Explore enchanting Costa Rica from its Caribbean coast to the Pacific shores, finding out why this small Central American nation has become synonymous with biodiversity and natural beauty.
Remarkable highlights arrive one after another: Tortuguero National Park, where jungle-canopied canals wind through pristine wilderness and Manuel Antonio National Park. Striking views of rainforest and exceptional wildlife encounters are simply the norm. Keep your eyes peeled for sloths moving with deliberate slowness through the canopy, troops of howler monkeys announcing their presence from treetops, sunbathing crocodiles on riverbanks, and vibrant toucans that seem almost cartoonishly colourful.

This is the holiday of a lifetime for nature lovers! After flying to Quito, Ecuador's high-altitude capital surrounded by volcanic peaks, your adventure begins with a trip to the enchanting Mindo Cloud Forest. You'll visit a butterfly garden and an orchid park, search for hummingbirds with their iridescent feathers catching the light as they hover impossibly still.
Then comes the main event, flying to the Galápagos, where evolution itself is on display. Your first base is Santa Cruz Island, you'll venture to a private ranch in the Highlands where giant tortoises roam free, their timeworn faces and unhurried movements utterly mesmerising. You'll take a boat to Isabela Island and visit important wetlands teeming with birdlife, spend time at the Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre learning about conservation efforts, then return to Santa Cruz to visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. Finally, you'll sail to San Cristóbal Island, learning about the archipelago's fascinating geological and human history, before a coastal cruise offers opportunities to spot extraordinary seabirds including the charmingly named blue-footed booby.
In the words of travellers
“Ecuador has many experiences to enjoy and the Galapagos Islands were on another level - Just awesome and a privilege to be there.” Robin Merritt

The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center aims to share their cultural knowledge and inspire understanding of the Lil’wat and Squamish Nation cultures. The center also provides youth from the reserves with transport for classes and the opportunity to train in the hospitality industry through the on-site museum and cultural tours. Since 2008 they have trained 410 youth.
During our Grand Tour of Canada & the Rocky Mountaineer tour you will visit the center and learn all about the Lil’wat and Squamish Nation cultures. You’ll also be able to participate in activities such as a medicinal tea ceremony, bannock tasting, or a tour of the museum and grounds.

We believe that we should take care of the communities we visit, which is why we decided to set up the Travelsphere Cares initiative. Through this scheme, we donate some of the profits from selected tours to help those in need – it’s a great way to give something back, and by booking, you’re helping too. Here we take a look at two such projects.

Travelsphere cares
In 2011, two years after the earthquake that hit San Miguel de Sarapiqui, the CoopeSarapiqui cooperative established the Mi Cafecito Coffee Tour to try to find ways for the coffee producers to earn more money. Now The Mi Cafecito Coffee Tour is a tourism and agriculture co-op which has created many employment opportunities for the community and connected 200 local farmers with a market to sell their products.
On our The Best of Costa Rica tour you get to see the Co-op in action. During your visit of this community coffee plantation, you will gain an insight into the lives of Costa Rica's coffee producers. There will also be an opportunity to sample the coffee and purchase some to take home as a souvenir.
We have a range of Travelsphere Cares initiatives in The Americas and beyond. Learn more about all of our projects that you could visit at travelsphere.co.uk/cares

Follow in the footsteps of intrepid adventurers as you explore Peru. This is a land where age-old civilisations built cities in the clouds, the Amazon begins its journey to the Atlantic, and cultures have blended over centuries into something unique.
Uncover the colonial elegance of Lima, Peru's coastal capital, then venture deep into the Amazon jungle in the pristine Tambopata area. Your lodge looks directly onto one of the mighty Amazon River's biggest tributaries, jungle sounds providing your evening soundtrack.
Next comes Peru's most famous highlight, the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, perched high on a mountain ridge above a lush river valley. Whether shrouded in morning mist or bathed in afternoon sun, this "Lost City" never fails to inspire wonder. From the Sacred Valley, you'll make your way to Cusco, once the Inca Empire's magnificent capital, where Spanish colonial architecture sits atop Inca foundations. Then travel across the vast Altiplano to Puno sitting on the shores Lake Titicaca – a lake home to unique floating reed islands. You'll return to Lima after a marvellous holiday absolutely full of nature and captivating scenery.

Join us on a tour exploring three fascinating South American countries, each wildly different from the others. Our adventure begins in Santiago, Chile's cosmopolitan capital pressed between the Andes and the Pacific.
Santiago is remarkably diverse, with different regions and hubs varying considerably—from bohemian Lastarria with its street art and intimate cafés to affluent Las Condes with its gleaming shopping centres and mountain views. From Santiago, we'll drive over the Andes mountain range, crossing one of the most magnificent mountain passes on Earth, to reach Mendoza, the wine capital of Argentina and known for its exceptional Malbec.
