre el arte, y su alcance en distintas situaciones de la vida como medio de desahogo, como medio terapéutico, y hasta de cualidades curativas.

La artista desarrolla su obra sin límites ni técnicas específicas, dando rienda suelta a su creatividad y expresión artísticas sin fin. Lo que da como resultado piezas no sólo únicas, sino cargadas de un pedazo del alma de la artista en cada una de ellas. Son una invitación al espectador a un mundo surreal y hermoso, que deja impregnadas la alegría, la creatividad y el manejo fluido de sus trazos perfectamente armonizados con sus colores.

«Desde temprana edad, el arte ha sido parte integral de mi vida. Creo que el arte es la expresión más pura del alma, elegí esta como mi plataforma. Crear arte y enseñar a niños con trauma emocional en los albergues infantiles Intermoutain Childrens Home y Florence Crittenon Home en mi ciudad natal de Helena (Montana) me mostró el valor de los aspectos curativos de las artes. Al utilizar el proceso creativo del arte, te transformas, al igual que un lienzo en blanco, en una obra de arte.

Inspirar esta chispa de alegría en otro y hacer del mundo un lugar más hermoso es lo que hago con cada proyecto que emprendo. Así participé en funciones artísticas caritativas, como en el Festival de los árboles en Helena que ocurre cada invierno, mis diseños fueron subastados y las ganancias se destinaron a mejorar mi comunidad.

Mi pasión por destacar las artes creativas y los beneficios que brindan me llevó a muchos empleos artísticos diferentes. Fui profesora de arte de pequeñas clases e incluso realicé el diseño de escaparates. Todos los aspectos de mi sustento se han centrado en el objetivo de compartir mi pasión por la expresión artística.

La pintura ha sido una experiencia completamente diferente y nueva. Aunque solo he explorado el medio de la pintura por un corto tiempo, ha transformado mi proceso de arte en sí. La pintura se ha convertido en una expresión aún más abierta de mí misma. Cada cuadro está hecho con sentimiento. No utilizo ninguna técnica o planificación establecida. Es pura pasión y expresión. Para mí es la forma de arte más honesta.”

Jenzi ENGLISH Jenzi, born in Helena, Montana, United States, is an abstract artist with a deep love for art, which began from an early age. Art forms a fundamental role in her day-to-day life, developing more and more sentimental and revealing the soul of the artist.

Having developed in different scenarios of artistic creation and teaching, Jenzi was discovering novel planes about art, and its scope in different life situations, as a source of relief, therapeutic means, and for its healing qualities.

The artist develops her work without limits or specific techniques, giving free rein to her creativity and endless artistic expression, resulting in pieces that are not only unique, but also loaded with a piece of the artist’s soul in each one of them, inviting the viewer to a surreal and beautiful world, which leaves joy, creativity, and fluid handling impregnated of her strokes, perfectly harmonized with its colors.

“From an early age, art has been an integral part of my life. Believing art to be the purest expression of one’s soul, I chose this to be my platform. Creating art for and teaching children with emotional trauma from Intermountain Children’s Home and Florence Crittenon Home in my hometown of Helena, Montana, showed me the value of the arts’ healing aspects. By using the creative process of art, you are transformed, much like a blank canvas into a work of art.

To inspire this spark of joy in another, and make the world a more beautiful place, is what I do with every project I take on. By participating in charitable art functions, such as the Festival of Trees in Helena every winter, I was able to see my designs auctioned off and the proceeds go to the community around me.

My passion to shine a spotlight on the creative arts, and the benefits they give, led me to many different artistic employments. From an art teacher of small classes to designing storefronts, all aspects of my livelihood have been focused on the goal of sharing my passion of artistic expression.

Painting has been a whole other, and new, experience. While only having explored the medium of painting for a short while, it has transformed my process of art itself. Painting has become an even more open expression of myself. Every painting is done with feeling. I don’t use any set techniques or planning. It is pure passion and expression. For me, the most honest form of art.”

“Soy Katerina Sikharulidze, artista autodidacta nacida en Georgia.

Pinto desde que tengo recuerdos. En mis inicios solo pintaba con lápiz y carboncillo, pero hace algunos años establecí mi residencia permanente en Barcelona y mi nueva vida me inspiró para experimentar artísticamente con la pintura acrílica, el óleo y la expresión del color.

“I’m Katerina Sikharulidze, a Georgia-born self-taught artist.

I have been painting for as long as I have memories. In my early days, I only painted with pencil and charcoal, but a few years ago, I established my permanent residence in Barcelona and my new life inspired me to artistically experiment with acrylic paint, oil, and the expression of color.

Interested in all themes, I started with abstract painting and dark colors due to the need to express feelings from the past.

Later, my style evolved towards more defined paintings, expressing joy and love in a look towards a future full of light.

ESPAÑOL Miki Alloza es un artista español, reside en Barcelona. Su pasión por el arte lo ha acompañado desde que era tan sólo un niño. Entonces solía llevar siempre consigo como extensión de si mismo algún bolígrafo o lapicera, que sería el medio para expresar su inquietud artística sobre cualquier papel en blanco que se le presentara.

