ALLROUND WAVE The new allround wave sail PEAK takes the place of the Steel, however the sails do not have much in common. Renato Morlotti designed the PEAK as a 4-batten sail up to size 4.7 sqm and with shorter mast and boom length. Thanks to these features in combination with the use of new materials, the sail is considerably lighter than the Steel (400 gr. at 4.7 sqm) and offers also an easier handling.

The PEAK has a distinctive profile and impresses with great acceleration even in onshore conditions. The complete mast panel is now made out of Dacron and therefore loads immediately to provide the sail with a comfortably absorbed feeling.

Even in rough conditions, the sail stays controllable with only one trim and is thus also perfectly suitable for being your reliable partner in strong winds.

Compared to the Blow, the outline of the PEAK is less compact, the profile more elastic and the on/off is even more distinctive.

FREESTYLE The BEAT had to undergo the most extreme diet among all Gun Sails models.

The complete upper area of the sail constructed with our new and light Square-Ply material and as well with the new Kevlar Warp Laminat in the stressed zones and in the leech.

With the use of these new materials, Renato Morlotti was able to reduce the weight up to 400 grams compared to the previous model. Another significant change is the reduction of the boom length.

With the BEAT you will now get a super light, super compact freestyle sail with a superb handling for each kind of trick or manoeuvre.

The outstanding workmanship - typical for Gun Sails - remained, as well as the excellent performance that makes the sail also interesting for freeriders.

NO CAM FREERACE The name says it all: the RAPID is the fastest of our camless sails and according to the last year’s test results of the specialized press, probably also the fastest in its class.

The RAPID impresses with excellent early planing, easy control, incredible top speed and a huge range of use with just one trim. Compared to the Future, they have only the easy handling in common, apart from that, the RAPID is a sporty freerace sail with a direct feeling and a maximum planing performance. With the RAPID, you do not need to worry about wind holes, it brings you easily through.

Four tube battens provide the sail with a very solid profile, even in limits, you can just keep hooked in, hassle-free and easy-going, and the RAPID keeps its stunning speed. Riders in search of an even easier handling can use a high-percentage RDM mast with the smaller sizes up to 6.7 sqm without significant loss of performance.

3 CAM FREERACE The VECTOR is our high-end freeracer for ambitious riders who love long blasts and the thrill of speed. Equipped with 3 roll cams, 7 battens, thereof 4 tubes, and a double-sided profiled mast sleeve provide the VECTOR with an immense early planing power, acceleration and high speed without any limits.

Despite unchained performance, the VECTOR retains an easy and comfortable handling.

The cambers will be rolled onto the mast after rigging and offer an outstanding rotation.

Once you are hooked in the harness and sheet in, the sail will nearly do all the work automatically and it will get you going. Also riders of a medium skill level and slalom beginners will be amazed by the easiness of controlling that speed machine.

4 CAM SLALOM Renato Morlotti amended the new GS-R with some significant modifications for the new season, such as a new and lighter material for the mast sleeve and the upper sail body, an improved mast sleeve shape and the boom has been further shortened from 2013.

Sophisticated technical details like 5 tube battens for maximum centre of effort stability, neoprene covering of the boom cut for better aerodynamics and three clew eyelets for unlimited trim flexibility signify a substantial difference to the freeride and freerace sails.

With the GS-R, you go for an uncompromising speed machine, designed to win.

Josh Angulo revealed the potential of the sail during the Sylt Worldcup, where he was the leading rider up to the final round. However you don’t need the power of a pro in order to take out the full performance of this race sail.

Thanks to its balanced profile and harmonic twist, the GS-R is easy to steer and easy to control.

The GS-R is intended for sporty speed and slalom riders.

With the newly designed sizes from 10.0, dedicated formula riders will be supercharged.

A.C.E.S. CONCEPT

With our A.C.E.S. mast system, we provide a quick overview about our various mast models.

