No matter what your career or personal goals are, GTCC’s Workforce and Continuing Education program is here to help you reach them! Learn the basics of reupholstering chairs and other small furniture. Students will sew cushions, skirts, and all covers for reupholstery; retie and tie springs; brace frame; and secure the webbing. Wednesday, 1-3:30 p.m. Feb. 7-28 $60 Greensboro Campus This course provides an introduction to the art of making a nine-inch Log Cabin Quilt Block. Log Cabin Quilt Blocks form a repeating pattern used in quilts where strips of fabric are sewn around a center block. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to complete a beautiful quilt.

This introductory course focuses on basic machine sewing using your own sewing machine. Gain a thorough understanding of sewing tools, terminology, and practical techniques in addition to sewing machine troubleshooting and maintenance.
