Stuart Sheppard and Jason Wyatt of GWT Outdoors Inc. are trailblazers for outdoor living spaces. After years focusing on interior shading solutions, Sheppard was introduced to Renson, a Belgian-based shading solution provider. “I knew there was an enormous potential for these structures to be used in the United States at both residential and commercial levels,” he says. He became the company’s second dealer in the U.S. After running GWT Outdoors in the northeast, Sheppard and Wyatt expanded south, selecting Naples, Florida, for their showroom at The Collective. “The Gulf coast is the right fit with its vast amounts of rain and heat cycles throughout the year,” Sheppard explains. “Protection from the elements is paramount—there’s a huge need for the products we offer.”