Depending on the personal performance requirements and budget, you will definitely find your right mast. From A like Advantage to S like Select, our masts are sorted by carbon percentage, performance and price. Rule of thumb: The more carbon percentage, the higher the price and the faster the reaction speed of the mast which will equate to more performance. As a sail manufacturer, we guarantee of course that all recommended Gun Sails masts perfectly fit our relevant sails and that the maximum performance can be reproduced. From the Advantage to the Select, all Gun Sails masts are produced in high specification Prepreg Carbon Technology, whereas the carbon percentages and the direction and configuration of the fibers mark the separation between the different models. This Prepreg Carbon process in combination with the high-quality materials guarantees the best results in mast response, durability and an optimum of weight.

Technical criteria such as length and stiffness (IMCS) are almost standardized with all mast providers, differences can be found in the bending curve. Thanks to our Constant Curve bending curve which is unmodified for years, you can on one hand also use older Gun Sails sail models with our current masts, and on the other hand, our masts are also compatible with most of the sails from other brands.

POLYAMIDE PROTECTIVE SKIN Gun Sails masts are equipped with a Polyamide surface, which offer a significant improved protection against abrasion and scratches. Thanks to the special finish, the masts are even more resistant against UV and thermal impact.

In addition to this, it provides the Gun Sails mast line with a unique look and an extraordinary durability.

UNIVERSAL TOP FITTING

Our masts are equipped with a universal top fitting. In this way, all of our masts can be used in sails of other brands which use a male pin system instead of a female top cap.

RDM vs SDM Which mast fits which sail? This question always comes up when buying a new sail.

The following information will help you to find the right mast for your sail.

RDM, Reduced Diameter Mast, also called skinny mast, indicates masts which have a reduced diameter (33 mm inner diameter of the base) and a nearly uniform profile from base to top.

SDM means Standard Diameter Mast and indicates masts with a standard diameter (48,5 mm inner diameter of the base) and a conical shape running from base to top.

RDM masts carry several advantages: ■ Higher impact resistance due to higher wall thickness and reduced mast diameter ■ Easier rigging, the skinny mast glides easier into the mast sleeve ■ Better handling for waterstarts or in manoeuvres where you grab the mast ■ In general an often lighter feeling although RDM masts are often heavier At “Best Mast” you can see for each sail, if you can use beside a SDM also a RDM. The wave sails Blow, Peak and Transwave as well as the crossover sails Torro and Beat can be unrestrictedly used with RDM. Meanwhile, the majority of our clients opt for an RDM. The use of RDM with our camless flatwater sails Future and Rapid can only be recommend restrictedly.

For further details, please have a look at the relevant sail pages. The RDM is not suitable for a use with the camber sails Sunray and Vector.

These sail lines are designed exclusively for standard diameter masts and get their best performance with them.

The GS-R can only be used in the smaller sizes 5,0 and 5,6 sqm with a RDM. MASTS

119 € The Advantage line is for those looking for a price-point and robust all-round mast with unbeatable price performance ratio. These masts are ideal for beginners and intermediate sailors who look for a versatile and robust carbon mast for wave, freemove or freeride use.

Due to the low carbon percentage in the Prepreg technology and a Polyamide surface of the base, Advantage masts have an above-average durability. As real allrounders, they have compatibility with most of the other sail brands. The RDM models are equipped with an RDM adapter.

BOOMS The Gun Sails boom line follows the A.C.E.S concept of the masts and makes it even easier for you to have the appropriate components to complete your rig. From the most reasonable Advantage line up to the 100% carbon boom Select, here you will find the right boom to fit your personal needs.

The bending curve of the tubes is adapted, depending on the size, to the relevant range of use. We have made a distinction between the classic and the modern new school curve of the models Cross, Expert and Select. The modern bending curve enables a fatigue-free sailing as the gripping area of the tube is as straight as possible and the front hand is not overstretched.

Regardless whether you require a boom for wave, freestyle or race use, our booms are perfectly suitable for every range of use and each sail type.

CROSS MONOCOQUE ALUMINIUM

Cross booms are made from high-quality T8 aluminium and have outstanding rigidity values.

