Issue 6 | The Power of Girl Scouts

Girl Scout Mission Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The Girl Scout Program Grounded in the Girl Scout Promise and Law, Girl Scouting is an experiential, cooperative education program that promotes girls’ personal growth and leadership development. Partnering with caring adults, girls design fun and challenging activities that empower them and raise their voices within a local, national, and global sisterhood.

Girl Scout Promise On my honor, I will try: to serve God and my country, to help people at all times, and to live by the Girl Scout Law.

Finance EOY Finance Reports

Office Hours

It’s End of Year Troop Financials time! June 30th is the deadline for your troop’s annual report. This year, the GSMW Finance Department is setting high compliance goals, and have been working hard to make filling out and turning in your troop financial report easier!

The Finance Department has set aside time throughout the month of June to meet with anyone who would like assistance with their report. The half-hour time slots can be scheduled here, at SignUpGenius.com. Please reach out to customercare@gsmw.org if you need an additional appointment option.

Video Tutorial: EOY Financials

Service Units: EOY Financials Service Units do not have the ability to submit via the volunteer toolkit. The PDF form from prior years is still available, but now Service Units may also complete the report online!

Need some guidance? This YouTube tutorial on completing your end of year financials, via the volunteer toolkit, will guide you through the entire process.

Product Finance Tool

We hope to give you all a shout-out in the next few newsletters for completing this report! Please note that bank accounts are subject to closure if we cannot ensure they are in compliance with GSMW and GSUSA’S financial policies.

The Product Finance Tool, or PFT! This tool will be linked on our website. You can use it to determine the product sales income and expenses for your troop, identify the troop’s proceeds, and to calculate the cost of leftover product. It’s easy! 1. Just enter your troop number in the green box at the top (the specific figures for your troop will automatically populate). 2. Enter the sales values of leftover Fall product and the package count of leftover cookies in the corresponding boxes. 3. The resulting costs of leftover product reflects the troop’s proceeds. This tool is also discussed in the video tutorial: (Here on the website)
