Dear Reader, Many restaurants are special, but some are extra special. For the first time, we can properly honour these establishments, and the people behind them, as judged by those in the best position to know. Namely, the leaders of Bahrain’s 5 Star hotels. Because it is required of them to know inside out what makes any restaurant special, and to know Bahrain’s restaurant scene, and the best establishments operating in it.

We offered no suggestions, nor categories. Our only stipulation was that any restaurant named should not be connected to their own hotel brand (obviously).

How we compiled the information provided, has been open and transparent among all judges – every judge is aware of the restaurants voted for by every other judge, and have reviewed the spreadsheets we compiled to access votes.

This month’s Bahrain 101 Magazine will be the authentic and the honest guide for diners in Bahrain.