These are not breakdown booms due to the monocoque construction. The tubes of the smaller size are produced in the “tapering” technology. This means that they have a slimmer diameter for a comfortable grip and towards the rear end, they get thicker in order to insure more stiffness.

From size 180 on, the tube diameter shows a continuous tube diameter of 29 mm for increased stiffness. The modern and ergonomic new school curve enables fatigue-free sailing as the tube is quite straight which avoids a hyperextension of the front hand.

TERMS OF TRADE ORDERING

You can place orders via telephone, fax, mail or Internet. Please always quote your full name and address as well as the delivery address if it is different from your home address, and your telephone number in case of any question.

If you already have a customer number, please let us know as this will speed up the process, and note it clearly. If you have any further question, please do not hesitate to contact us.

DELIVERY

The delivery will be effected by UPS or another reliable carrier appointed by us.

Deliveries abroad

We have standard flat rate freight charges for most of the European countries. You will find these charges on our website at the "Service" section (Shipping costs).

For deliveries to all other countries, we will charge you with the accruing freight costs.

Should you need further information on this point, just send us an email stating your required articles and we will let you know the exact amount of freight costs.

Regarding deliveries in Non-EU countries such as Switzerland, Norway, etc., we will only charge you with the net price. The VAT of your country will be charged by UPS when delivering your parcel. In case you receive your delivery in Germany, but then you export the goods in a Non-EU country, you have the possibility of receiving back the German VAT (19 %) by returning the original custom documents, which you will receive at the border when making the custom clearance, to us. Then we will make a money transfer to your credit card or bank account for the relevant amount.

Deliveries within Germany

Freight costs within Germany are € 15,00 for sails, masts, booms and other bulky items; boards: € 40,00 and for smaller items up to 3 kg and neoprene articles € 5,00.

Delivery will be free of charge for 2 sails or a total order amount of more than € 500,00 (except boards).

For articles to be sent later due to unavailability, there will be no additional freight costs.

If you want to pay via Cash on Delivery, an extra fee of 5,00 Euro will be charged.

Damaged Goods

Please ensure that the receiver of the consignment inspects the outer packaging and the contents of all parcels before signing the carrier’s delivery note.

If any part of your order is defective or missing, please reflect this on the carrier’s note e.g. «damaged in transit» or «1 parcel only received» etc. and refuse delivery of the damaged parcel only and contact us immediately.

A signature of «received in good condition» will void any subsequent claim for damage in transit.

PAYMENT

The prices quoted in our Online Shop are including German VAT (19%).

For the payment of your online order, you can choose between payment via credit card (VISA or Mastercard) or Cash on delivery.

COD is possible within EU countries (except Greece and the new EU-countries, within Norway and Switzerland. Another option is an advance payment on our bank account.

Should you require a payment in advance, please contact us and we will issue a Proforma Invoice.

In case of payment with credit card, we ask you to state the complete number of the card (16 numbers), the expiry date, the owner of the card and the card verification number, which is on the backside of your card in the signature field, the last three digits. We will charge the invoice amount before despatching the goods.

For a payment «Cash on delivery» a surcharge of € 15,00 will be priced.

RETURN OF GOODS

Items that on reflection you feel are not right for you: You can return any item within 2 weeks after receipt and we will refund the selling price of the item on condition that the item is returned to us as originally packed, unused and undamaged.

The customer will bear the freight costs of the return of articles.

Items that show possible defects in materials and/ or production processes: Should the item show possible defects in materials or production processes, we ask you to notify us about this immediately, whereas probable transport damages should be notified immediately to the driver.

Please return these faulty goods back to us including a brief note describing the problem for us. Please contact us before returning bulky articles in order to find the most favourable way of sending it back. Please understand we will not accept receipt of goods that are not prepaid carriage.

In case of a warranty repair or exchange, Gun Sails will bear the costs of the new delivery.

CHANGES

We reserve the right to make technical alterations for improvement of products and quality without prior notice. There could be minimal differences in colour due to the graphic representation on the screen and our catalogue or changes in production materials
