The Gstaad Palace has welcomed guests since 1913. Still owned by the Scherz family in its third generation, it remains one of Europe’s few family-run grand hotels — independent, rooted in its values and shaped by genuine hospitality.
High above Gstaad, the seasonal house offers 90 rooms and suites with views over the Bernese Oberland. Contemporary comfort meets alpine warmth, creating a sense of place that feels natural and lived in.
Across five restaurants, guests discover Swiss, Italian and international cuisine, including gourmet dining awarded 16 GaultMillau points. Later in the evening, the GreenGo nightclub brings another side of the Palace to life — known for its history, its music and the people who have danced there.
The Palace Spa offers 1’800 square metres dedicated to wellbeing. In summer, guests gather around the Olympicsized outdoor pool, « PISCINE », or spend time on one of four tennis courts.

Walig Hut Situated 1’700 metres above Gsteig, this authentic alpine hut from 1783 is a peaceful refuge surrounded by stunning nature with the Gstaad Palace’s customary comfort and service. The Palace nightclub has been considered the place to be in Gstaad since its opening in 1971. The preserved original interior design by Teo Jakob provides a stylish atmosphere and resident DJ Jim LeBlanc guarantees a thrilling party night for an illustrious clientele.
The Palace Spa was opened in December 2007 and has an area of 1’800 m2
With its exclusive alpine interior design, the spa area blends perfectly into the hotel’s overall appearance. The wellness area is available to all guests at the Gstaad Palace, Palace Spa members and day guests with reservation.

The 1’800 m2 spa area offers you a 36.5°C Jacuzzi, an indoor pool and a spacious relaxation area with a fireplace. Relax further in our sauna and steam bath (separated by gender). In our treatment rooms, you can enjoy massages and treatments. Our wellness professionals also offer various facials and body treatments as well as innovative rituals with the following brand products: Sisley, Jardin des Monts, Augustinus Bader, Shiva Ananda and I.D. Swiss Botanicals, Nougatine (childcare products).
KIDS SPA
We also warmly welcome our younger guests to enjoy the spa facilities during the following times, when under adult supervision:
• Indoor Pool: Daily from 8.30 am to 8.00 pm
• Jacuzzi: Accessible daily from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm for children aged 4 to 14
Please note that children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the saunas, steam bath relaxation area or fitness area. You can find the range of children’s massages in the Children’s Spa menu.
SIGNATURE SPA TREATMENTS
Hammam Experience
Our hammam ritual takes you on an unforgettable two-hour journey of well-being in six stages. After a relaxing foot bath, you can enjoy peace and quiet in the infinity room, a scrub with black Moroccan soap, soothing warmth in the hammam and private pool and an oil massage by the open fire.
Treatment for two people of 120 minutes at a cost of CHF 680.-
The experience can also be booked for one person only, at a cost of CHF 480.-
Gstaad Palace Signature Treatment
This 75-minute ritual is specially designed to harmonise your body and mind. We use carefully selected products and fragrances from our Alpine region, including flowers and honey from Turbach and essences from the Gstaad Palace garden.

Private Spa Experience
There’s a touch of Saint Tropez here. A film set in art deco style - constructed in 1928 by Beda Hefti, the famed ETH architect who built Switzerland’s most stunning swimming pools at the time. In summer, the «PISCINE» is and has always been the “place to be” at the Gstaad Palace. Not simply because of the Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool, heated up to 23°C, which is free to both hotel and non-hotel visitors. They run their lengths or practice their jump from the three-metre tower. The bar is just as vital as the swimming pool. Here, light summertime comfort cuisine is served. On weekends, the «PISCINE» transforms into a beach club with music provided by resident DJ Jim Leblanc, the mastermind of GreenGo.
Sports on offer Gstaad Palace puts together various workout options for its guests, both in summer and winter. The infrastructure includes a gym, activity room for Yoga and Pilates courses as well as personal training, four sand tennis courts (only open in summer / legendary training camps are held every year with the tennis stars Roy Emerson, multiple Grand Slam winner from Australia), a squash court, indoor pool and heated «PISCINE» Olympic-sized (only in summer).
Seminar Rooms 5 event rooms for up to 300 people, including the legendary Salle Baccarat (named after the original crystal chandeliers from France), former “Salle Chez Maxim’s” which provided space in the 1960s for magnificent soirées with stars of the stage from Mireille Mathieu and Maurice Chevalier to Gilbert Bécaud, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.