No fue hasta el año 2020 que la continuidad de su producción artística se afincó en su vida, volviéndose su actividad usual. Es también en este año, que de desarrollarse artísticamente en un plano monocromo, migró a los colores vivos e intensos. Logró así una unión y estilo que, a pesar de tener influencias surrealistas y de cubismo, es excepcional en su tipo, que actúa como una radiografía propia del interior del artista.

Se desenvuelve en la propuesta de rostros surrealistas, con gestos y rasgos extremos y teatrales, perfectamente armonizados con la paleta de colores que los acompañan.

“Mi nombre es Miguel. Me crié en un pequeño pueblo de la provincia de Teruel, llamado Cañizar del Olivar hasta los 14 años que nos trasladamos a Zaragoza. En 2019 me mudé a Barcelona, donde resido actualmente.

Desde bien pequeño, siempre he estado con un bolígrafo en la mano, garabateando y haciendo dibujos. Pero es en 2020, cuando más tiempo he dedicado a pintar, perfeccionar y mostrar mis dibujos, dando a conocer mi estilo en las redes sociales.

Mi arte tiene tintes de cubismo y surrealismo, pero es un estilo totalmente personal.

Me abstraigo de tal manera, que plasmo mis pensamientos y sentimientos de la mejor forma que sé: la pintura.

Cuando comienzo a dibujar, nunca tengo nada premeditado, nos encontramos el papel en blanco y yo, y dejo fluir mi mente en cada trazo.

Desde mis inicios, los dibujos siempre los he realizado en blanco y negro, pero desde principios de 2020, he incorporado color a muchos de ellos.

El material utilizado, son láminas de papel y rotuladores acrílicos, usando una gran variedad de colores vivos y alegres.

El tema principal de mis obras son los rostros. La “culpa” de ello, podría ser la influencia que tuvieron la gran cantidad de cómics leídos durante mi infancia y adolescencia”.

Miki Alloza ENGLISH Miki Alloza is a Spanish artist based in Barcelona, who has been accompanied by a passion for art since he was just a child, always carrying a pen or pencil as his extension, which would be his means of expressing his artistic concern over any blank paper that came his way.

It wasn’t until 2020 that the continuity of his artistic creations took hold in his life, becoming his regular activity. From developing artistically in a monochrome plane, he migrates to vivid and intense colors, achieving a union and style that, despite having surrealist and cubism influences, is exceptional in its kind, acting as an X-ray typical of the artist’s interior.

“My name is Miguel. I grew up in a small town in the province of Teruel, called Cañizar del Olivar, until I was 14 years old when we moved to Zaragoza. In 2019, I moved to Barcelona, where I currently reside.

From a very young age, I have always been with a pen in hand, scribbling and drawing pictures. But it was in 2020, when I dedicated more time to painting, perfecting and displaying my drawings, and making my style known on social networks.

My art has tinges of cubism and surrealism, but it is a totally personal style.

I abstract myself in such a way that I express my thoughts and feelings in the best way I know how—painting.

When I start to draw, I never have anything premeditated. I find the blank paper and I let my mind flow in each stroke.

Since my beginnings, I always made drawings in black and white, but since the beginning of 2020, I have added color to many of them.

The materials used are sheets of paper and acrylic markers, using a wide variety of bright and cheerful colors.

The main theme of my works is faces. The “fault” of this could be the influence of the large number of comics read during my childhood and adolescence.”

ESPAÑOL Paola Cabrera es una artista boliviana que actualmente vive en California, Estados Unidos. Como graduada de Bellas Artes en la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés en La Paz, Bolivia, comenzó a producir obras de arte esculpidas y cerámicas desde su primer año. Luego creó varias piezas de arte como el monumento del Sagrado Corazón de Cristo para la Iglesia Carismática Católica, a su vez realizó exposiciones individuales y colectivas.

Entre la diversidad de su estilo artístico y el uso de diferentes medios, predomina la importancia de la naturaleza y sus planes ecológico-ambientalistas. Emplea diversos materiales, desarrolla arte con materiales reciclados, alimenta así aún más la esencia de su obra expresionista-abstracta. Presenta escenas sin forma definida y plagadas de un tinte que obedece su tierra y a la cultura andina.

“Originaria del corazón de América del Sur, continuamente investigué diversos medios y su interrelación con la naturaleza, la diversidad, el color y la invención. Estudié el reciclaje desde su forma original a las formas abstractas, enfaticé su carácter y elementos de carácter emocional, desarrollé así un amor por lo desconocido.

En un lenguaje simple, tengo la intención de mostrar una parte importante de mi cultura y mi experiencia en diferentes tierras.

Paola Cabrera ENGLISH Paola Cabrera is a Bolivian artist currently living in California, United States. As a graduate of fine arts at Universidad mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, Bolivia, she started producing sculpted and ceramic works of art as a freshman. She then created several art pieces like the monument of the sacred heart of Christ for the Catholic Charismatic Church and had several solo and collective exhibitions.

Among the diversity of her artistic style and use of different media, the importance of nature and its ecologicalenvironmentalist plans predominates. Among various materials, she develops art with recycled materials, further feeding the essence of her Abstract Expressionist work, and presenting scenes without a defined shape and plagued with a tint that obeys the Andean land and culture.

