I want to personally welcome you into the GSP community. Our GSP Peer Mentor Program pairs incoming GSP students (that’s you) with upperclass students in GSP who are committed to helping you transition and succeed at Georgetown. As a GSP alumna myself, I can attest to the fact that this program was a huge pillar in my success during my freshman year on the Hilltop and my hope is that this will be your case as well. To help with that, I’m planning several fun opportunities for you to engage with GSP and your peer mentor throughout the school year! If you have any questions about the Peer Mentor Program (PMP), please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at gspeermentors@georgetown.edu.
As your student advisor, I am here to connect with you and ensure that you are connected to resources on campus throughout the year. You’ll quickly learn there is a plethora of resources at your feet! I am also available to answer questions about ANYTHING related to the transition to college. As a first-gen Hoya myself, that transition seemed extremely nerve-racking at the beginning and I would love to ensure I ease as many of those nerves as possible throughout your transition. As always, gsphoyas@georgetown.edu is a great starting point for any concerns. If you ever want to speak with me or a student advisor, you can email me at ej238@georgetown.edu or one of your GSP graduate student advisors. Enjoy the rest of your summer ☀ I cannot wait to meet you later this August!
With GSP Love, Eriana James Peer Mentor Program Coordinator
All first years are paired with an upperclassman GSP mentor who provides advice and support, based on their experiences of navigating the transition to life as a college student. They can show you around campus, attend GSP events with you, or grab a bite to eat! What’s more, they can help answer questions about Georgetown, registration, college life, GSP resources, etc. To select your mentor, review their profiles on this guide and submit your selections on the form!
To help you pick the perfect mentor, we have created a series of Mentor Profiles below. Profiles are organized by school (no alphabetical organization) You can choose any mentor for any reason!
Reply to your mentor when they reach out! They are here for you! Be open to learning about and from them and letting them get to know you. At GSP, we value all students showing up authentically as themselves.
Once you've made your notes for your top selections, submit your requests for your top mentor choices, by filling out our selection form. The earlier you submit, the higher the chance you get paired with your top choice!
GSP gives mentors funds to do something fun or explore the area with you. Make sure you utilize this resource with your mentor! Also, use your Corp voucher for a quick and casual on-campus coffee date (available on a first-come, first-serve basis)! 1 1 3 3 2 2 4 4
Email Eriana at gspeermentors@georgetown.edu for questions or concerns about the Peer Mentor Program.
Email gsphoyas@georgetown.edu for any questions or concerns about the Georgetown Scholars Program or any general questions you have! We’re here to help! Call the GSP office (202) 687-7351 for any questions or concerns about the Georgetown Scholars Program or any general questions you have!

I love exploring new food spots around the city, and I’m always down for a good laugh. About Me: I'm just a chill artsy guy who loves to make your mom jokes :) My hobbies are sketching, crocheting, knitting, and sleeping. I'm the free-est on weekends and I love going out and trying new (or old) food :3 If not going out, you'll either find me in my dorm cooking and watching YouTube (probably Markiplier or a wholesome anime) or in lau listening to k-rnd and c-rnb and getting hit by academic truck-kun (✨studying✨). If you're looking for places to chill or study, I've tried to explore this campus more than I should have (procrastination✨). I’d love to share my favorite spots! :3

Survivor: Georgetown The Hoya Battalion
Clubs and organizations can be a great way to develop social relationships and pre-professional skills while at Georgetown (GU), but by no means are they the be-all and end-all of student life! Some clubs are competitive, such as the many business consulting clubs, while others are open to all. You'll have a chance to meet club representatives at the CAB and SAC fairs held at the beginning of each semester. Many students also find community and develop skills in their research groups or work-study involvements across campus departments!
