This sweeping South African adventure begins in cosmopolitan Cape Town, where Table Mountain’s cable car carries us above a city framed by ocean and mountain alike. We’ll settle into a comfortable routine of sunrise and sunset game drives each day in this spectacular and diverse game reserve. Namibia is a land of staggering contrasts, and this journey traces them all, from towering dunes to ancient rock art and the wide-open plains of Etosha.
From Windhoek, the road leads us to Sossusvlei, home to some of the world’s tallest sand dunes, their colours shifting from apricot to deep red as the sun moves across the sky. The coastal town of Swakopmund, with its handsome Germancolonial architecture, gives way to the haunting beauty of Damaraland, where ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein and the geological curiosities of the Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes await.
A visit to the Damara Living Museum and an excursion to a Himba village offer us a window into Namibia’s oldest cultures, while days in Etosha National Park bring openvehicle game drives in search of elephant, lion, rhino and giraffe around the famous salt pan’s waterholes.

Morocco unfolds as a country of vivid colour and contrast, and this journey takes us through its grandest cities and landscapes. We begin in Casablanca, where the soaring Hassan II Mosque rises beside winding medina lanes, before we trace the footsteps of sultans to Rabat’s ancient kasbahs.
In Fes, we’ll wander through a UNESCOlisted labyrinth of tanneries and artisan workshops, before dining in a traditional riad for a true taste of Moroccan hospitality. The road south takes us through the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara’s rosegold dunes, where a stay at a desert kasbah hotel awaits. Along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, ancient fortresses rise like sandcastles from the earth, while Ait Benhadou’s towers provide a cinematic backdrop.