Bajo una esencia de exploración infinita, el artista se expresa desde lo más profundo a través del arte. “Oeroek es un personaje de mi libro infantil favorito.

Vive en una pequeña isla donde se encuentra atrapado, hasta que descubre que el océano que lo rodea puede ser el lugar donde puede ser libre. Cuando da el salto al agua es cuando encuentra su nuevo hogar; un mundo nuevo e interminable para explorar. Un mundo lleno de sorpresas y posibilidades.

Para mí, este nuevo mundo sin fin fue descubierto cuando comencé a explorar los otros estados de conciencia. Con ella vino la necesidad de expresarme a través del dibujo y la pintura.

El proceso creativo de hacer arte es un proceso de ordenar el caos, un reflejo de mi mundo interior, traducido al jugar con líneas, formas y figuras.

En los patrones y la naturaleza, encuentro inspiración y, por lo tanto, la madera que uso como base para mi obra de arte es natural. Ninguna pintura es igual y el resultado puede variar de una forma más abstracta a una figurativa, o una combinación. Sin saber realmente lo que va a mostrar mi pintura, siempre se siente bien dejarlo salir.

Me gusta la idea de que el espectador tenga su propia interpretación a mi trabajo y deje que mis pinturas los atrapen por más de un segundo y tal vez incluso los deje perderse por un tiempo.

ESPAÑOL Ramona es rumana de nacimiento. Desarrolla su trabajo desde un plano de fluidez espiritual, donde el corazón y las emociones pueden hacer más, dirige sus trazos en una danza muy profunda y personal que actúa como vía de escape a cualquier realidad habitual.

Ramona Ciuca ENGLISH Ramona is Romanian by birth, and develops her work from a plane of spiritual fluidity, where the heart and emotions can do more, directing her strokes in a very deep and personal dance that acts as a means of escape from any usual reality.

The artist presents in her work a range of styles that always surprise, and do not give rise to the obvious, but rather to the spontaneity of what her feelings want to express at the moment; dialoguing with opposite colors, and styles that together create a harmony that flows perfectly, between each element and tonality that contains it.

The content of her work does not seek to follow the same line of rationality, but ends up having all the meaning that can be sought when observing it.

“ART would be a journey and an opening to a reality, to a separate dimension, a unique experience for the intellect.

To talk about paintings and art in general, you need a vocabulary that comes from the imagination to describe, analyze, and interpret what you are seeing.

Thinking about the correct words expressed through emotions becomes easier the more artistic terms you know, which is where this library of colors takes shape.

“La fascinación por el arte me acompañó desde mis primeros años hasta la actualidad, y es el amor y la admiración lo que me enseñó a crear mi arte y a expresarme, ya que no tengo formación profesional. Soy una artista autodidacta que hace arte para expresar los sentimientos más profundos y compartirlos con el mundo.

Me ha encantado enviar mis obras de arte al extranjero, a Michigan (EE. UU.), por ejemplo, donde muestran con orgullo mis creaciones. Todavía no he logrado un gran avance, pero compartirlo aquí con ustedes es una gran oportunidad y una bendición.

Como les dije, encuentro mi creación como una forma de autoexpresión, contando historias de mi mente a través de un pincel; es posible que mi arte sea fuertemente abstracto, ya que encaja muy bien con el estilo. Mi inspiración proviene de otras formas de arte como la música y la cinematografía, pero, por otro lado, de las dificultades de la vida cotidiana y los acontecimientos mundiales, que no siempre son positivos.

En Misery, no hay escapatoria de los ojos victimarios y el caos: las obras de arte muestran los efectos de la sociedad, la tragedia personal y la vida implacable en la mente. Usé un enfoque más agresivo para mostrar la intensidad del conflicto entre el hombre y la mente.

En mi otro trabajo llamado Buenas noches, adiós: perecemos, o más fácilmente llamado Contaminación, quiero que se introduzca el problema de la contaminación plástica de nuestro único hogar: el planeta Tierra. No usé solo la pintura para crear esto, sino también piezas de plástico para llamar la atención sobre la existencia de contaminación de este material a nuestro alrededor, incluso en nuestra vida cotidiana.

Aunque el arte fuera negativo en sí mismo, quiero crear conciencia haciendo algo muy cercano a nuestras almas, y eso vale la pena compartirlo.”

Michaela Fecková ENGLISH Michaela Fecková had an artistic talent from a very young age, helping to develop her art to become the virtuous and self-taught artist that she is today.

Mainly abstract, her works can be located across Europe and the U.S.A. It is loaded with social messages, criticizing the dark side of our society and the conflict between people and our minds, creating awareness of it.

The life and intensity in her baroque creations show us chaotic scenes that force us to look carefully, searching for the dialogue and the underlying meaning.

“My fascination with art has accompanied me through my early years to today, and it’s the love and admiration that taught me how to create my art and self-express myself since I have no professional training. I am a self-taught artist making art to express the deepest feelings and sharing them with the world.

I’ve been happy to send my artworks overseas - to Michigan (US), where they proudly show my creations. I have not yet made a breakthrough but sharing it here with you is a huge opportunity and a blessing.

