Please take a few moments to fill out our survey about how Possibilities works for you. Your feedback will help us make this guide as useful and informative as possible! Scan the QR code or visit bit.ly/gsnc-possibilities-survey. ! !

How to Use This Guide

Use Possibilities as a tool to help plan your year with your Girl Scout by finding programs that match a Girl Scout’s age level and interests. This issue is available online by scanning the QR code or visiting bit.ly/possibilities-spr-sum-25.

To print specific pages, click Download at the bottom of your screen. Click the printer icon on the upper right. In the Pages drop-down menu, you can choose Custom, which allows you to type in a single page or a page range. Then press Print.

Council-Led Programs

Council-led programs are organized by GSNC staff, offered on a specific date, and require parents or troop leaders to register their Girl Scouts on our website. GSNC staff have organized a schedule of programs for all Girl Scouts in Nassau County to attend!

Most of our council-led programs are drop-off programs. Drop-off programs require parents and caregivers to drop their girls at the program location and pick them up once the program has ended. Parents and caregivers are not permitted to stay during the program for space and facilitation purposes. Staff are made available at these programs to provide supervision and instruction for the girls.

How to register for Council-led programs

Visit gsnc.org/programs and navigate to your program of choice. Once there, click Register to complete the process or you can register on myGS by visiting mygs.girlscouts.org, clicking on the Program tab, and selecting Find an Event. Your Girl Scout will not be guaranteed a spot in a program until you have completed the payment process. Spots sitting in the shopping cart are not saved spots. Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email. This email contains important information such as links, materials required, and rules of conduct. If you do not receive a confirmation email, contact customercare@gsnc.org. Any questions about council-led programs should be directed to customercare@gsnc.org rather than the program partners themselves.

Troop-Led Programs

Would you like to coordinate programs specifically for your troop? GSNC staff have worked with program partners to offer you a menu of program options with set topics and prices.

Instructions for troop leaders and caregivers to organize their own programs with GSNC program partners:

• Review the menu of program options in this guide to see what topics match the interests of your troop.

• Reach out to the program partner directly with the contact information provided in the program description.

• Work with the program partner to pick a day for your troop to have their own program. Some program partners do not have their own venue; in those cases, the program cannot take place at private residential homes, indoor or outdoor.

Council-led program listings are vetted by staff employed by GSNC. This includes ensuring that sanctioned GSUSA Safety Activity Checpoints are followed, and that programming is aligned with Girl Scout requirements.

Complete GSUSA’s Internet Safety Pledge with your Girl Scout at bit.ly/GSNCInternet-Safety-Pledge or by scanning the QR code. Use it as a guide to ensure the safety of your Girl Scout as she enjoys virtual experiences.

• Submit the Local Day Trip Request Application at bit.ly/gsnc-local-day-trip to GSNC Customer Care. This form must be approved by GSNC for the program to take place.

• Market the program to your troop and manage registrations.

• Fulfill ratio and Safety Activity Checkpoints requirements by ensuring at least two approved Girl Scout adult members accompany Girl Scouts attending as a group.

• Oversee drop-off and pickup at the program.
