A Letter From the Artistic Producers

Welcome to George Street Playhouse and to An Old-Fashioned Family Murder !

We’re thrilled to share this brand-new comedy-mystery from Joe DiPietro, one of the most beloved playwrights at George Street. This marks Joe’s eighth collaboration with George Street Playhouse, and it’s a joy to welcome him home once again. His trademark wit, warmth, and clever storytelling are on full display in this hilarious whodunit that celebrates the fun of a great mystery and the thrill of live theatre.

We’re equally delighted to welcome the incomparable Sally Struthers to our stage. Her comedic brilliance and heart make her a perfect match for Joe’s sharp writing, and together, under the direction of Larry Raben, with this phenomenal cast and creative team, she brings an unforgettable spark to the production.

We want to take a moment to thank you—our audience. Your presence here tonight keeps theatre vibrant and alive. Every laugh, gasp, every moment of shared discovery reminds us why we do what we do. Your support allows artists to take risks, tell new stories, and keep the lights shining bright at George Street Playhouse. There’s more to come. We hope you’ll join us for a new holiday production of Ebenezer Srooge’s Big Jersey Christmas Show in December which promises to be fun for the whole family. Additional programming and special events are also in the works to complement our mainstage season, and our donors and subscribers are the first to know. There’s never been a better time to join us for what promises to be an unforgettable season of great theater.

We hope you enjoy the intrigue, laughter, and surprises that await. Thank you for spending your evening with us and for being part of our vibrant community.

With gratitude,

Chris, Scott and Laiona