As I told you, I find my creation as a form of self-expression, telling stories of my mind through a paintbrush. You might find my art very abstract as it fits the style very well. My inspiration comes from other art forms like music and cinematography but, on the other hand, from daily life’s hardships and world events, which aren’t always positive.

In “Misery,” there is no escape from the victimizing eyes and chaos - artwork shows the effects of society, personal tragedy, and the unforgiving life on one’s mind. I used a more aggressive approach to show the intensity of the conflict between man and mind.

In my other work called “Goodnight, Goodbye: We Perish” - or more easily called “Pollution,” I want to introduce you to the problem of plastic pollution of our only home - planet Earth. I didn’t use only paint for creating this, but also plastic pieces to draw attention to the existence of plastic pollution around us - even in our everyday lives.

Even if the art is itself negative, I want to raise awareness by making something very close to our souls - and that’s worth sharing.”

“Aunque siempre he sido un individuo artístico y creativo, no fue hasta que comencé a sufrir los efectos del trastorno de estrés postraumático en el que incurría mientras servía como soldado de carrera en el ejército de los EE. UU. que comencé a crear en serio. La pintura fue mi medio inicial y fue un medio de auto terapia / tratamiento para mi trastorno.

James Gianforti ENGLISH James Gianforti is an American artist currently based in North Carolina, United States.

The artistic desire was always part of his life. However, it was the experiences lived in flesh during his career as a soldier in the army of his country for which he served that unleashed a new artistic plane within him, even as a therapy that would start a creative journey, which is far from the usual, and results in a very personal and special work in its composition.

James creates a dialogue between the unusual and content loaded with intense and contrasting colors, exposing creations that are loaded with content, in ways that invite a step into the particular world and mind, in which the artist’s concerns inhabit.

“Although I have always been an artistic and creative individual, it was not until I began to suffer the effects of PTSD incurred while serving as a career soldier in the U.S. Army that I began to create in earnest. Painting was my initial medium and was a means of self-therapy/treatment for my disorder.

My art is largely informed by the absurdity of modern American life as well as my unhealthy preoccupation with my mortality. I often paint with little thought, allowing subconscious forces drive my hands as I choose colors and move paint across my canvas. I seek to challenge the commonly held art ideal in a manner that represents the perceived world around us in an abstracted, primitive, and expressive manner that speaks more to our subconscious than to our eyes. ESPAÑOL Nació en La Paz, Bolivia. Sharon es una artista plástica afro boliviana que cuenta con un gran recorrido de estudios y especializaciones en el ámbito artístico y educación superior. Obtuvo la licenciatura en la carrera de Artes UMSA (2008), fue becaria del programa de inglés Martin Luther King de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Bolivia (2010). Realizó diplomados especializándose en Curaduría de Arte (2013), en Violencias Estructurales en la Universidad Salesiana (2017), y en Educación Superior: Organización y Administración Pedagógica del Aula en la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (2020). Actualmente está cursando un posgrado de especialización en Estudios Afroamericanos y Caribeños.

Ha sido parte de exposiciones grupales e individuales en su país los últimos nueve años. Además ha sido invitada a participar en el Programa de Liderazgo de Visitantes Internacionales, a dar una conferencia en TEDx Talks en la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés y a ser parte de diferentes actividades en plataformas virtuales como Women Techmarker para Google Android Bolivia.

“Mi arte está motivado por la pasión en la promoción y valoración de los derechos del pueblo afro boliviano, siendo éste el motor creativo de mis obras. Intervengo muebles, puertas y ventanas con retratos pintados sobre metal que permiten generar espejos afrobolivianos que miran al mundo.

Mis exposiciones tienen la característica de ser proyectos de investigación que muestran diferentes temáticas de cultura e historia afro boliviana lo que genera un acercamiento con el espectador, invitándolo a ser parte de las instalaciones y acciones performáticas creando una experiencia diferente, lo que me ha permitido ser parte de diferentes conversatorios y charlas.

Sharon Pérez ENGLISH Born in La Paz, Bolivia, Sharon is an Afro-Bolivian plastic artist who has a long history of studies and specializations in the artistic field and higher education. Having obtained a Bachelor of Arts in UMSA (2008), she was also a fellow of the program of English Martin Luther King from the United States Embassy in Bolivia (2010). She completed diplomas in art curating (2013), in structural violence at the Salesiana University (2017), and in Higher Education Organization and Pedagogical Administration of the Classroom at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (2020). “My art is motivated by passion in the promotion and appreciation of the rights of the Afro-Bolivian people, this being the creative engine of my works. Mi estilo se caracteriza por esta mezcla particular de técnicas donde el blanco y negro al ser contrastados con colores vivos representan las dualidades que convergen y dialogan en un mismo espacio.

El proceso de mis cuadros es un trabajo de milímetro a milímetro, donde cada línea y cada punto juegan un papel primordial.

A través de la pintura busco encontrar belleza en momentos de crisis y luz en el dolor.

Encontré en el arte la mejor manera que tengo para expresarme, es por esto que la mayor parte de mis exposiciones son autobiográficas, relatan momentos muy personales con mucho sentimiento. La magia está en ese instante donde el espectador llega a identificarse con la obra y a sentirla propia.

