myGTC
Workday Timeline
Finance, Human Resources, Treasurer, and Administration staff have been working diligently with Workday staff to bring everything from the AS 400 system into our new Workday ERP system, myGTC. This summer will consist of multiple testing phases leading into the early fall. In the fall all employees will gain access to GTC University where you will find multiple resources on the use of myGTC. GTC University will also include training videos ready for employees to view before the launch in October. Look for more details about myGTC and GTC University in future issues of the County Communicator.
*myGTC is not up and running yet, it will be officially launched in the fall.

We’ve been researching, listening, poring over survey data, and connecting with industry experts to bring Grand Traverse County employees a meaningful Wellness program! This will be an ongoing process, but in the meantime, we wanted to share some updates and things to watch for…
MISO SALMON RECIPE
Try this healthy salmon recipe!
Ingredients:

1 lb center-cut, skin-on salmon (cut
into 4)

2 tbsp sliced scallion
½
tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp sesame seeds 2 tbsp white miso paste 2 tbsp mirin 1 tbsp soy sauce
Directions 1. Preheat the broiler and make sure the rack is in one of the top two positions. 2. Place tin foil on a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray. 3. Whisk miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, and ginger in a bowl until smooth. Thin with water if needed. 4. Toast sesame seeds on a dry skillet

ABOUT THE SURVEY The United States Department of Treasury is providing Grand Traverse County with over $18 million in funding to address the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. The County Administrator has formed an American Rescue Plan advisory committee (ARPAC) to make spending recommendations to the Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners.

WHAT WILL BE ACCEPTED: The DEA will accept pills and empty vape cartridges only. The collection is for household-generated pharmaceutical waste. This program is anonymous and all efforts should be made to protect the anonymity of individuals disposing of medications; no questions or requests for identification should be made.
WHAT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED: No illegal drugs (to include marijuana or methamphetamine), liquids, needles/sharps, inhalers, mercury thermometers, aerosol cans, biohazardous materials (anything containing a bodily fluid or blood), flares, personal care products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc.), household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, chemicals, oil, or gas), no unmarked acids. No physician, veterinarian, hospital, long-term care facility, or pharmacy stock), and must not be held inside a pharmacy.
