Inside, I use plastic bins or simple baskets to separate things Put heavy stuff at the bottom and light or less used gear higher up.

When a task takes you around the garage or even outside you’ll appreciate a rolling tool cart. I keep mine close to the bench. Before I start working, I stock it with wrenches, a drill, tape measure, and any bits I might use I just roll it with me

Let’s talk about shadow foam inserts It sounds complicated, but it’s really helpful I traced each tool outline in foam and cut it out. Now every tool snaps into its spot. It looks neat and makes it obvious if something’s missing
This method keeps my drawer layout tidy, with no jumbling and tools protected from scraping against metal
Group Everything into Zones
Think of your garage as a workspace with zones:

Use labels Even if it’s just a sticky note, it reminds you where each tool goes Don’t overload drawers. If they’re too stuffed, they become useless. Keep the floor clear Hanging cords or tools lets you clean easily Clean once a week Five minutes is all you need to keep clutter from coming back
Bonus: Think About Your Flooring
If your garage floor is ugly or slippery, adding a rubber or tile layer really helps A ribbed marble tile or grip mat looks nice and keeps everything from sliding It also helps when you’re rolling a cart or carrying heavy items to your workbench.
