myGTC Workday for Grand Traverse County Employees

Employee Directory

The employee directory in workday will have the ability to be far more detailed than the current system. Your Y job

title,

email,

department

and

a

list

of

your

team

members will be available. You may also include more information like time type, education, etc. if you choose to disclose that information. myGTC will implement a photo ID for the employee directory for all employees.

*myGTC is not up and running yet, it will be officially launched in the fall.

County Spotlight Drain Commissioner Andy Smits

The County received a glowing email from a resident a week ago regarding Drain Commissioner Andy Smits. Mr. Smitz went above and beyond to help the residents shining a positive light on not only himself but the County. Thank you Mr. Smitz for the hard work you do for the County.

Good Afternoon: My wife and I own a home on White Pine Dr in Interlochen on Cedar Hedge Lake. The significant rising of the lake water level over the past couple of years is creating serious ecological problems in contiguous wetlands and for homeowners. When we brought the problem to the attention of Green Lake Township offices we were referred to Andy Smits of the Grand Traverse Drain commission.

We need to let you know that Andy has been incredibly responsive and helpful in helping assess and address this issue. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Andy's professionalism and integrity really need to be acknowledged and honored.

We just thought you should know.

We’ve been researching, listening, poring over survey data, and connecting with industry experts to bring Grand Traverse County employees a meaningful Wellness program! This will be an ongoing process, but in the meantime, we wanted to share some updates and things to watch for…

Reintroducing Marquee Health

Our wellness vendor Marquee Health offers a variety of resources and opportunities through their wellness portal, MyMarqueeHealth.com, like health improvement modules, on-demand wellness videos, personal health assessments, blog articles, monthly newsletters and webinars, and personal one-on-one health coaching. They also administer our wellness challenges and MyRewards program. Marquee is our third-party vendor - they have no connection to our health insurance plan or employment data - everything they offer is confidential and free to all County employees and your families. If you’ve already enrolled, you’re all set! Check out the MyWellPortal Tutorial to get reacquainted. If you haven’t enrolled, simple

Our My Rewards program is still a thing, because engaging in your health can and should pay off in more ways than one! Find information in the ‘Rewards’ tab at MyMarqueeHealth.com and log your activities like daily steps and dental visits to earn points toward swag and quarterly raffle prizes.

Our wellness program is designed by employees, for employees. We all have a huge range of schedules, locations, job descriptions, etc. so in order to design inclusive, accessible programming for all to benefit from and enjoy, we need your input! Drop us a line anytime at wellness@gtcountymi.gov, or better yet, join our team! For a commitment of as little as an hour-long meeting per month, you can help shape our program and make sure it rocks!
