The senior class is $1200 in debt due to homecoming, first day of school and grad night expenses. “The senior class started out with $1100, so they had quite a bit set up towards homecoming,” Student Activities Director Lisa Hall said. Homecoming payments usually come out to be $1100, but this year, another $200 was needed to build a permanent float base. In addition, although first day activities are usually not in the budget, the senior class spent $410 on them, in addition to another $2000 on its first down payment for grad night. Every year, each class has its own account set up and classes fundraise to get money. “The account is under the general fund of the student body,” Hall said. “The student body could choose to help the senior class, which depends entirely on how much money it makes from dances and such, and transfer DEBT—p. 2

Teachers Sam Picture and Lettie Weinmann are supervising the project, along with Principal Noreen Likins. “We can use it as a very powerful communication tool,” Weinmann said. The project calls for a group BULLETIN—p. 3

After being shut down for almost a year, the Gunn Robotics Team (GRT) has reformed under the new leadership of seniors Daniela Buchman and Marianne Kvitko. Having received official approval to restart from Principal Noreen Likins and former GRT advisor Bill Dunbar on Nov. 29, the team is beginning to prepare for the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) competition. The joint efforts of Buchman and Kvitko resulted in Likins and Dunbar allowing the team to restart. “Marianne and I spent a lot of time in meetings with Ms. Likins and Mr. Dunbar,” Buchman said. “After many meetings and lots of planning we finally got approval to start ROBOTICS—p. 3
