About Day Camp

Grab your gear and get ready to blast off!

This summer, camp is Out of This World and we’re headed to space! Join us to explore the outdoors and challenge yourself with a week in the woods playing games, singing songs, cooking over a fire, and making friends at GSOH Day Camps in 2026! Each day camp experience includes a variety of activities such as cooking out, singing, hiking, crafts, STEM, outdoor skills, slingshot/archery, and more.

Day camp is an exciting introduction to the outdoors – our aim is for you to have a positive camp experience as you become more comfortable outdoors and in your

own abilities. We will adhere to the safety guidelines established by federal, state and local governments, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., the American Camp Association, and GSOH.

Our programs are full of sun, fun, and adventure. You may choose to attend one camp or pick one for every week of the summer. Although times may vary, a typical day camp is a five-day session held Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Girls register for day camp as individuals. They may request one buddy (must be reciprocal) of the same age level at registration. Girls from the same troop are not guaranteed to be in the same unit.

Day Camp is an exciting outdoor experience that…

• Nurtures social and developmental skills.

• Leads to friendship building.

• Reinforces independence and empowerment.

• Builds confidence through achievement.

• Strives to provide a judgement-free zone.

• Instills appreciation of nature and others.

• Strengthens responsibility through teamwork.

• Provides positive adult and older girl role models.

How to Register

Registration begins Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Camps fill up on a first-come, first-served basis. A deposit of $15 is required to reserve your camper’s spot, with full payment being due May 1, 2026. Financial assistance applications will be processed within 2-3 business days, and fee reductions will be applied to the remaining balance due. Failure to pay the remaining balance for a camper’s registration by May 1 may result in losing that camper’s spot at camp. You can also pay the full camp fee at the time of registration if you wish. New camp registrations after May 1st will require payment in full and each camp week has its own registration deadlines for guaranteeing a t-shirt. Registration for day camps open at 9:00 a.m. EXCEPT for the following:

• Sugarbush Gold – opens at 10:00 a.m.

• KJ River Birch & KJ PawPaw – opens at 1:00 p.m.

Registration Directions

At the top of the page, hover over the “Discover” tab. Under “Activities” click “Event Search.” In the search bar, type in the name of your desired camp. Or type in “Day Camp” to view all the Day Camps we offer.

Click on the desired camp and click the green “Register Now” button to navigate to the registration page. This will re-direct you to the myGS site. You will need to login to your myGS account.

Once on the registration page, enter your desired number of campers on the right-hand side, and click “Add Events.” Select the name or your camper from the drop-down, the applicable Program Grade Level (PGL), T-Shirt Size, Care Package Accessories (optional), and True Cost Fee Adjustment (optional). Once all selections are made, click “Review Cart” to proceed to check-out.

o Your camper’s PGL is dependent on the grade they will complete Spring 2026.

*To register, your camper must be a current Girl Scout member. A deposit must be paid at the time of registration with a credit or debit card.

*For assistance, contact customercare@gsoh.org or call 614-487-8101 and ask for My GS and program registration assistance.

If paying via cash, check or reward card, download and complete a registration form to be mailed to council headquarters from gsoh.org/daycamp.

Paper registration forms (except those with a Volunteer Request Form) should not be mailed to Council Headquarters prior to March 21

Payments (cash, check or reward card numbers) must be included with paper registration. If payment or request isn’t attached, it will delay processing. If you are requesting financial assistance, submit a Financial Assistance Application with the paper registration. The $15 deposit cannot be covered by Financial Assistance.

All paper forms arriving prior to March 25 will be held until online registration opens on March 25 and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

NOTE: Paper forms do not guarantee a spot nor do they provide any advantage over completing registration online.

If you cannot be placed in a camp because there are no spaces available, you will receive a full refund.

Buddy Patch

Bring a friend to camp and celebrate your adventure together with a limited-edition Buddy Patch. Each girl receives one half of a two-part patch, designed to fit together as a symbol of your shared summer memories. Find out more when you register.

Volunteer Opportunities

Spend a part of your summer guiding campers through the great outdoors. Encourage curiosity, inspire adventurers, and be a role model for girls by volunteering at day camp! We rely on dedicated volunteers to help us deliver seven successful, fun-filled weeks of day camp each summer. The number of girls accepted for camp depends on the number of adult volunteers. Grab your friends and sign up to give girls a week full of outdoor adventure.

How to Become a Day Camp volunteer

Review “What Does It Mean to be a Day Camp Volunteer?” on our website and complete a Day Camp Volunteer Request Form at gsoh.org/daycamp.

Please try to sign up by Wednesday, March 11, 2026. This lets us know how many girls we can accommodate when planning for each camp. If you miss the early deadline, we will certainly still accept your assistance as needed.

Not a registered member?

Visit gsoh.org and click “Volunteer Today!”

• Select Camp/Seasonal volunteers and enter some basic information. Check Unsure* if you are only interested in volunteering for day camp and complete your adult membership registration. *By selecting Unsure (found on the first page of your search) you are moving forward to register as a day camp volunteer.

Are you a recent graduate interested in coming back to camp as an adult volunteer? Financial assistance is available to help offset the cost of adult memberships specifically for young adults (i.e new volunteers currently in college, trade school, or working their first job out of high school!)

Check your email for a message from Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland inviting you to join the MyGSOH Community, a link to complete your background check, and next steps to becoming a volunteer!

Already a registered member?

Volunteers must have an updated successful background check completed within the past three years.

All day camp volunteers are required to successfully complete three online trainings, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, Safety Essentials and Getting Your Troop Outdoors (Troop Camp Certified volunteers do not need this one). Volunteers also must also attend training that is specific to their camp. Day camp directors will notify volunteers of the training dates and times.

Being a day camp volunteer is awesome!

There are great benefits to being a day camp volunteer:

• Experience the satisfaction of helping girls learn and have fun outdoors.

• Spend a week making lifelong friends and memories.

• Guarantee placement in the day camp of your choice.

• Receive a credit up to $115 for one girl relative or tagalong (if camp permits) who is a currently registered Girl Scout to attend a GSOH day camp.

Most camps provide separate programs for the preschoolers and boys (grades K–5) of volunteers for a minimal cost.

Refunds and Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation, families may request a refund up to 2 weeks prior to the first day of camp by emailing customercare@gsoh.org. The deposit is non-refundable and there is a 20% restocking fee on care kit accessories. In case of medical emergency, death in the family, or other unique circumstances, late refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. To cancel after the refund deadline to ensure your camper is properly removed from the roster, please email customercare@gsoh.org or call 1-800-621-7042.

Our Pricing Structure

We believe every girl, regardless of financial circumstances, should have the opportunity to experience camp. When choosing your camp, all camps are initially listed at a base price that is adjusted to be more affordable. Before checking out in the online system, you will have an opportunity to choose “True Cost Fee Adjustment” that will increase your fee to more closely reflect the true cost of camp. Financial assistance is also available

for those who need additional support in order to attend camp. Visit www.gsoh. org/camp and click on the Day Camp tile for information on financial assistance.

Choose the registration option that works best for you and your family. All campers will have the same experience regardless of the pricing options they select, and camp staff will have no knowledge of which fee(s) their campers have selected.
