My thoughts and feelings are jumbled between all the work in front of me, a sadness in my heart to say goodbye, and all the work GSPC has done over the past year and a half. You have been a faithful people, persevered during some difficult times, which you have put behind you, and prepared yourselves for a new future. The next adventure is beginning again for GSPC to find where God is leading you in this coming year. Congratulations and Happy New Year! I know several things about GSPC that will hold you steady going forward. You are a church of passionate people who care deeply for the poor and hungry. You are unafraid to take mission into the community and overseas. You have deep roots of prayer and service in the name of Jesus Christ. Worship services are glorious at GSPC and the Christian Education programs are strong and an integral part of the church. GSPC has an outstanding music program and there are many more areas of the church I haven't mentioned. Don't let go of your strengths. Be steadfast in your faith and prayers. Thank you for your care of me and all you have done for me. I have a place in my heart for this congregation and its future. Even though I'm moving to Oxford, Mississippi I will keep in touch and pray for you and where God is leading you. I don't want to say goodbye, only that I'll see you again, in the future.
