Your itinerary

DAY 1 UK - NAPLES

Today you will fly to Naples. On arrival we will transfer you to your hotel. After time to settle in, meet your fellow travellers over a drink and dinner this evening. (D)

DAY 2 SORRENTO

Hike 4 km/2.5 mi - 3hrs

After breakfast we will drive to the village of Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi and on to the Monastery of Il Deserto. After time to admire the panoramic views, we’ll set off on our walk. We’ll follow ancient paths up to the peaceful hamlet of Casarlano, and then make our way to Sorrento. On the way we’ll stop for lunch at Farm La Sorgente, we’ll sample the cheese, along with other freshly made produce, local wine and limoncello.

Our walk continues to the delightful fishing village of Marina Grande. Here, we board a private boat for a cruise along the coast. (B,L,D)

DAY 3 AMALFI & RAVELLO

Hike 8 km/5 mi - 3hrs

Today our walk begins in Amalfi town. From here we follow the old Valle delle Ferriere through beautiful woodland. Then we’ll continue through the national park. We then travel back to the hotel by coach, stopping at Ravello and walking a short distance to admire the spectacular scenery. (B,D)

DAY 4 MASSA LUBRENSE - DAY AT LEISURE

How you spend today is completely up to you. You could choose to relax at the hotel, or join us on an optional trip to Pompeii. (B,D)

DAY 5 PUNTA CAMPANELLA

If you wish, there will be time to enjoy a cappuccino before we set off on today’s fascinating walk. We’ll take in remote villages, the iconic Path of the Gods and bustling small towns. Enjoy a well-earned drink, relax on the beach or explore Positano at leisure before we return to the hotel by coach. (B,D)

DAY 7 MASSA LUBRENSE - DAY AT LEISURE OR OPTIONAL TO CAPRI

Spend today at leisure, doing exactly as you wish or join an optional excursion that gives you the chance to set sail for the enchanting island of Capri. On our guided tour you’ll get to see the Faraglioni Rocks and visit the wonderful Gardens of Augustus, where you’ll find colourful terraces filled with flowers.

This evening we’ll enjoy a farewell get-together and dinner at the hotel. (B,D)

DAY 8 NAPLES - UK

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)

Please note: This tour requires a good degree of physical fitness and is not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Most walks take place on paths and tracks. Some will be more strenuous and will involve slopes, high rocky steps and terrain, cliff trails with no handrails, hills, stiles and foot bridges which may be rough underfoot at times. Sturdy hiking boots and walking poles are essential.

Your hotel is located on a hilltop in Massa Lubrense, a fishing village about a 15-minute drive from Sorrento. Overlooking the sea, and within walking distance of the waterfront restaurants, facilities at the hotel include a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, sun terrace and private access to a rocky beach. Guest rooms have private facilities, TV, air-conditioning, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

Our day begins in Termini di Massa Lubrense, where your Local Guide will introduce you to the local grocery, fruit and vegetable shops which is the perfect location to grab some snacks for today’s hike.

From here, we’ll set off on foot and start the gentle climb up to one of the two peaks of Monte San Costanzo. Our descent takes us past an old NATO radar, which is now an air traffic control unit, down to Punta Campanella. After pausing for a while to rest our legs and take in the view of the Island of Capri, we’ll make our way back to Termini on a cobblestone footpath. (B,D)

DAY 6 PATH OF THE GODS

Hike 7 km/4 mi – 4.5hrs

After breakfast we will drive to the village of Bomerano.
