CAMPUS LIFE

1…2…3… Go, Saints! We had a busy fall at GSL with extra celebrations surrounding our 75th anniversary this year! The long-awaited return of the school picnic in September was extra exciting, thanks to some drone photography we implemented to commemorate our anniversary.

THE KVANDE CLASSROOMS

GSL celebrated Former Head of School Thor Kvande for his 18 years of service to the school during the final Celebration Chapel on Friday, May 13. Preschool students sang GSL’s Preschool song, Lower School students shared what they have learned from the Formative Five traits, and Middle School theater students sang a beautiful song from Once On This Island Jr. with adapted lyrics about GSL written by Performing Arts Teacher Leslie Reddick and MishMash Medley cast members. In addition to other gifts, Mr. Kvande learned that the two newest Middle School classrooms were officially being renamed “The Kvande Classrooms” in honor of his hard work to secure this space. He was given a mini-replica of the plaques that now hang outside these classrooms.