A mi parecer, es ahí donde está el verdadero valor del arte, cuando lo tuyo se vuelve de los demás.”

Su búsqueda de adaptación a nuevos entornos, la causó ciertas inquietudes y el sentimiento de no pertenencia. Llevar una vida nómada era emocionante, pero tenía sus propios desafíos.

El lado positivo: le permitió tener un espacio para reflexionar, hacer una introspección y explorar partes de sí misma que ve en su arte. Es una artista autodidacta que trabaja con acrílicos, óleos y técnica mixta. Ha expuesto en varios países como India, Omán, Inglaterra, Perú y Chile.

Algunas de sus obras se han publicado en revistas y un libro de no-ficción. Sus pinturas también forman parte del libro de Arte Global 2020. Cada año trabaja una nueva serie de pinturas y crea una colección diferente en torno a un nuevo concepto.

“Creo que detrás de cada rostro hay una historia. Una historia de nuestro yo. Una historia de nuestro viaje interno y externo. Historias de nuestras vidas, de nuestras experiencias, nuestras emociones. Historias de nuestro mundo.

Nuestras memorias.

El arte llega a nuestro subconsciente y encuentra su camino a través de colores, líneas, marcas, formas, símbolos, todos contando nuestra historia. Nos libera, eleva e inspira al final.

Mi viaje por el arte me ha permitido evolucionar. Me ha permitido expresar mis sentimientos; miedos, triunfos, tristezas, angustias y todas las demás cualidades que me hacen humana.

Esta es una transformación en curso. Me siento como una mariposa saliendo lentamente de un capullo. Liberada más de las limitaciones autoimpuestas, con cada fecha que pasa. Expreso historias inspirándome en experiencias personales.

Me inspiran los escritos de Freud y Jung, y la cotidianeidad de la vida que invoca mi imaginación. Ahora vivo en Mumbai, India”.

Gaurangi Mehta Shah ENGLISH Gaurangi believes that the eyes are the windows to our soul, and she paints what she sees through her window. She has lived and travelled extensively for more than 11 years outside India, facing constant changes and uncertainties.

Trying to adapt to new environments had brought about certain anxieties and the feeling of not belonging. A nomadic life was exciting, but had its own challenges. The positive side – it allowed her the space to reflect, introspect, and explore parts of herself, which she is seeing in her art. She is a self-taught artist that works with acrylics, oil paints, and mixed media. She has exhibited in several countries like India, Oman, England, Peru, and Chile.

Some of her works have been published in magazines and a non-fiction book. Her paintings are also part of Global Art Book 2020. Every year she works a new series of paintings and creates a different collection of painting around a new concept.

“I believe that behind every face is a story. A story of our self. A story of our internal and external journey. Stories of our lives, our experiences, our emotions. Stories of our world. Our memories.

Art taps into our subconscious and finds its way out through colours, lines, marks, forms, symbols, all telling the story of us. It liberates, uplifts, and inspires us in the end. My journey in art has allowed me to evolve. It has allowed me to express my feelings of fears, triumphs, sorrow, anxiety, and all the other qualities that make me human.

This is an ongoing transformation. I feel like a butterfly slowly coming out of a cocoon. Freed more from self-imposed constraints, with each passing date. I express stories drawing inspiration from personal experiences.

I am inspired by writings of Freud and Jung, and the ordinariness of life that invokes my imagination. Now I live in Mumbai, India.”

ESPAÑOL Artista panameña, Sari estudió arte desde sus tempranos 8 años, edad en la que recibió su primera mención honorífica en una competencia artística. Con el pasar de los años, los galardones se fueron (y siguen) multiplicando. La artista culminó también sus estudios con una Licenciatura en Bellas Artes de Texas A&M University Kingsville Texas (BFA) y una Maestría en Psicología Educativa de Framingham State College.

Alterno a su producción artística, Saribel imparte sus conocimientos en el área como educadora en Programas de Arte Avanzados.

Es la alegría de sus enseñanzas, la experiencia de una vida artística, y su amor por la naturaleza, que dejan al descubierto un trabajo no sólo maduro, sino que expresa una clara danza fluida entre colores, movimientos y huella cultural en su obra, la que propone un auténtico viaje de exploración visual difícil de pasar de largo, o de borrar de la mente.

“Plasmo sobre el lienzo un reflejo de la naturaleza combinando una paleta de colores vibrantes que refleja mi rica mezcla de culturas (estoy inspirada e influenciada por mis raíces mexicana, alemana, panameña y española). Me transporto usando la naturaleza como base de inspiración, luego me gusta jugar con las sombras, las luces y el movimiento, creo imágenes y figuras que reflejan una realidad distinta para cada persona que observa la obra.”

Sari Holland ENGLISH Panamanian artist, Saribel, studied art since she was eight years old, the age at which she received her first honorable mention in artistic competition. Over the years, the awards have multiplied (and continue to). The artist also completed her studies with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Texas A&M University, Kingsville, Texas, and a Master of Educational Psychology from Framingham State College.

Alternate to her artistic production, Saribel imparts her knowledge in the area as an educator in Advanced Art Programs.

