After an early start to collect the troops from various parts of Southport, we rallied up the muddy hillside to Koonjewarre Campground After piling bags into the hall, introductions were said, teams were formed, and battle gear was donned The sun was shining, and just like that – Ories was about to begin.

Many an activity occurred over a jam-packed 48 hours - with highlights including an Amazing Race, the Slip N’ Slide (nil broken bones, somehow), Capture the Flag, Trivia, and a Dance Floor that saw people cutting shapes without inhibitions (thanks alcohol!). Despite some sore heads the next morning, it was safe to say we all had a blast getting to know one other and running amok – especially since textbooks, lectures, and the library were about to become our new normal

Funniest Moment: Aron getting dunked in the lake. (And then sooking about it, choosing to stand fully drenched on the sandbanks instead of getting back on his kayak).

Best Activity: The Slip N' Slide - if freeform figure sliding was a sport, then the Australian Olympic Committee would've been frothing at the potential prospects .

Whether it was the funky costumes, some muddy misadventures, the unbearable humidity, or the nerds checking the TBL content on Sunday morning before everyone had sobered up from the night before, we hope everyone had a blast, and – for better or worse – a memorable time!
