It is also where theatrical terms such as Props, Crew, and Green Room began. There is a wealth of history, as well as ghosts, royal intrigue, anecdotes, and humour.

Directed by Dominic Cooke, the play explores the clash between modern, independent Vivie Warren and her mother, who has funded Vivie’s elite education through a secret life built on exploiting the patriarchy. Shaw’s 1893 play was banned for decades for its bold stance on prostitution and women's economic oppression.