It is the joy of her teachings, the experience of a life of art, and her love for nature, which reveal a work that is not only matured, but also expresses her clear fluid dance between colors, movements, and cultural imprint on her work, proposing a true journey of visual exploration difficult to pass by, or to erase from the mind.

“I capture on canvas, a reflection of nature combining a vibrant color palette that reflects my rich mix of cultures (I am inspired and influenced by my Mexican, German, Panamanian, and Spanish roots). I transport myself using nature as a base for inspiration, then I like to play with shadows, lights, and movement, creating images and figures that reflect a different reality for each person who observes the work.”

ESPAÑOL Después de graduarse de la universidad, John se unió a una empresa de radiodifusión y ha creado numerosos programas de entretenimiento y de música K-pop.

Sin embargo, no siempre estuvo satisfecho con su trabajo; el diseño de producción de televisión, siempre tiene que luchar contra la presión presupuestal y la programación, lo que eventualmente lo llevó al agotamiento creativo y la pérdida de voluntad.

Finalmente, encontró una solución a este problema, y fue el dibujo lo que lo llevo a crear arte desde otra perspectiva.

Como diseñador de producción de televisión, siempre se enfrentó al límite de la expresión. Pero como artista, demuestra un plano de imaginación ilimitada a través del dibujo sin restricciones, sin barreras. Su trabajo de collage se basa principalmente en el dibujo a lápiz, donde reúne numerosos dibujos para finalmente lograr una síntesis en una sola obra, pero esto no quiere decir que ese sea el acabado final, ya que cada elemento se puede agregar o quitar en cualquier momento, dejando incluso, un nuevo diseño, totalmente transformado.

Actualmente, el artista trabaja como diseñador y escenógrafo para producciones televisivas, con cerca de 15 años de experiencia en el campo.

Así, el dibujo en su vida, actúa también como el motor que le permite combinar su faceta profesional con su lado artístico.

“Mi trabajo es como el universo. Puede expandirse infinitamente y nunca se completará. Solo el nacimiento y la extinción se repiten, solo cambia la composición de la existencia.

El dibujo a lápiz no está limitado por tiempo y lugar. En cualquier momento y en cualquier lugar que desee puedo crear una obra de arte con papel y lápiz.

Y cada dibujo se pega a la pared de mi estudio y pasa a formar parte del universo hecho de collage.

Tengo un nuevo sueño, el de expresar la cosmovisión creada por mis dibujos a través de dramas de televisión o películas. En ese sentido, el director de cine de Hollywood Tim Burton es mi gran modelo a seguir. Es un director competente, artista y un gran diseñador de producción.”

John Choi Km ENGLISH After graduating from college, John joined a broadcasting company and has designed numerous entertainment programs and K-pop music shows.

However, he was not always satisfied with his work; TV production design always has to fight budget and schedule pressures, which eventually led to creative burnout and loss of will.

Finally, he found a solution to this problem, and it was drawing—creating art from another perspective.

As a TV production designer, he always faced a limit to expression, and as mentioned earlier, fights against budget and time.

However, as an artist, he demonstrates a plane of unlimited imagination through drawing without restrictions, without limits.

His collage work is mainly based on pencil drawing, where he brings together numerous drawings for synthesis in a single work, although this does not mean that it is the final finish, since each element can be added or removed at any time, leaving even a new design, totally transformed.

Currently, the artist works as a TV production designer, with about 15 years of experience in the field.

Thus, the drawing in his life also acts as the engine that allows him to live as a television production designer.

He currently works as a set designer for TV dramas.

“My work is like the universe. It can expand endlessly, and it will never be completed. Only birth and extinction repeat, only the composition of existence changes.

Pen drawing is not limited by time and place. Anytime, anywhere I want, I can create a piece of art with a pen and paper.

Each drawing is attached to the wall of my studio and becomes a part of the universe made of collage.

I have a new dream. It is to express the worldview created by my drawings through TV dramas or movies. In that sense, Hollywood film director Tim Burton is my great role model. He is a competent director, artist, and a great production designer.”

ESPAÑOL Matina Vossou nació y se crío en Atenas, Grecia. Es una hábil artista que se desenvuelve en varios campos.

Estudió Teología en la Universidad de Atenas, y además de la pintura, se dedicó a la escritura, habiendo publicado en 2018, en Grecia, su obra de teatro «La nada de la gente» una comedia distópica y alegórica.

Como pintora, Matina es una artista autodidacta. Su obra está conformada por un lienzo colorido con rostros inusuales, dejando atrás la clásica ilustración de la piel humana, para expresar algo mucho más profundo mediante el uso de colores y formas perfectamente armonizados. La observación detallada en cada una de las partes de sus cuadros abre un extenso camino de percepciones y análisis de su peculiar obra, una exploración de los sentidos.

“Cada rostro es un viaje. Probablemente mirar rostros será el viaje más largo que jamás haremos.

Cada color es una emoción. Lo que sentimos es el único presente que conocemos y por eso definimos nuestras vidas.

Pinto rostros con postigos en diminutos pedazos de colores, sin la protección de su piel socialmente aceptada; congelados en un momento de la verdad que es necesario para que nos presentemos.

