Each year, clinicians, educators, higher education professionals, change agents and students gather for two days of critical interactions and community around topics of oppression, identity, society and social action. The conference’s renowned William Cross Jr. Lecture Series invites participants to deeply explore the topic of identity. With an emphasis on skillbuilding, attendees leave the conference with practical, actionable strategies that embrace anti-oppressive perspectives.

HUMAN PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION EAGLE SUMMIT

Savannah, GA • March 24 - 25, 2023

Georgia Southern University (GSU) and the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) will host a collaborative human performance optimization (HPO) summit in March 2023. The summit will offer educational sessions for both the individual soldier and the providers who work with them. The content is focused on improving physical and mental readiness for soldiers and will have lecture and lab based offerings.

SOUTHEAST CONFERENCE ON SCHOOL CLIMATE

The Southeast Conference on School Climate (SeCSC) is a two and half day conference that provides research-based resources for improving school culture, climate, and safety. Administrators, counselors, and teachers participate in sessions packed with practical, evidencebased strategies aimed at creating learning environments to improve every student’s mental, behavioral, and academic performances. The SeCSC primary strands include Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Mental Health, School Safety, Social Emotional Learning, Restorative Practices, and Mindfulness and Wellbeing. In addition, each conference session supports topics related to strategies that can be used for School Improvement Plans (SIP).
