On March 26, 1978 Laura Branigan appeared on the "Midnight Globe" newspaper. This was certainly in one of her first newspaper articles she got as a new young performer while was in search of start her soloist career. Her distinctive emotional singing in her auditions for various companies, attracted some attention in the artistic environment. Soon, but not without difficulties, her hard work of several years was about to start bearing fruit, the following year she finally signed with Ahmet Ertegun for Atlantic Records to release her debut album.