Acrílicos y un palillo, la rareza artística que he heredado de mi padre, de un artista autodidacta. Principalmente me enseñó a estudiar a las personas; no exactamente como lucían, sino como hablaban, sus expresiones y sus palabras.

Me enseñó a prestar atención a su contenido y a cómo respondían mis sentidos. Cada uno de nosotros es un mosaico de emociones e ideas perfectamente inacabado. Todo está conectado. Todo lo que necesitas es acercarte y luego dar un paso atrás; luego repetir esto. Debes tener el espacio y el tiempo para escuchar la música y bailar.

Amo ser el espejo de los demás; los ojos que posee una luz simple y desnuda para evitar su sombra”.

Matina Vossou ENGLISH Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Matina Vossou is a skillful artist who works in various fields.

She studied Theology at the University of Athens, and in addition to painting, she engaged in writing. In 2018, in Greece, she published her theatrical play “The Nothing of People,” a dystopian and allegorical comedy.

As a painter, Matina is a self-taught artist, forming a colorful canvas with faces that are unusual, leaving behind the classic illustration of the human skin, to express something much deeper through the use of colors and shapes perfectly harmonized. The detailed observation in each of the parts of her paintings opens an extensive path of perceptions and analysis to her peculiar work, an exploration of the senses.

“Every face is a journey. Looking at faces is probably going to be the longest trip we will ever make.

Every color is an emotion. What we feel is the only present we know and by this, we define our lives.

I paint faces, shuttered in tiny pieces of colors, without the protection of their socially accepted skin, frozen in a moment of truth, which is necessary for us to be introduced to ourselves.

Acrylics and a toothpick—the artistic oddity I inherited from my father. He was a self-taught artist. Mainly, he taught me to study people; not exactly the way they looked but the way they talked, their expressions, and their words.

He taught me to pay attention to their content and how my senses responded to it. Every one of us is a perfectly unfinished mosaic of emotions and ideas. Everything is connected. All it takes is to step closer and then take a step back; then to repeat this. You have to have the space and time to hear the music and dance.

I love being the mirror of others; the eyes that a simple and bare light possesses in order to avoid its shadow.”

ESPAÑOL Abel Bellido Córdova es un artista plástico y caricaturista boliviano. Tiene un vasto y galardonado camino artístico de más de 20 años, con un trabajo diverso, presente en diferentes áreas. Así ha incursionado en el cine como director de películas bolivianas como: Lo peor de los deseos, Zeta 2040 y El averno, con la que fue ganador del premio Eduardo Abaroa a la mejor película en Dirección de Arte (2019). Participó también en la edificación de esculturas en espacios nacionales como el Parque Cretácico de Sucre (2006), en la plaza central de Potosí «El bulevar» (2015). Además, tiene esculturas por todo el país, y fue ganador del concurso Nacional de Artes Plásticas 14 de septiembre en Cochabamba.

Asimismo tiene en su haber exposiciones colectivas, siendo la más reciente en Santa Cruz, Bolivia (2020).

Su trabajo como caricaturista se ha desarrollado en los principales periódicos del país como: La Prensa, La Razón y Pagina 7, fue ganador del Premio Nacional de periodismo otorgado por la Asociación de Periodistas La Paz el 2012, 2015 y 2018. De igual manera ha sido seleccionado dentro de los 20 caricaturistas más representativos de Latinoamérica en el concurso «Humor Gráfico de México» del Cartón club, el club de la caricatura latina, y fábrica de cultura AC. Participó también de exhibiciones internacionales como «Art in protest» de Human Rights Fundation.

Abecor es uno de los principales caricaturistas contemporáneos de Bolivia, su obra tiene un profundo mensaje social, que se ve íntimamente comprometido con la realidad que le rodea, muchas veces expresando de forma clara y concisa aquello que otros callan.

“Desde muy pequeño fui desarrollando mi pasión por el arte inspirado por el trabajo de mi padre como arquitecto, desde entonces no recuerdo mi vida sin hacer arte. Una de las actividades que ha marcado mi carrera y le ha dado un rumbo inesperado es mi trabajo como caricaturista, que empezó por una necesidad económica y terminó convirtiéndose en un compromiso social, donde puedo mostrar diferentes acontecimientos políticos y del cotidiano social, creando así miradas diferentes de hechos importantes buscando siempre las metáforas que permitan involucrar a quien las mira.”

Abecor ENGLISH Abel Bellido Córdova is a Bolivian plastic artist and cartoonist, who leads a vast and award-winning artistic path of more than 20 years, with a diverse work, present in different areas. Abecor ventured into the cinema as a director of Bolivian films such as Lo Peor de Los Deseos, Zeta 2040 and El Averno, with which he won the Eduardo Abaroa Award for “Best Film In Art Direction” (2019). “From a very young age, I developed my passion for art, inspired by my father’s work as an architect. Since then, I have not remembered my life without making art. One of the activities that has marked my career, and given it an unexpected direction, is my work as a cartoonist. My work started out of an economic need and ended up becoming a social commitment, where I could show different political and everyday social events, thus creating looks of different important facts, always looking for the metaphors that allow involvement by those who look at them.”

