I Greet Thee, Who My Sure Redeemer Art TOULON
PRAYER OF CONFESSION unison
God of the forsaken and rejected, we know that all people are made in your image, and we confess that we have not always treated others with compassion and respect. There are people in our lives who make us angry, and our anger has led us to act in ways that are unloving and hurtful. We have justified actions that we would otherwise find appalling. Forgive us, Lord. Melt our anger so that we can see the truth and the consequences of our actions. We humbly ask for your mercy, trusting your promises of forgiveness. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. 1

HYMN OF PROMISE
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH unison I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. 2
OFFERTORY DOXOLOGY | HYMN 607

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God all creatures here below. Praise God above ye Heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen!
PRAYER OF INTERCESSION & THANKSGIVING THE LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.
