Meet Norma Duran from the Jupiter Service Unit. When she moved to Jupiter four years ago, she decided to become a Girl Scout Leader and Volunteer so could share her love of Girl Scouts in a meaningful way with her two daughters. She has been a Troop Leader for two troops. Last year, Norma took on the job as Registrar for the Jupiter Service Unit. She helped them to achieve their 100% membership goal! She has a beautiful family of four, with two very sweet daughters. She’s a full-time mom and dedicates most of her free time to her girls and their activities.
Her passions include Girl Scouts and photography.

This is what Norma says about her Girl Scout journey: “I love to help with placing girls in troops. It gives me the opportunity to make those little girls happy to find a troop and be a part of making the world a better place”.

Are you READY? THE 2018 GSSEF Cookie Sale Program is just around the corner! The 2018 GSSEF Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program Dates are January 18 - February 11, 2018 This year’s cookie sale theme is Altogether Awesome and that truly describes our Cookie Sale Program. Girls will love the new cookie mascot: a plush sea turtle. By participating in the Cookie Sale Program, girls will build a lifetime of confidence as they learn the five skills (goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics) essential to leadership, success, and life. Let’s take a quick dive so you can guide your girls to a wave of success.

The Cookie Line-Up This year we will be offering the same delicious varieties that we offered last year, and at the same prices. The traditional flavors remain at $4 per box and the specialty cookies which are the S’mores and our Gluten Free Toffetastics are only $5 per box. The Initial Troop Order – New Troops and Returning Troops

This is when the Troop Leaders and girls plan their Cookie Selling Strategies and place their orders. Initial orders are due December 9. How do you know how many boxes to initially order? Here’s what you can take into consideration. Our per girl sales average last year was 219 boxes per girl, so if you are a new troop, and want to earn your first fun rewards, just make sure you order at least 200 boxes or more per registered Girl Scout and you will be in the Game. Returning troops who place an initial order by December 9, 2017 equal to or greater than their 2017 final sale will earn the initial order rewards. Congratulations to Wildflower, Sea Star, Royal Palm, Luna, Magnolia and Hibiscus for achieving 75% of their membership goal by October 31! These Service Units have earned one FREE camp amenity for their Camporee this year.

But wait, there is more: • All Service Units that achieve 85% of their membership goal by December 15, 2017, will receive a Council gift card in the amount of $150. • All Service Units that achieve 100% of their membership goal by March 15, 2018, will enjoy a luncheon with our CEO, Lisa Johnson, for up to 6 members of their Service Unit Leadership Team AND 10 complimentary Adult Memberships for the 2018-2019 year. Back to Troop Coupon: Redeem Until December 7 Did you earn a $10 Back to Troop coupon? If so, now is the time to redeem it on your next purchase in the Retail Store. The coupon redemption deadline has been extended to December 7. It is good on any item in the store. There are no exclusions, except gift cards. Remember to bring your coupon with you.
GSSEF will be closed for winter break starting December 21. Normal hours of operation resume on January 2, 2018. Happy Holidays!
