First of all we would like to say thank you to all the great customers & friends who have come out to the sale in previous years to purchase bulls. Your support has given us the ability to continue to develop our program and customer satisfaction is a priority for us.
With that what a CRAZY year 2020 has shaped up to be. Luckily ranchers are used to facing adversity head on & we are proud & thankful to live where we live & do what we do. As you view these bulls in the sale offering keep in mind they are less than 12 months of age which is not the norm for most production sales in the area. We calve our cows the same time as most of our customers. We have found that good cattle who have the ability to perform with less inputs and have more natural ability to gain, thanks to heterosis & good growth genetics, prove again and again that they are value added. In addition we have seen the premium that is paid on a uniform, heavy set of feeder calves, therefore we are bringing you just the bulls you need to make them. The bulls have been raised on mama’s milk, grass and a complete mineral program. They were not supplemented with Creep at any time. The genetics that are used on our cows have a strong maternal line, we believe the cow is the most important part of any pedigree and program. We strive to breed cows that are moderate framed and easy fleshing, reducing inputs to be productive. The bulls are fed and bred to thrive in our regions large pastures, hard pan soils and rocky hills. We have found that hybrid bulls can give the advantage of heterosis to any program, improving performance, foot quality and increasing profits along with still allowing producers to retain high quality replacement heifers
& not sacrificing the angus foundation of the animal.

- All bulls are guaranteed against any injury that would keep them from being a breeder for the first breeding season. If a problem occurs, please contact us immediatly, a suitable replacement will be furnished or credit will be given towards next years sale. Credit will be calculated by (Purchase Price - $1500 (salvage value) = Credit. The buyer can choose the preferred option. This guarantee does not cover the death of the bull. All claims must be made by September 1, 2021. - Free keep until May 15, free delivery to your ranch. Take the bull home sale day and deduct $150/hd. - Volume Discount - Any single buyer that purchases 3 or more bulls on sale day can deduct 5% off their total purchase. -Bulls will be sorted & sold by sire groups. - These bulls are not overfed or pushed, they are grown out slowly & penned in a 10+ acre lot to ensure soundness and get a true picture of their genetic performance - the TMR that they are recieving contains a mineral pack and rumensin premix and is balanced to acheive a moderate 3 lb/day gain to help ensure sound feet and fertility, they exceeded expectations & are gaining an average of 3.5 lbs/day. -Health - Bulls were given One Shot Ultra, Bovi Shield Gold 5 and injectible Dectomax at weaning, then later poured with Clean Up. They will be given breeding shots prior to delivery. All breeding & health exams are performed by Oahe Veterinary Clinic. -Scrotal measurements that are listed are adjusted by age based upon actual measurements taken on January 11th. We have found this to be a more accuarate measure due to the bulls being less than 12 months of age at the time of the sale. All are within the acceptable size to pass a breeding exam & will be remeasured by the veterinarian during semen testing prior to delivery. -Each Bull has a complete Igenity Profile available on him and they are all DNA test confirmed Homozygous or Heterozygous Black by Igenity. In addition each bull has been parentage verified by DNA. - If you are unable to attend the sale and want to place a bid let us know. There is a sight unseen guarantee on all bulls. How to interpret Igenity Beef results: Igenity profiles of purebred & crossbred bulls help you evaluate their genetic potential for maternal, performance and carcass traits. This makes it easy to review and focus on those traits that are important to you. Ranked on a scale of 1-10 against all samplings. Igenity reports on 16 traits to help you select, manage and market your cattle. Using Igenity profiles can help you know more about the genetic potential of young breeding stock as you evaluate their potential to impact your herd. BW - Higher Score Higher BW potential - Lower the score lower the BW of the animals progeny. CED - Greater Probability a will be born unassited. Higher Value = greater calving ease. CEM - all genetic factors that impact a first calf heifers ability to calve unassisted. Higher value is more calving ease Milk - Higher Milk profile means more lbs of calf weaned due to dams milk production DOC - Genetic Potential to be calm or have calm offspring. Higher score indicates higher probability of acceptable disposition ADG - identifies genetic potential for post weaning growth Weaning Weight - The higher the number, the higher the weaning weight of the animals progeny. Yearling Weight - The higher the number, the greater the yearling weight of the animals progeny. REA - Ribeye Area - estimates muscling in a beef carcass in sq. in. of ribeye at the 12th rib. Larger REA progency have more muscle & higher percentage of retail product.