ESPAÑOL Wilko es un talentoso y galardonado artista de origen Alemán, con una amplia trayectoria tanto artística como académica. Es doctor en Socio-economía, MBA, Máster en Macromedia, en Dirección de Empresas. Además es licenciado en Bellas Artes y Estudios en el área de grabado.

Cuenta con numerosas exposiciones en Madrid y por toda Europa. Fue ganador del Premio de Calcografía de la villa de Madrid (2002).

Propone en su magnífica obra, elementos sombríos que armonizan con la representación de la muerte, demostrando su audacia y calidad como pintor virtuoso.

“Desde pequeño me gustó mucho dibujar y pintar. En Bellas Artes comencé a trabajar con todo tipo de materiales, los que cultivo: temple al huevo, óleo, caseína, etcétera. Actualmente, mi obra es variada, empleo todo tipo de técnicas. Valoro la diversidad de los temas y extiendo mi amor hacia el arte como principio, el orden como sistema y el progreso como fin. Defiendo mi versatilidad y no sigo ninguna línea en concreto. He hecho marinas, comic, pop, arte erótico, collages con billetes de banco... me gusta hoy deshacer lo hecho, aprendí a dejar de querer gustar. Para ello, transformo una obra antigua, puentes volados en nuevas obras con procedimientos como grabado, serigrafía, monotipias, pintura… en versatilidad personal.

Soy un artista de series como marinas, calaveras, y de proyectos de vidas muertas con sillas “ Stuhl-Leben”, Artivismo, el último: Kunstkapital (Capital Arte), crítica social al dinero, con mi web “www.billetesmunicipales.com” de bancos españoles intervenidos. El primero lo hice en colaboración con Norman Foster en 1988. Sacrifiqué un billete de 1000 pesetas, en una cara pinté yo, en la otra, Norman. No me importa mostrar toda esta trayectoria polifacética. Me enorgullece haber seguido las Bellas Artes hasta sus últimas consecuencias. Así quiero hacer con el Arte. De esta forma creo en el Arte “integral”, como corolario para sacar lo mejor de nosotros mismos y denunciar lo que puede empeorar este hermoso mundo de tod@s. Por ello mis obras van desde mi conciencia hasta el mundo.”

ESPAÑOL Guto Ajayu vive en Madrid, España desde 2017. Es licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) en Bolivia.

Nació en las montañas sagradas de los Andes y pasó su infancia entre la sierra y la cuenca del Amazonas boliviano.

Todas estas vivencias y las raíces de las antiguas culturas precolombinas dejaron una gran huella en él. Como artista de grafiti adolescente y fascinado por el concepto del Pop Art que proponía encontrar inspiración en objetos cotidianos, comenzó a combinar estos elementos con su herencia cultural.

Su trabajo es irónico y profundo al mismo tiempo, lleno de colores intensos y atrevidos, que combinan filosofías antiguas y sagradas con nuestra «locura» contemporánea cotidiana.

En cuatro años de carrera profesional, su trayectoria incluye 6 exposiciones individuales, más de una decena de ferias de arte internacionales, alrededor de 70 exposiciones colectivas y piezas ubicadas en colecciones públicas y privadas en más de 25 países de todo el planeta.

“Soy Guto Ajayu, el último hijo del Sol. Heredero espiritual de los Imperios Andinos. La filosofía ancestral y los símbolos sagrados de la antigüedad son parte de mi crianza, mi vida y mis raíces. Siento la necesidad de recuperar todo este paradigma y presentarlo con una perspectiva contemporánea. Siempre fui rebelde, por eso soy adicto a la libertad que me da el arte urbano y siento la necesidad de utilizar objetos y símbolos populares en mi arte. ¡Toda esta vorágine dio como resultado mi arte, que es la mezcla de simbología antigua con colores intensos y salvajes! El significado sagrado del pasado tiene un nuevo significado para mí, que aún no he descubierto.”

Guto Ajayu ENGLISH Guto Ajayu has been based in Madrid, Spain, since 2017. He has a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (U.M.S.A.) in Bolivia.

He was born in the sacred mountains of the Andes and spent his childhood between the highlands and the Bolivian Amazon basin. All these experiences and the roots of the ancient pre-Columbian cultures left a great mark on him.

As a teenage graffiti artist and being fascinated by the Pop Art concept that propose finding inspiration in everyday objects, he began to combine these elements with his cultural heritage.

His work is ironic and deep at the same time, full of intense bold colors, which combine old and sacred philosophies with our everyday contemporary “madness.”

In four years of his professional career, his trajectory includes six solo exhibitions, more than a dozen international art fairs, around 70 group exhibitions, and pieces located in private and public collections in more than 25 countries all over the planet.

“I am Guto Ajayu, the last son of the Sun. Spiritual heir of the Andean Empires. The ancestral philosophy and the sacred symbols of antiquity are part of my upbringing, my life, and my roots. I feel the need to recover this whole paradigm and present it with a contemporary perspective. I was always a rebel, that´s why I am addicted to the freedom that urban art gives me and I feel the need to use popular objects and symbols in my art. This entire maelstrom resulted in my work, Ancient Symbology with intense and wild colors! The sacred meaning of the past has a new meaning for me, which is yet to be discovered.”
