Preparation: Equipment test 1. Run the system test on the same computer you will sit your exam and in the same place - https://home.pearsonvue.com/acca/onvue ▪ If you are using a corporate laptop, make sure you run this test to ensure there are no firewalls that could prevent your exam from starting ▪ Use a wired internet connection if possible ▪ Only use a genuine version of windows software to run your exam

Preparation: Prepare your room ▪ You must be in a closed private room with solid walls and door

▪ No other people are allowed in the room

Preparation: Desk setup Make sure you know how to set your desk up correctly. Your desk area must be clear with only a calculator and clear glass or bottle of water and only using equipment which is allowed in the exam.

Remember, scrap paper is not allowed.

Booking instructions ▪ Email to students entered to sit centre exams in December 2020, explaining the reasons for change from the planned centre exams to the remotely invigilated option

▪ The centre exam fees will be credited back to student accounts

▪ Students have a choice and can re-book, as exam ‘at home’ or wait until it is possible to sit exams at the centres again.

Preparation: Mobile phone ▪ You will need a mobile phone or webcam for the exam check in process

▪ When the check in process is complete, place your phone out of arm’s reach and on silent

Preparation: Bathroom breaks ▪ You can take one bathroom break during your exam, up to 5 minutes

▪ Notify your invigilator, via the chat function, when you are leaving for and returning from your bathroom break

▪ The exam timer will continue to run ▪ The exam may be terminated if you are away from your screen for more than 5 minutes © ACCA

Preparation: Calculators and scrap paper ▪ Calculators are allowed in the exam ▪ A noiseless, cordless pocket calculator which may be programmable, but which must not have a printout or word display facility in any language may be used

▪ Scrap paper is not allowed and cannot be used during the remotely invigilated exam
