我们注意到，个别南澳州联邦议员近日借所谓“国家安全”对中国驻阿德莱德 总领馆进行无端污蔑。有关言论毫无事实根据，相当荒谬。

中国驻阿德莱德总领馆设立 4 年多来，按照《维也纳领事关系公约》履职尽责， 竭诚为在南澳州的 5 万名华人华侨、1.1 万名中国留学生提供领事服务，致力 于促进中国与南澳州人民的相互了解和互利合作，赢得了南澳州各界的肯定和 赞誉。

需要指出的是，对中国驻外机构的肆意抹黑无助于中澳关系的发展和两国人民 的利益，是不会得逞的。

Remarks by the Spokesperson of the Chinese Consulate-General in Adelaide

We noticed recently that a Federal Senator, citing so-called “national security”, made groundless accusations against the Chinese Consulate-General in Adelaide. His relevant allegations, in disregard of facts and truth, are absolutely ridiculous.

Since its establishment over four years ago, the Chinese ConsulateGeneral in Adelaide has been performing duties in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, dedicated to providing consular services for 50,000 local Chinese and more than 11,000 Chinese international students, and committed to promoting mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between China and South Australia. All these have won full recognition and wide acclaim from all sectors of society in South Australia.

It should be pointed out that any malicious slanders against Chinese diplomatic mission are not conducive to the development of ChinaAustralia relations and the interest of our two peoples. Any attempt to do so is doomed to failure.
