Shopping
North Broward is well situated for shopaholics & necessity shoppers alike.
Coral Springs is well-situated for shopaholics and necessity shoppers alike. Coral Square Mall—part of the national Simon properties— features five department store anchors and 120 specialty merchants. Children love to come here for the indoor carousel, kiddie train and saltwater aquarium display. The Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall - the second most visited Florida attraction—is also just a short drive on the Sawgrass Expressway. That location offers bargain hunters nearly two square miles of stores to explore. If mall shopping is not your idea of fun, Coral Springs has large stand-alone department stores throughout the city. These include Best Buy, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Bed Bath and Beyond, Buy Buy Baby, TJ Maxx and more. Promenade at Coconut Creek is North Broward County’s premier open-air shopping and dining experience, featuring over 45 stores, boutiques, and restaurants and Silverspot Cinema - a state-of-the-art, 11 screen luxury theatre! Whether you’re looking for the comfort of a familiar store chain or the laid-back atmosphere of a neighborhood hangout, you can find it here.

seniors IN cREEK
The City of Coconut Creek offers a multitude of activities for the senior community. Located in the South Community Center, the Senior Center offers social activities, fitness, games, discussion groups, movies, guest lecturers, a book club, parties, and much more.
The Senior Center temporarily closed in March 2020 due to COVID-19, but we offered programs to the members through phone calls and Zoom programs. We re-opened the Senior Center on October 12, 2020 and offer at least two programs a day.
Open to both Coconut Creek residents and non-residents, the Senior Center encourages seniors to be active. To
become a member, you must be at least 50 years of age and pay the annual membership fee. The annual membership fees is $20.00 for Coconut Creek residents and $30.00 for nonresidents.
We are hopeful that in the near future we can provide field trips to the members. Some of the field trips they attended in the past are plays, zoos, museums and each trip included charter bus transportation.
